RMT suggestion?
it's my Dad's birthday and he's in his 70's and never had a massage.
he's done manual labour his entire life and I want to get him a massage because his body needs it.
does anyone know a gentle rmt who is kind and can help him feel comfortable?
he's been going through a lot and could really benefit from this.
and no, this isn't a happy ending kind of search whatsoever
Heard that you should be able to see em pretty well tonight.
Yall we seriously need a Walmart asap!! I know all the retired people petitioned to not have walmart here a couple years ago but this is ridiculous. They claim it will take away from small businesses but we have mcdonald’s, starbucks, tim hortons, wendy’s, subway, lordco, home hardware, bc cannabis, bc liquor store, london drugs, shoppers drug mart, kaltire ect.
I’m tired for paying $7 for a block of cheese from a grocery store that closes at 6pm. The options for work are so slim out here because everything closes at 6pm and god forbid you have to get tylenol for your kid at 9pm, good luck finding some!
Idk sorry for the rant it’s just annoying because if we have to grab school supplies, clothes, skincare, makeup, christmas stuff, cheap things a dollarama would have ect we have to take a ferry. I honestly think this town severely needs a walmart for adults, youth and children 😭😭😭
EDIT: I understand the “walmart effect” but even super store honestly anything!!! It doesn’t take more money to transport things here as anywhere else like powell river so we shouldn’t be paying prices significantly higher than the city (van). Honestly you could probably find the home depot effect, starbucks effect or McDonald’s effect if you looked.
I'm Filipino and I'm looking for someone who I can play table tennis here in Sechelt, BC
I will be moving to Sechelt very soon. I'm hoping to find activity groups to connect with, If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. I enjoy being social in an active setting, so I'm hoping to find something here.
A bit about me, 37 male, fairly athletic and outdoorsy. I'm hoping to find a Gravel or Road cycling group, willing to get into MTB. I see that there's a fairly active trail running group I'm planning tol check out. I would appreciate other recommendations, thank you in advance

Hi,
Hoping for any information about tips to get a new family doctor or np on the coast. My elderly relative had her doctor move away and needs a supportive care environment as she’s not comfortable advocating for herself. We’ve signed up on health link.
Any new offices opening up?

Hi everyone! I have a day to spend in the Sunshine Coast before catching a ferry to Vancouver. Don’t think I have time to go North so around Sechelt or Gibsons. I will be alone so trying to think of things to do. Any ideas for a good day? I know it will be weather dependent.
Just went to the new legion today for Canada day and I have to say it is pretty great! Way better than 44 or lighty. Will come back for sure!!
Hi there,
I’m moving to the area for about 2 months with my partner who is a travel nurse and recently accepted a contract in sechelt.
Looking to connect and find some groups to join. Anyone know of any running or hiking groups or know of any group gym studios ?
Thank you
Hi there, long shot here- we stayed in Sechelt last night and left a bag small bag there by accident.
We’re now over in Powell River and I wanted to see if anyone would be taking the ferry over here this evening or tomorrow (May 5th) and would be willing to help us by bringing the bag over?
Let me know if a possibility, happy to cover gas cost or come up with a fair price.
Thanks in advance, Matt
My wife and I are up here in Sechelt for a few months, helping her mom with general yard and house needs.
Looking for a day labourer for some yard work either today or tomorrow. I know, late notice.
We’re new to the area and I don’t know where to start looking.
Help?
Both of my parents are in their eighties and live out here on the Coast. I'm looking for suggestions for social activities for them as they don't get out much as of late. They both have mobility issues as they're in their eighties but can do low-key walks and they have a small dog. Any suggestions appreciated!
Anyone know if someone is offering a non RMT massage with extras?
I’m looking to potentially move to the Sunshine Coast! I found a place in between Sechelt and Robert’s creek, and just have a few questions before making a decision. It is a short term rental, so I want to make sure it won’t be near impossible to find another within a few months. Jobs - I’d be looking to get a part time serving job. Is it difficult to get jobs out here? I’d be willing to travel up to 30 mins for work (I have a car). Cost of living - I just moved to Kelowna from Ontario and prices are definately more expensive here lol. Is Sunshine Coast similar to Kelowna or should I expect it to be more costly? (Specifically groceries) Community - what’s the community like out here? I’m in my mid 20s and would love to connect with like minded people (spiritual, creative, nature enthusiasts) Any feedback would be appreciated 🫶🏼
Gonna be visiting over the course of a weekend in February and looking to go out to dinner. Where's your favorite places to eat? Thanks:)
Visiting in a few weeks. Wondering what activities my daughter can do indoors, she is 4.
Thanks!
