I currently drive for UPS. I've been here two month struggling on the bottom of the board working 1-2 days a week, sometimes no days a week. Thinking about making the switch to sheetz if I can. I used to work in the LTL field for two years so I have all of my endorsements. Tried for sheets a while ago and was turned down but now that I've got over two years of experience I was thinking about trying again.
I know UPS is a great job but you have to struggle for 4 years to make a little more than what sheetz is making. I know starting pay is like $40 not sure what top out is. Making $23/hr right now at UPS like I said working on a couple days a week which will probably go on for 2-4 years. Just wondering if it would be worth it to make jump or stick it out where I'm at. Thoughts?
Noticed they always seem to have a yard jockey position posted online for Claysburg. Anyone know the pay scale for it?
Has anyone had any bad interactions or been charged with a crime that you shouldn’t have been at the Sheetz in Indiana pa? Specifically where they say the security guard called the police about you; or they use that same security guard as your witness? I know of 5 current cases with the same security guard at the same Sheetz who were prosecuted for a crime they did not commit.
The guard is in court regularly as a witness; so much so judge told him he could stay and “hangout” with the judge and cops after the preliminary hearing ended. My lawyer said it wasn’t a big deal that the only witness and probable cause in my case, was asked to hangout after.
I used to always get a fries platter and since they changed the way you order them, they can’t be edited. I just want cheese and bacon, I don’t want anything else. Why did they make it so you can’t edit it? Or am I just missing something?
From the ready-to-go options.. has it been discontinued?
There are zero healthy options. Please expand your menu.
Has anyone been able to reverse engineer the Sheetz Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce. I’m devastated that they got rid of it as it was the best sauce ever.. I honestly don’t see myself going to Sheetz for food anymore because that was the only thing that I looked forward to from there.
That is all
example: today is 11/5, RTE items that say best if enjoyed by 11/5 should be pulled BY the 5th no? obviously enjoy thru would stay until midnight
Travis sheetz and sharing profits again this year to employees. Bonuses ranging from 150$ to 1600$!! Depending on how many hours worked and when you were hired, just check on bob.com
I like my appreciation shown through physical coupons.
I had a customer that was allergic to salt yesterday.
So we had our QA inspection today and they came at the worst time ever it was during AHOD. I'm just curious if they ever have them come during slower times, it was so chaotic. Plus it's extremely stressful when your already stressed as hell.
i should have been offered the supervisor position that was being freed up instead of them immediately hiring someone externally with no prior experience with this company. it's very frustrating because this person was hired alarmingly fast, like management (aside from sm ofc) was shocked at how fast. nobody even knew they were hired until i brought up my interest in promoting after 2.5 years with that store acting as a "team lead" (obv not a position anymore, so just in sentiment atp) and my sm said it. what came out of that was talking w my dm and being put into the step-up program, which i've enjoyed engaging in, but still. the absolute worst part is management is very frustrated with him making up his own rules, silencing and missing temps twice in one day, and trying to fight people (from verbally with employees to physically with customers, no bs). i have literally been tasked with checking compliance manager if he gets to them before me to make sure temps got completed because of all of this. it's at the point now where my hm who is going on vacation has asked me to text them if that new hire supervisor does something stupid and my days off that have been consistent my whole time there were switched (to 2 days that aren't in a row which i really don't enjoy, having them in a row is important for me to recharge especially lately being caught up in all of this) for the extensive time my hm is off without even being asked if that was okay because my sm is worried the store would burn down if i wasn't there to babysit him when the other supervisor on my shift isn't.
this has been increasingly frustrating to the point where i'm considering seeking out a supervisor at a different store, which is painful because i love my store and team so much. would you do that in this situation? is my frustration warranted, or am i being too harsh?
thank you for listening to my rant. i'm stressed :')
I’m trying to figure out what the day to day would be like as a trainer at a training store. Pay, hours, amount of days and how much time would be actually spent training new employees and how much would be other paperwork type stuff. I loved my trainer when I first started and have always thought about it as something I could do just not very familiar with it. TIA
hey so i had a quick question that i can’t find the answer to on bob, does sheetz provide any sort of assistance for people who have been evicted or had to leave their homes?
Employee coupon for food, none of my team knows but what count up to does the free food coupon cover for the nuggets? 8-12-20-40 if you know please lmk. Got a coupon but don't want to order it and not be able to use it and they have to them waste the nuggets after.
So $2 off a single can per checkout until the end of December? Or a one time use code?
Maybe this is standard practice - but after working a 13+ hour shift, this was nice to get.
Sheetz coming through for the working class again, lol.
Did anyone else notice that last night after midnight(10/31-11/1) the offer in the app was BOGO Breakfast sandwiches all November(limit one per day)and it changed this afternoon(11/1) to buy 4 get one free??? I was stoked for once a day BOGO on this but buy 4 get one 1 is just not that great of a deal. This is disappointing!
I was hired as a third-shift supervisor in mid to late August. After 2.5 weeks of training, during my first full week at the store, I misread the schedule. I thought I was scheduled from 10 PM to 8:30 AM, but it was actually 8 PM to 4:30 AM for the first two days. After that, my schedule switched to 10 PM to 8:30 AM permanently. I was docked points for arriving late those first two days. Then, I was asked to fix my hair twice because it had fallen out of my bun under my hat, as I have long hair. A week later, I was asked to fill out a report for insubordination due to an alleged refusal to fix my hair. Even though I immediately fixed my hair upon request. Then, on Friday, I received a call informing me that I was being let go.
Edit: forgot to mention this in the original post I’m not trying to gloss over this or cut out parts of the story I just genuinely forgot to mention it and also I was expressly told by the training manager that my new permanent schedule for “next week” was 10 pm to 8:30 am but it was actually 8 pm to 4:30 am for the first two days and then the last three of that week were 10 pm to 8:30 am
But, The day before I had to fill out the disciplinary report my store manager took me into her office and yelled at me for 20 minutes off the clock about being late and about my hair and how I lied to 2 other members of upper management about allegedly telling them that my store manager gave me permission to wear my hair down later that day I had called the other two managers to clarify if I did say that to them because I had no memory of ever talking to them about my hair and they both agreed with me that we never had a conversation about my hair then the next day she had me come in and yelled at me a second time for going behind her back and “chewing out” two managers then had me fill out the disciplinary report
Back in ~2020-2022 there was a drink called a 'Bull Rider'. I for the life of me can't remember if it was a milkshake or a smoothie, it was just before I started working at Sheetz, and my managers don't remember it at all. It's driving me bonkers.
i just looked to see if i had enough pointz to redeem the $2 off any mto item (pretty sure thats what it was) and it was gone. im pretty bummed since i am an employee, so i get 50% off already, and it would make a lot of the food extremely cheap if not free. maybe it was just so good of an offer, that it was losing them money? does anyone still have the offer?
