I recently played X-Men vs Street Fighter on my Fenrir. It froze at the first match, but the second attempt was flawless up until the end of the arcade route. Now the game always boots up with the japanese error message mentioning the ram cart despite the Pseudo Saturn cart already inserted into the console.

When I went to check the files on my SD card to compare it to those found online, I noticed that mine has "1M" next to X-Men Vs Street Fighter, while those online have "2M" and "3M". Does anyone know what they mean? Do they have anything to do with the ram cart functionality?

Hi all I've bought the cart without a SD card.

I've added the firmware as described and structured on martinx72's git to a 64gb SD, So I'm assuming that's it apart from adding roms?

First off is there any rom packs around that are setup to just drop and go?

Is there any homebrew that's worth a look and finally I've haven't looked at the config yet but is there anything I need to look out for?

After years of the Saturn being on my purchase list, I finally got one (North American region) and want to jump deep into it's amazing library. I want to find the best way to play NTSC-J games without an ODE as I want to collect and play the physical discs. I think that will lead me down a type of Action Replay cart. What is the best one recommended by the community that will not only allow region free discs to be played but also plays backups to be able to play fan translations for example. Thanks in advance!

I'm almost biting the bullet with this cart in AliExpress.

I saw that there are two models and I understand that the "normal" one has some refurbished chips and the "elite" one has all new ones.

The price difference is not that big but, considering taxes, it's going to be a lot more.

Is really that necessary to buy an elite one or a normal one will work just fine?

I have never owned a Sega Saturn. I went from Genesis to Dreamcast as a kid. But I've always wanted to play Nights! So I snagged a Saturn.

All of my old consoles are modded or I use everdrives. I hate the used game market right now, and I do not want to be gauged.

I had thought the 4-in-1 cartridges were pseudo everdrives, but I guess it isn't?

Kinda lost on how to use my Saturn game collection on my original console. Is the Saturn a physical mod system?

I just updated my saroo earlier and it's ok except for this. The words are cutting off on the screen. Does anyone know how to adjust the screen size?

4. Game classification

　: Add categories in the configuration file:

6. Key mode in the CDPlayer interface

7. Game compatibility has been improved

My PAL saturn has died in a few places and it's infeasible to fix it. I was looking for the best way to be able to play PAL and NTSC games, and have seen that you can get a 50/60hz switch on your console.

I just wanted to know if it's possible to install this on a Japanese unit, as all the mods I've seen discussed online or for sale have been a PAL model with it installed.

It's much cheaper to get a Japanese model and I think they look way cooler than the Western models, so I was hoping to snag one and get the mod done so I can play my PAL and NTSC physical copies on the one console. Thanks!

edit: I'm aware I can play any region games with an action replay cartridge. I have one. But I want to be able to play my PAL optimised games on the same console, if possible.

I've just received my Saroo and I've confirmed it works. I got it to work with one of my backups (Daytona). For nearly every other Saturn backup i'm getting the "Game Booting" problem where it hangs. I understand this is due to the backups of my games being in a Bin/Cue format where there is only a single Bin. I'd like to redo my collection with all the "tracks" as seperate bin files but haven't figured out how. My previous rips were done using ImgBurn, which worked great with my FenRir set up.

Setting aside the answer "Just download from the internet", what successful method have you used to get a good working backup of your games for the Saroo?

For anyone wondering why I bought a Saroo if I had FenRir. I had problems getting games to work that need the memory extensions. Also a few games dont work in FenRir, so i'm hoping those might also work in Saroo and get a best of both worlds.
