Apparently sickrage, sickbeard and SABnzbd are sites where people go to get pirated content t

https://fortune.com/2024/06/20/five-men-were-convicted-for-running-jetflicks-a-low-cost-streaming-service/

“The indictment states that the cadre obtained content from pirate sites such as SickRage, (also known as SickChill), Sick Beard, SABnzbd, and TheTVDB and offered it up in one place to subscribers”

Multiple install locations on Synology

I'm suffering with multiple downloads on Sickbeard - so google came back with this:

https://www.reddit.com/r/sickbeard/comments/ik8hx6/sickbeard_downloading_multiple_copies_of_same/

I'd like to change the code in the sab.py file as suggested, however searching I have 3! I have no idea how to find out which one relates to the one installed.

admin@DiskStation:/$ sudo find -name "sab.py"
Password:
./usr/local/var/midgetspy-Sick-Beard-a211e87/sickbeard/sab.py
./usr/local/var/midgetspy-Sick-Beard-577fdba/sickbeard/sab.py
./volume1/@appstore/sickbeard/share/SickBeard/sickbeard/sab.py
admin@DiskStation:/$

What's the best way to manage this?

Sabnzbd can't kick off off SickBeard autoprocessTV script

I recently password protected both sabnzbd and SG. Now I get the following error when trying to post process TV shows:

Unable to open URL: HTTP Error 401: Unauthorized

I've tried adding the sickgear id/pw in autoProcessTV cfg and py but get the same error.

Anyone have a Windows solve for the "AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'split' error?"

Hi all- I am encountering this persistent error during postprocessing:

AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'split'

Seems to be something with TVDB show matching.

I have seen a couple of solves for this listed editing the python file lib/tvdb_api/tvdb_api.py but this file doe not exist in the windows version. Right now my only workaround is move the files to the show's folder then rescan files; obviously halts the automation that used to just work.

If you have a workaround or know where to find this file in the windows install, please let me know Thanks!

Sickbeard/SABnzbd help

Hi guys, have been using sickbeard/sabnzbd setup for quite a few years but due to tree impact damage at home, lost my laptop with the setup on it.
I have set it all up again and managed to get a couple of things to download yesterday but now am having no luck just errors.

Edit: Just tried updating sickbeard but that failed due to socket error?

theTVDB moving to a subscription model

from https://www.reddit.com/r/PleX/comments/js00td/looks_like_tvdb_is_switching_to_a_subscription/ I read that theTVDB is changing how it will allow apps to connect to it's API.

Does this mean the end for sickBeard, does it use some other source for episode information or is there some way for it to point at an alternative source for episode information?

SickBeard downloading multiple copies of same episode

Last week, my SABNzbd and SickBeard started downloading multiple copies of the same episodes. I'm talking 30+ times and this is eating my bandwidth.

The error in SickBeard is

unknown failure sending NZB to sab. Return text is: {'status': True, 'nzo_ids':

Seems like this is the problem which is causing it to download many times. Has anyone run into this or have ideas how to fix it? Problem only exists with SickBeard. All my other downloads are fine.

Provider is setup and returns data, but SickBeard claims no data was returned

Hey,

I use have a search provider set up.
When I try to search for episodes, I can see in the log -
"No data returned from https://******api?q=******&apikey=**********************&limit=100&t=tvsearch&season=3&ep=1&maxage=1095&cat=5030%2C5040 "
(I redacted the API Key)

If I open the link, I can see an XML file that does hold a link to the episode I need under <link> with the proper title.

Can anyone help me sort this out?

Grab based on audio track?

Hey - any way to grab a file (show or movie) based on quality of video as well as the audio output? I've got a poor hardware setup and my soundbar only accepts PCM so all the 5.1 stuff that gets grabbed becomes incredibly low volume. I can't transcode as the video is direct play and my sandybridge 2600k wouldn't handle it.

After a solution other than remux of every download

Sickbeard mp4 Automator on Raspbian

I'm trying to move my implementation of Sickbeard mp4 Automator from a Windoze environment to a Raspberry pi. I have the share for my Plex Media all set up, but trying to run manual.py against it gives me

https://preview.redd.it/lnh1rayk4hu41.png?width=556&format=png&auto=webp&s=c78b01f4882931207635e23c632602ad28d4b3e9

I figured maybe my setup of SMA didn't work properly, but when I run "pip install guessit", all is well.

I'm new to Linux, after having worked in Windows for decades, so I have no idea what I'm missing.

Can anyone in Whoville help me?

SHOWQUEUE-FORCE-UPDATE failing with "attribute 'seriesname' was empty."

SHOWQUEUE-FORCE-UPDATE :: Data retrieved from TVDB was incomplete, aborting: Found (series id number), but attribute 'seriesname' was empty.

This started happening last night on many series, and it's causing entire shows to disappear their episode and season information from sickbeard, leaving behind just file entries for episodes already downloaded. Also several episodes have downloaded and saved with no episode names.

This is very troubling because it also seems to cause items that were marked as "1080p WEB-DL" to become marked as just "HDTV"

I am assuming this is more growing pains with TheTVDB and their api "upgrades," does anyone have more information?

Sickbeard MP4 Automater, Compression?

Hi, I have recently looked over my MP4 Automater settings and the resulting file output, and I'm not really satisfied with the file sizes I get.
I currently use video-settings as seen below, but I can't seem to find the 'preset' and 'tune' options I was hoping to find. I'm pretty familiar with Handbrake, and in Handbrake these two options helps compress file size and bitrate/s by a decent amount (at least in my opinion).
I found this about H.264 encode settings using ffmpeg. If you look under ' 2. Choose a preset and tune' I want to set 'preset' to 'slow' and 'tune' to 'film'.

If you know how to implement this in MP4 Automater as arguments in the 'autoProcess.ini' file or even directly into the code somewhere please let me know.

Copy/Paste from 'autoProcess.ini', video-(settings):

output_extension = mp4
output_format = mp4
delete_original = True
relocate_moov = True
video-codec = h264,x264
video-bitrate =
video-crf = 26
video-max-width = 1920
video-profile = high
h264-max-level = 4.0
use-qsv-decoder-with-encoder = True

Thanks!

SEARCHQUEUE-RSS-SEARCH: Error loading NZBgeek URL

Lately I've been getting this error in my error log repeating over and over:

SEARCHQUEUE-RSS-SEARCH :: Error loading NZBgeek URL: https://api.nzbgeek.info/api?apikey=(my api key)&t=tvsearch&cat=5030%2C5040

I've never seen anything like this before. I've double-checked my settings on nzbgeek and changed and re-added my api key twice already with no luck.

Has anyone else been getting this? If so, how did you fix it? I'm not versed in scripting or anything like that But I will give it a shot if it'll help.

Thank you

Edit umask settings for post-process task?

Hi guys, I’m wondering if there’s a setting somewhere that I can check the umask settings associated with the post-processing tasks.

So, I have files in their download directories (644). When the post-processing task runs, the files are processed and placed into their proper directories, but now they have (600) permissions.

This is preventing plex from reading the files.

At the moment I’m resorting to a cron job to chmod every 15 minutes or so. I should add, that this only starting happening since I updated my Linux from 18.10 to 19.10.

Any help would be much appreciated.

If you changed useZip to False you can/should now revert

It seems that TVDB has sorted out the issues with zip files via the API so turning useZip off is no longer necessary. Additionally I found that when I reverted back to the way it was it fixed issues with some shows with huge amounts of episodes that weren't loading properly.

'NoneType' object has no attribute 'split' / Shows missing episodes

I have 2 strange things happening that I think are related and possibly as a result of TVDB API issues and I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this occur. The first thing is I have at least one show that is still in my list and I can click on it but when I go into the page for that show it has no episodes listed. On the TVDB site there are episodes being shown and forcing a full update doesn't give any errors but also doesn't fill the data. The second thing is Sick Beard downloaded an episode of a show but when it does post processing on that episode I get Post Processor returned unhandled exception: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'split' in the log file and if I show debug level I see that it also has a line Unable to match a record in the DB and then goes into some things regarding tvdb_id.

What I am wondering is if at some point TVDB sent corrupt or empty data when SickBeard requested it and now the database entrie(s) for these specific shows are corrupt in a way that forcing an update isn't fixing them. It seems like all other shows that I've checked/worked with are working properly.

If anyone is seeing this or a similar issue please let me know as well as anyone that might have an idea where the root of this problem could be.

EDIT: It seems that the NoneType error is a result of name formatting. For instance, if a show is in the database with an apostrophe and the file I'm trying to process does not have that apostrophe then that's when it fails with this error.... If I add the apostrophe to the file name then it will process. This has worked on 3 different shows for me already but I still have one show that has a - in the name and I can't get it to process no matter what I do. I'm not sure why this is happening anyway as it always has processed everything just fine with minor punctuation issues... I don't know how it resolved them though -- perhaps all of those were related to scene exceptions that SB lost somehow. TBH, I'm not even sure of where SB pulls it's scene exceptions from. If they come from TVDB then maybe this goes back to the API issues again.

Not enough information to determine what episode this is Quitting post-processing

I see people are having issues adding shows, and other no longer having shows downloaded.

I suspect this issue I am having also relates to the tvdb issue, but wanted to reach out to confirm.

In my setup I do not use sickbeard to fetch nzbs, just post process the files after they end up in my DL folder. Some shows have processed fine, but more and more shows are being skipped due to this error.

Not enough information to determine what episode this is Quitting post-processing Processing failed for .....

Are others having this issue?

SHOWQUEUE-ADD :: Error trying to add show: There is no item named u'en.xml' in the archive

Hi all,

Hoping for some guidance here. I had to restore my Synology NAS and when attempting to get Sickbeard up and running, I cannot add any of my existing shows. I will receive the titled error when doing so.

More perplexing is, I receive the same error when attempting to add a new show. It'll actually add the folder, but I'll receive the same error with the show not listed.

Any insight?

Thanks!
