RV repair recommendations.

I am somewhat new to the area and need some repairs on my RV. I previously went to Sonny's in Port Hadlock but they closed. Google lists a couple of service centers but I have more trust in local people. Looking for any advice.

Thank you in advance.

Safeway check out slow

Anyone know why it is cash or pay with tap for items at Safeway? All lines are full and people going along slowly. I assume something with their network as the lights are on. Odd. I will be patient.

Snow plowing

Our small HOA is looking for a snow plow service to handle the streets in the neighborhood in East PA. Somewhere between 1/2 to 3/4 mile of pavement.

Any recommendations would be helpful. Thanks

Is there a startup and angel investing community in the Olympic Peninsula?

My wife and I have built a software service startup in our spare time and would love to make this business a going concern, quit our day jobs, and move to the Olympic peninsula. We go bicycling in the Port Townsend, Sequim and Port Angeles area every year and have fallen in love with the place.

Is there any startup or angel investing community we could engage with in the region? If we could find support in the region maybe we could accelerate our timeline for moving out there. I understand that the peninsula would have a smaller startup community than the Seattle region where we live now. Still, it would be great if there was some kind of startup community in the peninsula.

By the way, our startup is a service to manage inventory across multiple stores for sellers. My wife was frustrated with the inventory management tools available for her business selling apparel on eBay and other web sites so we built our own. Since we launched in February close to 600 people have registered and we have about 30 active daily users.

Life in Sequim?

My wife and I had recently passed through and were both interested in moving too from our home in Alaska.

Curious about the availability for jobs and everyday living in general.

Cost of living is much much higher where we are from so that is a concern but not a concern we aren't used too. Both about in our 30's and are very quiet people but do enjoy events for the public and such. We got 2 dogs we love more than people and we both love outdoors.

Also curious of the hunting and fishing, river and ocean and wether it would be worth bringing my boat.

Phone calls over emails/website

Anyone frustrated that many businesses only seem to have a phone number to call and not an email or way to schedule online instead of back and forth with voicemail?

Look for aurora tonight! (Thursday 10/10)

I am getting reports from east coast friends that aurora are visible as far south as Washington DC. So if it is not cloudy, we should see them here tonight, so go out and look north!

Hiring folks to make wooden jigsaw puzzles in Port Townsend

This job is an artisanal manufacturing job over in Port Townsend, but you can work 4 10-hour days to minimize commuting time if you want. We make fancy artsy wooden jigsaw puzzles using laser-cutters. No previous laser-cutting experience is necessary. Must have excellent "arts-and-crafts" abilities and attention to detail, and we need people who are smart, responsible, flexible, and able to self-manage. College degrees (any field) appreciated, but not required. Must be able to carry 40 pounds up stairs a couple of times a day. Pay starts at $18/hr with raises as you train-up. Key benefits are 100% free, platinum PPO health insurance for the employee (if you need health insurance for family members, you got to pay for that yourself), and flexible scheduling that you control. If it sounds like a good fit, email a resume to people@artifactpuzzles.com and tell us about your arts-and-crafts talents.

How I-2117 Could Hurt Sequim

Vote NO on I-2117. Funding for the $30.5 million Sequim area safety corridor project is at risk.

"Funds for the U.S. 101 East Sequim Road Project are housed in the state’s Move Ahead Washington grant program and funded by the Climate Commitment Act (CCA), which would be repealed if Initiative 2117 is passed in the Nov. 5 General Election."

Coworking in Sequim?

I'm visiting the area and need a coworking space for about a half day in a few weeks. I have reached out to Locally Known and haven't heard back. Does anyone have tips for a quiet place with wifi where I could be on a call for a few hours?

Sequim Sound Bath!

Hello sunny Sequim! We have one more of these before a little break, come check it out! If you've ever laid back with a Pink Floyd album, you have a good idea of what we do in a sound bath. This music is intuitively curated to help you have an internal journey. No matter what you will leave with less stress and more peace

Lay back and let a world of instruments; didgeridoo, handpan, gong, singing bowls, flute, drums and more take you on a journey.

Stress relief and lowered inflammation, is documented from the vibration of these instruments. What else might you find in the music and it’s meditative state? Deep and profound experience are very likely as brainwaves harmonize with sound waves, come home to the home inside!

Moving out that way in the next 2 to 3 months. I'm looking for the guitar wizard of the area.

I am very into Paul Gilbert style guitar and I am hoping that there's somebody out there that gives in person lessons. I've been playing off and on for years and classify myself as a mid-level player. I'd like to take it to the next level. I'm very interested and increasing my alternate picking speed and Theory knowledge. I'm familiar with scales notes and chords, but I'd like to be able to mix and match them better. Is there anyone out there that offers this kind of guitar training?

Liberals looking to move to Sequim

My husband and I are expecting our first baby and looking to settle down after traveling in an rv the past few years.

We love everything about this area, and found a house we would die for, but are leaving Texas to live in a blue state. From what I have gathered, Sequim seems to lean more red and is majority religious - which we are not.

I am an artist and educator and my husband is a designer and an immigrant, and we are trying to see if this is a place we will find friendships and feel a sense of belonging to raise a family

Opinions

If one were to build a home a little under a half mile at 146 feet elevation off of Discovery Bay, would you feel secure from a tsunami?
