I'm now on Season 4 Episode 13. So spoilers for that if you are still watching.
My last post: Can't look into further without getting spoiled, but is Eren an idiot? :
Thanks for all of your insights! It was great to hear and really fun to chat about!
Wow, a lot has happened since that last post. He successfully infiltrated a foreign nation and did some cool time-skip powered moves. I thought he was finally smart and was enjoying his character a lot more! And now... he's organizing a revolution against Paradis and is clearly begin manipulated by outside forces? I just got to the the reveal about Zeke's spinal fluid being in the wine and the whole revolution scout regimen seized the scouts at the chef restaurant. Eren's sitting there with like an orochimaru-like face with none of the intelligence to back it up trying to be cool and say I just want to talk... PLEASE tell me he gets more intelligent. I mean this guy being an idiot when he was like 12 is one thing but now?? POST-timeskip no less??
Also wtf Sasha was LITERALLY MY FAVORITE CHARACTER why did they do this to her I'm so mad (which I guess means it was good writing). There were times that this show felt like it suddenly became a WWII retelling, glad its straying in a different direction now that was rough.
As far as I'm aware nobody even found out about Keith's sacrifice. And all the soldiers that saw him died in the explosion.
So what does he mean by "they will call you a hero"?
"Paradis" (pronounced "para-dee"/ "parody") is literally a "parody" of humanity!
Humanity is supposed to be free, connected to each other, working together to explore the world.
The Walled Society is a sham civilization, a parody of humanity. They are not free, they're disconnected from the real world, most nations don't want to work with them, etc.
Bravo Vince-iyama Sensei!
For me it was when Eren hit his head training with the ODM that I saw steam coming out in the next scene. Also when he was telling the cadets about the armored and colassol it showed reiner and bertodlt listening.
I absolutely love the moment in season 4 episode 6 where the scouts arrive to save Eren and destroy the Marleyan military. Even after being clued in by the scene as they dashed above Pieck and Galliard, hearing the soundtrack return from the jarring and aggressive synthetic music of the Marleyans to the heroic drum beats and familiar orchestral soundtrack that we associate with the scouts and their unyielding resolve gets me every time. I had to stand up from my couch the first time I watched it because of the pure excitement I felt.
Witnessing their updated equipment, uniforms, and character designs one by one as they dismantle the Marleyan's and Eldians in the internment zone is such a moment of conflict durine every rewatch, as I have the full context of the show and much more love for characters like Gabi, Magath, Pieck, and Falco. I have to admit though, on my first viewing I was rooting for the scouts and Eren to wipe out the Marleyan military and the Warriors (not including the candidates) since I just didn't have enough of a connection to them just yet.
Like I said earlier I really enjoy the Scout's action sequences and episode as a whole, and I wanted to hear about what others thought about it. I would love to discuss how you all reacted to these scenes, as well as what other details you love, possible improvements, and other scenes that made you feel just as hyped.
Is ppl saying that the shifters died by the curse after the rumbling as if they didn't payed attention to the last episode (it happens a lot this fandom really is filled with speed watchers)
I can't be the only one thinking this but, is this eye from the episode filmed IRL? aside from the obvious editing of the iris, the whole eye must be filmed with a real camera...right??
Do yall think Eren cared about Reiner? Like, at all? I mean he looks mature enough to know he didn't had many options.. He was going to die if he returned back to marley
Does anyone remember exactly in which episode did armin say that if you can not sacrifice anything you will not change anything? And he was wondering what will he sacrifice
ive researched this multiple times but have never found an answer, how does Eren manage to break out of it after getting hardened?
Well IHMO Annie was the most cruel titan in the whole anime, she never care about her victims, while Berthold and Reyner pass the whole anime internal conflict and suffering from mental illness because what they did. Not only that, reyner just had his redemption when change side to fight agains Eren, but even after that he suffered a lot.
From another side we have Levi, the most human from the guards, loyal and always trying to protect the one he loves, finished broken, blind from ome eye and without a leg and all of the old comrades dead, many of them cruelty killed by Annie in her first appearance. Completely incapable to take care of himself, with inly memories of the ones he loves.
Annie the only moment that her really felt somethimg was whem she thought that her will never see her dad again, but never care about the lives she took, hasn't any kind of lost, mental illness or anything.... Just a pure happy ending. Completely undeserved...
This has been addressed before I’m sure. So Titan life span is 13 years right? So Eren gets Warhammer does he get 13 more years, and hence Zeke eat Eren and his 3 titans does he get 13 more?
