Those type typically from zi char stall, using proper char siew or lup cheong and not diced crab stick, also with wok hei and normal rice (not short grain rice). Really hard to find these days.
Most zi char places these days do such a poor fried rice with almost negligible ingredients and a pre cooked fried egg if you want to add egg.
Went to Shake Shack in Suntec a few months ago and they were advertising a new burger called "Veggie Shack". I tried it and really liked it so had it a few more time over August. Fast forward to today when I visited the outlet again and asked for it but they said they don't have it.
I checked the menu at the store as well as online but couldn't find it on the menu either. During the initial advertising, it didn't look like it was a temporary menu . Anyone here who liked it and knows what happened and where to find alternatives?
I saw some online but YEARS ago im just wondering if there is any that’s still going that I can partake with my friend or solo. like if I finish the food it’s free or smth
almost everywhere is just "low calorie!" completely forgetting the underweight people does anyone know a place where they sell high calorie meals at a affordable price
Hello! I'm celebrating a friend's birthday and am on the hunt for a dense, thick "stick-to-your-mouth", kind of chocolate cake, preferably that can also do delivery! Wondering if anyone has any recommendations, I find that most of the chocolate cakes I've had are on the light+fluffy side. Budget is anything goes. Thanks so much!
Hello! I have recently been on a hunt for good marble cake! Wondering if anyone had any recommendations. I prefer marble cakes with slightly more chocolate taste.
Wanted to go DRIM Korean restaurant but seems theirs isn't hanwoo beef
Is there any recommendations for dessert pie in the west part of Singapore?
Was thinking of going for a Christmas buffet at one of the hotels this year, but the prices are around $158++ per person and above. Is it actually worth paying that much or is it better to get festive a la carte food at a proper restaurant which is probably going to be cheaper per pax?
As the title says. I was eating at A&W with my Granddad, he was saying no one liked wendy's and that mostly old people preferred A&W, but not enough to see it open more shops in the west and south
I’m currently having a major, major craving for CNY prawn rolls but they’re obviously not in demand right now. I can’t wait till CNY, I need to have them now 😭
Does anyone have any places to recommend where I can buy them within the next week or so?
I have a birthday coming up in a few days and have not been able to find any cake shops that make you go WOW with their cakes! My friends keep recommending places like chateraise since its quite last minute but I remember finding chateraise to have one of the worst tasting cakes I've ever eaten(i can't criticise much though since it's a budget chain)
If anyone has any recommendations I would be very grateful!! Every shop I've come across seems to be mediocre at best(or maybe I'm not searching in the right places, who knows) I don't mind splurging as long as it tastes good
Spent a decent amount of time in Kuching a couple of years ago and discovered Sarawak Laksa. Wondering if there are any authentic places in Singapore?
can be traditional or specialty coffee places. Mine’s Nylon, homeground and 20grammes. Recently also tried cata coffee at joo chiat, very nice south american beans they have!
I have this issue where I often am only able to grab dinner around 9-9:30 and frequently find that 90% of restaurants are closed or do final service at 9 even though they are open till 10. What are some good recs for places still open between 9-11. Bonus points for vego options
interested in cafe hopping during this year-end period so im looking for good cafes to visit! i do have a lot in mind but i'm not sure how worth it they are so wld like to hear more suggestions! thanks :)
edit: am more interested in the food offered 😋 (also im more of a matcha person than coffee)
Hi! I'll be having a 5-hour layover at Changi Airport in two weeks, travelling from Australia to Vietnam. I'm looking at the restaurant directory on Changi's website, but I'm a bit lost because there are so many choices.
I'd really appreciate it if you could give me some pointers about which milk tea place is worth a visit. My priority is to try traditional Singaporean milk tea, but I am also open to trying other milk tea brands that are famous to local residents. I'll probably be around the Jewel and T2 transit. Thank you so much!
Location: 129 coffee stall located at Telok Blangah Crescent market (blk 11). First row.
I dropped my wallet earlier today at this stall and the nice auntie who works at this coffee stall picked it up and handed it to the coffee stall owners, who kept my wallet for me until I returned around 40 minutes later.
So grateful to them because I was freaking out and had zero expectations of being able to retrieve my wallet.
Do support this stall if you're in the area. Their stall wasn't particularly busy when I visited but their coffee is affordable and strong.
people are usually talking about lola’s cafe or the thai restaurant, any other recommendations?
I’m pretty confused about the stalls health rating…
I have a couple questions:
Thank you
Having classes there regularly for the next month or so. And recently the IMM cafeteria mostly eating my lunch closes on certain days and Neng Teng Fong Hosptial seems quite pricey. Any places near Devan Nair E2i Institute that have good but cheap food?
Anyone has recommendations for good portobello mushroom burgers in SG?
The one at Garden Slug is REALLLLY GOOD but traveling to Telok Kurau is a pain in the arse :/
im interested in finding places in sg where they sell good ravioli (especially spinach filling) ! (don't mind other types of filling too tho)
no price constraints but would be great if it is reasonably priced
also nice dining environment as it will probably be a place to celebrate a birthday for a friend
thanks!
