“I’ll be a customer, but not an investor.”

Bro, no you fkn won’t. The vast majority of things pitched are pieces of plastic crap or useless consumable garbage.

Robert's Ego

This seems to be unique feature of robert, not saying other sharks don't have it but Robert is the only one who goes out as soon as somebody asks for either what his strategy is or what he brings to the table of a respective business, saw it happen with cousin's maine lobster and also with LARQ bottles, in both these cases the sharks who were fighting with him for a deal did not hesistate, like barbara for example told them exactly what she will do and for LARQ lori and kevin did not mind advisory shares, Mark on many cases even without the contestant asking reveals what he does , do you agree with this analysis

A social media tik tok like reel app where all cooks and chefs can show off but also works as a private chef directory where you can book the cooks and see their menus and calendars.

“The Sharks must accept the full offer….of they walk away with nothing.”

Can someone explain this to me? The sharks almost NEVER accept the full offer so what does the show mean when it says that.

Is Electra really going to relaunch or is it out of business Now

Electra, the energy drink featured on Shark Tank, has had no updates on X since 2021 and Instagram since May 2023. Also, Electra’s website (the only place Electra was sold lately) is not selling anything. Even though its website says that the product will relaunch, there is no advertising campaign either. The founder of Electra appeared in Shark Tank in season 12, and she was going to invade the energy drink world according to her pitch. Former WNBA player, Fran Harris was able to finalize a deal with Barbara. So what happened to Electra is a problem?

Looking for an episode where a shank looked to sue the pitcher because of the company name

Hi, I'm not sure if I remember this correctly, but I remember seeing an episode of Shark Tank(or any similar shows?) where one o the sharks immediately said that he is out because the pitcher used the same name of his company as the shark. I think the shark was looking to sue him. Could be wrong tho!

Thanks!

I am new here

Hey everyone, does anyone know reliably if the sharks still charge you 3-5% equity just to be considered for the sharks? I’ve heard two different answers from past contestants. Any information is appreciated. *sorry if this has already been asked

Scrub Daddy Made More In Sales Than All Of Lori's Products Combined Before She Joined Shark Tank

In the old seasons in the Shark Tank Intro it would mention how Lori grossed over $500 million in sales with 100 products.

Aaron (the CEO of Scrub Daddy) has a net worth of $100 million and Scrub Daddy has grossed nearly $1 billion in sales.

This man was fired from his job the day his daughter was born, but soon after, he built an award-winning business

Robbie Cabral was laid off from his former job In 2014, and on the same day, his daughter was born. After years of struggles, he built his innovative business, Benjilock, which won the top small business in the nation by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in 2023. After Robbie was fired from his former job, he poured his life savings, $80,000, into his innovative idea, Benjilock. Benji lock was a fingerprint-enabled padlock. Soon after, he presented his idea to the shark tank in 2015, which was the moment of his life. Not only was he able to secure a deal with Kevin, but his story was also introduced as the “ideal American Dream” story by millionaire Shark Kevin himself.

Do you remember Drainwig? After doing $14.2M in sales, they only received $800k as equity shares from infomercials. Are infomercial companies that greedy?

Jennifer and Gifford, after making $14.2m in sales in their newly invented product, have only received $800k as equity shares from their infomercial company. After inventing a new solution for Drain clogging that only cost $1.20 to make and can sell for $9.99, they decided to go with an infomercial company to distribute their product. When an infomercial company is sucking up their money, their only hope was to pitch their idea to a shark tank. During the Shark Tank, not only founders but also Sharks thought the deal Drainwig had with the infomercial company was horrible. Luckily for them, Drainwig received a deal from royalty king Kevin O’Leary.

What are some bad business lessons that the Sharks sometimes teach us?

The one that comes to mind is that a shark, usually Daymond makes an offer which is not super attractive, and pressures the contestant to accept. If he does not in a few seconds, he goes out and shames the contestant saying "he was not decisive enough". That is a bad business lesson. Take a reasonable amount of time to think about an offer, don't just jump at something.

Is there any accompanying youtube, blog, etc going over companies on shark tank?

I know there is a link in the sidebar to products that came from shark tank, but I rewatched through house years ago with this excellent blog - http://politedissent.com/house_pd.html that goes over the medical accuracy of each episode. It was an excellent thing to read along with it.

I just started watching shark tank, I've never seen it before but even in the first season they take on a lot of investments, and I'd love to know what happens to every one of those, in summary, and I imagine someone has been putting that together for years. Is anyone familiar with any material like that?
