It was a simple premise based on what we had access too. The majority of the budget went to hiring a MUA and feeding the crew, all around it cost a bit under $1000 to make. Sound wasn't great but we did what we could with what we had.
Fast forward a few years and I've dropped a trailer to my latest short which I pulled out all the stops for. (costing a little under $15,000 to make)

Philosopical Short film of an alien asking the coveted question "Take me to your leader!" as he questions the entire foundation of government authority up to the very last detail! A must-see for philosophers and free-thinkers alike!
I wrote, directed and edited this. I personally have mixed feelings about the result, there are many things I wish I could change about it but I learned a lot, and I think it might be enjoyable to some. A little warning, though, there are depictions of quite brutal violence, so don’t watch if that’s not your thing.
I have experienced three separate psychotic episodes, last one just 5 months prior to shooting this short film. Each of my episodes inspired me to make this, and the subject of the film is drug induced psychosis. Thankfully, unlike in the film, mine ended without any serious outcomes.
I have plans to write similar stories focusing on the extremes of mental health and illness, and am currently working on a feature length script involving psychosis and drug abuse which I hope will get made one day. Ask me anything and please provide me with feedback if you have any! :) I hope you enjoy it for what it is.
If you’d like, I have 2 other short films on my channel with english subtitles. Feel free to check those out as well :)
