Hi all, need some recommendation for high tea around 3.30PM that is near GBTB/MBS area. Family reception after ROM @ GBTB.
Budget maybe around $30-60/PAX.
Hi all! I've been looking for some good quality guanciale and pancetta to make pasta at home. Bought once in cheeseshop and it's not bad, just that all outlets are a bit far and it's hard to hit the $100 free delivery. I saw Redmart got sell too but not sure about the quality. Any other recommendations? Thanks 🙏
what happened to Wu Yue Hua (May Flower) Hong Kong Roast at Serangoon Avenue 3?
Went there today for their bottomless brunch buffet (~$81 nett per person).
Food is pretty decent, but is served at an atrocious pace - would caution anyone who wishes to try it out.
Don't be fooled by the other reviews posted today, honestly feel like they are at a completely different restaurant?
Here's a Google review I posted:
Place is awful. Went on 1 Dec for bottomless brunch buffet.
They advertise a buffet, but almost no food served in the 2 hours spent waiting.
At one point waited over 30 minutes with no dishes, after which they proceeded to serve room temperature food that had clearly been on the counter for a long time. Unacceptable service from a "buffet".
Food was decent at the first 15 or so minutes when it was served hot, but basically stopped coming afterwards. Atrocious service for a place advertising a buffet, they clearly are biting off more than they can chew here. Honestly feels like I ate less than $10 worth of food.
Don't waste your time.
There are some Xiao long Bao and braised pork stalls in Chinatown food complex that are pretty cheap and good. What else do you like around here? Be it desserts, hotpot, anything
Suddenly i’m craving for a Lamb Biryani, any restaurant recommendation which do you think cooks a good lamb biryani? Thanks in advance!
Was looking to buy cookbooks for inspiration and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations here. Anything from Singapore cooking, Malay, Indian, Chinese, Nonya. Or has anyone tried those in Popular, I saw a few on Chinese food, Chinese soups and Zi Char dishes.
Edit: Yes I’ve heard of the internet, I just like a good old fashioned cookbook to browse though.
Apparently The Best of Singapore Cooking by Leong Yee Soo, the Way of Kueh and other books by Christopher Tan are well regarded.
Hello All.
We (my husband & I) are traveling from India to USA via Singapore and will have a layover in Singapore for 12+ hrs. 6AM - 7:55PM this Sunday
Our journey is booked on a single ticket so our understanding is that we are eligible for 96 hour Transit Visa. But we are not 100% sure if our entire check-in luggage will be tagged and we won't have to collect it. We do plan to use the on Airport luggage storage facility to store any of our carry-on and check-in luggage.
Q. Can we safely keep our laptop bag in the Airport Luggage Storage Facility?
Q. Should we pre-book the luggage storage?
Now on to how to plan our day (we are hoping to DIY instead of single use free Transit tours)
We want to go outside airport and also explore the airport. So we were thinking that we'll leave the airport as we get the transit visa and after storing the luggage. From my online research my understanding is it should take us maximum 1hr from arrival to be ready to exit the airport (we also plan to freshen up and change clothes).
Q. At around 7:30AM should we take a cab from airport to city center or bus? -- We don't want to do free transit tour because only one tour is allowed per layover.
we are planning to do use City sights tour itinerary and do that first -- merlion, civic center, gardens by the bay. So the plan is to find a good breakfast place in the city -> have breakfast -> explore the locations metioned in city sights tour.
Next go for the Changi Precinct Tour and find a place for quick lunch
Third is the Heritage Tour but I am not sure if we'd be able to fit this in or if we should do this instead of Precinct Tour because we want to return to airport in time for our flight and also explore Changi (and I think Jewel a bit)
Q. is it enough to come back to airport 3hrs before the departure flight and still have time to explore Changi and Jewel?
We did very scattered research and found the best we could but any one who might have recently done something similar or anyone who might have any suggestion please do share them with us.
We are both 30 years old vegetarian and really wanna explore the best of Singapore we can in this short Layover with maybe some must have food (I feel like I am being greedy with the layover)
Thank you all in advance
Hello all, it will be my first time visiting Singapore. I’d like to know where’s the best hawker centre and what’s the most eat food? I like Hainan chicken and bak kut teh. Thank you.
As i am new to Singapore where i want to have some delicious sea food spots ?
No. No milo. I want to give as christmas present. Don’t wanna give milo even though i feel milo is the most affordable.
In these rainy season days, piping hot fish soup or hotpot is an amazing feeling after a long day. What about you?
Just got put on CNY Lunch planning duty, it's my first job and I haven't doen anything like this before. Any recommendations for about 40pax near West side?
My 5 year old recently took a liking for KFC Zinger Stacker. Abit spicy/peppery she also whack.
Asking for recommendations for other choices!
Thank you
Not sure if anybody remembers there used to be Saybons at PS basement which had really good savoury crepes (they had very good seafood bisque too). Anybody knows where I can find crepes like that?
My family used to go to their Suntec branch often like 10+ years ago, was wondering if there are still any restaurants that serve Western food along with a free flow salad, pasta & dessert bar like them?
I would like to send appreciation gift to a local business I deal with over there but I have no clue where to begin such as what would be a good dessert choices. And since I live in USA, I need to find a store that accept international order, preferably online. Thank you in advance for any input!
Anyone knows where I can find sliced cakes or individual log cakes, especially Chestnut Mont Blanc or Chocolate Praline types, in Singapore? Don't really want to buy a whole big cake. Prefer places that do delivery and have smaller portions.
Appreciate any recommendations! Thank you!

Hi all, wondering if anyone knows where to find nem chua (Vietnamese raw fermented pork)? Tried searching for it online and could not find any restaurants that sell…
7.5/10. Great bowl! Pork is excellent, but the broth is not as creamy as I would’ve liked
