Men’s hockey game Saturday November 2, 7 pm at varsity arena. There’s a large number of students that are attending. Fill up section K in the arena!
My small group of friends and I don't actually have access to the ECE2T7 server and we don't really know many people. Any chance anyone can DM me the link? Would be very much appre
Finally buying a pc because all my upper year ece friends have been telling me that I cannot survive with my 2017 mac alone (which may or may not be an excuse to play mc with shaders :3). I'm trying to figure out what exact softwares are needed so I can figure out what cpu, gpu, and ram I need.
If anyone could provide some guidance on where to find information about the required software programs, or if you could provide a list on what type of software is used, I would be very grateful.
I'm coming from high school and I have a decent understanding of calculus I've done integrals and stuff, with ig an ok understanding of chemistry. Which of those should I take this summer?
Hi, I’m an incoming EngSci and wanted to know where the classes are for first-year EngScis (myhal, etc). Do you ever have any problems getting from class to class on time?
Hi everyone! This Wednesday February 14 the men’s hockey team is playing in the playoffs vs Laurier. Come out and support the school. Expecting a large student body and we are trying to beat last games attendance which was 1100. Game time is 7 pm at Varsity Arena.

Lady Godiva was an English noblewoman who lived during the 11th century AD. Although she belonged to the upper class, she had a reputation for being sympathetic towards the less fortunate and was known to have been a charitable person. It was due to her concern for the poor that the most famous legend about Lady Godiva arose. As a matter of fact, it is due to this legend, in which the noblewoman rode through the town on horseback completely naked, that Lady Godiva lives in our memories till this day.

I am going into my second of engineering science and am currently looking for a CS elective course. I came across CHE488 and TEP234, and I wonder what the difference is between each course. How different are the curriculums? What are the advantages of each one? Which one is easier?
I was going through unread emails today when I saw an announcement about DELNA. Fortunately, I didn't miss the last session.
But then when I was reading more about DELNA. I saw that first-year students also needed to complete some Math Self-Assessment Quizzes that account for 5% of our Calculus 1 grade.
Are those Math Self-Diagnostic Quizzes happening in the summer before classes start on September 7th? If so, when do we get the emails that include the quizzes? Do I need to study for them?
Hope this subreddit is still active haha but yeah title says it all, I also made a post on r/UofT with more context but I’ve been admitted to Chem Eng as a 101 applicant and was wondering if anyone could elaborate on what they think makes UofT “harder” than other eng programs at any school which are all relatively difficult! There are a lot of rumours and people discouraging me from the program because of how “depressed” I’ll get (not to minimise anyones experience ofc , just want to make sure I’m not overly glamorizing UofT but also not treating depression and burnout as given side effects of engineering lol). Thanks so so much for your insights!
Hi guys
I just got accepted into U of T this year for electrical engineering! I actually got in with my first choice as electrical eng but now that I got in I'm having second doubts about my choice as I was torn between electrical eng and computer eng. Is there any possibility later on in the school year to transfer or swap to computer eng without much hassle?
Hi everyone, game 2 of the playoffs vs TMU at Varsity Arena this Saturday at 5 pm. There’s a group of at least 50 students going, everyone join us!!
Hey, I found a lost pair of airpods in Myhal today, if you think they might be yours pls message me - I am most active on instagram (@itsprobablyamy), so that’s the best place to message me. Pls make sure to include their description (model and or case) so that i can make sure to return them to the rightful owner :)
if i don’t hear back from this post i’ll take them to the lost and found
Would I be able to do it without taking any of the 1st year or 2nd year ECE courses? How much knowledge on digital circuits is required? Or can I get by with just knowing C.
Hi everyone just a reminder that this Friday we are all going to the mens hockey game at varsity arena!! Let’s show our support and wear some uoft colours it’s going to be so fun!!

Applied for the Jan semester. Still haven’t heard back. Just wondering if anyone heard an update from the admission office.

I have an offer confirmed for my PEY but this semester has been pretty rough for me. I’m at risk of failing 2 of my mandatory courses for my program. Even if my average miraculously is above 60 to actually continue my PEY, I’m wondering what was it like taking courses while working? Did your profs give you any accommodation?
Also if anyone has delayed their PEY a year because of this, what did you do with the “extra” year? I’d love to hear anyone’s experiences because my academic advisor has been no help.
I am a first year student interested in switching to EE. What are my chances if I have a low to mid 70s average?
Hi. I was planning on taking APS106 (Python Programming) and MAT187 (Calculus 2) in summer this year because i feel that my work load is too heavy and if i continue with everything I will fail.
I wanted to know if summer courses were manageable or harder because of the time crunch. Or just anything that helps me guide my decision.
PS. I can switch Calc 2 of the courses for CHE112 (Physical Chem) as well.
Thank you so much.
