We are planning a trip to Kodaikannal for mushroom picking and trying them. Can someone guide me on which will be the best time to visit and whether it is a good idea?
Hi, neighbors dog got into these. I don’t think she ate very much but thought I’d be proactive and try to get an ID for them. Was maybe 15 mins ago, dog isn’t in distress any more than usual. Ie she’s pretty excited and yappy. She’s If anyone can help I’d I’d appreciate it. Thanks!
We started getting the backyard ready for the wonderful spring we are hoping to get and found these mushrooms. We are wondering if these are "True Morels" or "Mock Morels" or something else. Thank you ahead of time!
What kind of shroom is hanging out in my terrarium/isopod enclosure? Should I change the parameters?
they've cost me my phone.
call me stupid or weak, whatever, it doesn't matter.
yesterday I posted some similar ones for you guys to identify, it ended up to be some pan species, well the images weren't quit enough and I though, it is better if I go back to the same place but this time I will take images of the habitat. i went and started looking in the same spot for some mushrooms like the ones I found, well it wasn't so long till I found some cool ones, I started taking photos and I looking for some more, until I noticed I guy mid 30s approaching me, he seemed suspicious. didn't lift my head so I don't seem too worried, he came to me and said hi, I did reply but I kept my guard on, he asked me if I can give him my jacket because he is feeling cold, I wasn't in the state to negotiate really, i hoped he would take the jacket go on with his journey, but unfortnatly he didn't want to go and decided that he needs my phone too, usually when someone approach you with the intention of robbing you, they definitely carry weapons with them, i thought about fighting the guy, but i didn't want to risk my face or a hole in my stomach in the middle of nowhere, i gave him the phone, and felt frustrated but i kept finding this mushrooms all the way back to the entrance.
anways, i hope this image are better than the ones i took yesterday, this is the mushrooms i found tomorrow, if you are wondering how i took this pictures, i used my dad's phone and I'm posting from my laptop.
I’m in TX USA but got them on spore works. Thank you.
i’m always taking pics of mycelium and this one i’ve never seen before. i’m in maryland
Canberra ACT, although I would assume they were probably picked somewhere near by in NSW. Apparently they are subs, the stems have a much bluer ting in person.
Found in cortina (North west Italy), growing on a fir tree log. What kind of shroom is this? I know it’s some kind of witch’s butter (Tremella genus) But unsure on what exactly.
Also, are these edible? I haven’t eaten any and don’t want to either, I just want to expland my shroom knowledge :)
