Every single day these sneakers get ruined, doesn’t matter what im doing. Even just driving they get ruined. What can I put on them or wash them with or spray them with to PREVENT them from getting dirty. I clean they basically everyday and they still end up dirty.
I go to the gym 3-4 times a week, mainly walking/ running on the treadmill and mat exercises. I also play volleyball when I can on a court. Are Hokas worth it? Every time i research gym shoe they are the first to pop up. I know they have different styles of shoes. Any recommendations for someone who primarily does cardio would be great!
Hi There someone to bought something in this page or store.
Title says it all, I used to be a pretty OK runner (1:42 Philly Half a decade ago) got injured and got away from running. The few times I've tried to get back in I tried the New Balance, Hoka and Puma shoes and it just felt like I couldn't feel the road and running on sand.
I'm looking for a stability shoe (over pronation) with less cushioning.
Thanks!
Hi I’m looking for a new running shoe that can meet some expectations of mine for a running shoe. I’ve been running in the same shoes for over 5 years, yeah I know crazy😅 never thought of it as something important to your run until I started feeling knee pain and my feet would hurt if I took a turn too fast. I don’t run crazy long distances, 5-6 miles a day with sprints inside my run. I just run for boxing conditioning. So what I’m looking for is a shoe that’s comfortable because of my knee pain so nothing that’ll make me feel like I’m running on the floor. Something that’s not too narrow, I got the asics gel kayano 14 and didn’t like how narrow they are for running (love them for training while boxing though). I tried on the asics gel nimbus 26 and liked how when I went on the sides of the shoe it felt cushioned and not so stiff if that makes any sense.
I was going to go ahead and get the gel nimbus 26 but I see a lot of people on here not liking them for faster runs and say how cushiony they are drains your energy. So I want to see what you guys would recommend for a comfortable shoe that isn’t too narrow and responsive for when I want to pick up the pace. I know that was a lot of reading but I look forward to some suggestions thank you!!!
I’m planning to give my girlfriend a pair of shoes, and I’m choosing between the Nike Downshifter 13, Run Swift 3, and Revolution 7. Which one would be better for a beginner in running or someone who enjoys walking?
Out of ASICS - Gel nimbus 26, Quantum 180 and 360 ?
Hi, idk if I’m posting in the right place…suggestions welcome.
Im looking for shoes that are good for being outside in winter (warm, waterproof/resistant, good traction). I started out looking at boots but then realized I don’t rlly need boots most of the time and I like my ankles being free and something lightweight with flexible soles. I saw some winterized versions of sneakers, some companies do make a boot version sort of. I ordered the vans mte and liked how those felt even tho they go up the ankles (could come in handy if there is a bit of snow) and I like that they are a bit cuter for every day wear at work etc, but I’m still not totally wild abt the style.
So I went back to the internet and started seeing trail running shoes. I’m not a runner but am sort of interested in starting to do a bit of running probably on trails. So I was thinking a trail running shoe could fit both needs? But not sure trail running shoes are even waterproof?
I do need new regular running shoes anyway (I like to go to workout classes and sometimes finish weight lifting workouts by sprinting on the treadmill). Interested in Nike Pegasus. Tried brooks whatever the equivalent was and they fit weird.
So anyway now I feel like I actually need 3 or 4 pairs of shoes: road running, trail running, waterproof winter sneakerboot/hiking shoe, a cuter casual winter shoe for work. my original budget was $100. Now I feel like I need to spend like $500. pls help lol. there are too many choices in the internet and I’m tired of wasting time looking for shoes - winter is gonna be over before I find the shoes I need.
Hey all,
Just wondering if there are NB shoe fans who can steer me in the right direction. I wasn’t as blown away as I thought with the 1080. They aren’t as spongy soft and feel much heavier.
Is the cheaper 680 v8 your preference as well? Prices are only $35 apart on sale.
The usage if you are wondering is a slow run, less than 5 km per day. Slow meaning an 8 min/km.
Cheers!
What spikes do you recommend for a high school track athlete who runs the 800m and 1600m? There are currently no spikes (at least not for my events) in store for me to try on. So, I would like some help in deciding what spikes I should purchase. I was thinking about getting the Nike Victory 2 spikes. What are your thoughts on those? What about the New Balance FuelCell SuperComp MDXv3, the Adidas Adizero Ambitions, etc?
Hey everyone, I’m looking for a pair of shoes for everyday use and occasional light running/walking. I’m currently deciding between the ASICS GT-1000 12 and the newer GT-1000 13. The 13 is $25 more—do you think it’s worth the extra cost?
I’m also open to other suggestions if there are similar options that might fit my needs. Let me know what you think!
Hello everyone, I have flat feet and have been running in Asics GT 2000s for the past two years. They're almost worn out, so I'm in the market for a new pair. I usually run between 3 and 6 km, with my longest run being 10 km, but I'm aiming to reach half-marathon distance this year. Looking for recommendations for running shoes with good support for overpronators available in India. Any suggestions?
Arahi to which…
Arahi transition question
Hi everyone, I have historically ran in Hoka Arahi up to 6 but am reluctant to get the Arahi 7. I was originally told I “need” a supportive shoe but have been running for years now and completed numerous marathons etc and never had an issue and think there’s a bit of overhype. I want to train myself to run in faster shoes as I am progressively achieving faster results.
So I have narrowed down to Boston 12, Saucony Endorphin Speed 4 and New Balance Rebel V4 based on my internet research. Annoyingly nowhere near me sells any to try on so I might just buy all and try on at home.
My question is whether any of these are more or less suitable for transitioning away from stability shoe, I will still use the Hoka Gaviota for slow / easy runs these are meant more for my pace runs and race day.
Thanks in advance for any guidance.
Any recos for Running Shoes? Preferably New Balance yung brand. Thanks!
So i’m looking for a new pair of running shoes for my long runs (15-20km’s) … I’ve been using the Nike Invincible 3’s, but after hearing and seeing a couple of “running influencers” using the Novablast 5’s i’m very curious about others their opinion..
Is it really a good shoe or is it overhyped? Is it a right shoe for the longer distances? Is it more of a daily running shoe?
Hi folks, I just seen some photos of me as a baby and can see I was born with sculpted calves that were thick. I recall my mom talking me for walks and I always had very painful calves which I assume was the shoes changing my shape to being more thin and less bulky. It looks weird and a way too small for my thighs and bottom. I don’t like it
I am not happy that toning shoes have left me with slim calves….

Wanting a new pair of women’s tennis shoes for running, pickleball, biking about once or twice a week and then gym sessions for about 3-4 times a week? Any suggestions I am between Nike or HOKA currently but open to other options
Wanting a new pair of women’s shoes for light running probably once a week and going to the gym probably 3-4 times a week. I also do light pickleball and biking weekly? Preferred white or neutral colored?
Hello, people of Reddit! I am a senior in high school who is currently enrolled in the National Project Lead the Way Engineering Program. As a part of our senior course, we are conducting a survey that gauges interest in our problem. We are in the process of tackling wet shoes; specifically, we are looking to stop your shoes and feet from getting wet and/or dry your shoes once they do get wet – this is intended for use while still wearing the shoes, in scenarios like walks or hikes. Please fill out our survey here. Thank you!
