I live/work fairly close to the Life Time near Mayo & Scottsdale Rd. For people who are members here (or have been in the past), is it “worth” the price in your opinion? What are the pros and cons? When/how often is it crowded?

I currently work out at the EōS across the street from here and it is frustratingly busy at all hours and pretty gross if I’m being honest.

My community stopped recycling several years ago. I had been dropping off my recycling since then but over the past year, every drop off site has either stopped taking items from the general public or has shut down altogether.

I’m looking to rent a 12 passenger van for a long weekend in December.

With past experience trying to rent higher passenger vehicles, these are notoriously hard to rent/find. Any company will take my reservation but not actually follow through with it when the time comes. A few companies come up but none have reviews, some don’t even have local area codes for their phone numbers. I’m just trying not to get scammed or be SOL. Does anyone have any experience with renting a 12 passenger in Phoenix/Scottsdale from a reputable place? Thanks!

Was driving Northbound on Scottsdale right by Fashion Square this morning. When passing where Modern Market used to be I saw that they’re opening a Qdoba in that spot.

They used to have a big presence in the Valley and although they don’t have anything on the authentic joints around town, it’s nice to see them back in Scottsdale.

I just moved to south Scottsdale and desperately need to get my eyebrows done and a haircut. When I just searched for a place to get a wax & tint there were SO many results, does anyone have a reccomendation for (1) an eyebrow place and (2) a hair stylist in the area? Over my birthday weekend, I stayed at the W hotel in Scottsdale and inadvertently left my wallet in the room. After promptly reporting the issue, the hotel located my wallet, but I was charged $100 for shipping and discovered $700 was stolen by housekeeping and security personnel. The hotel's management, staff, and security's handling of this matter was profoundly disappointing.

I'm from Toronto, Canada and interviewing for a company based off of Scottsdale. They will require me to relocate before joining and that's giving me jitters, specially the move is across the country. I would be an eternally greatful to this community if I get enough information to make an informed decision whether to move ahead with an offer or not. Few of my questions as follows:

1. How's the housing market? Both renting & buying.
2. What part of Scottsdale or around Scottsdale better suited for a young family with a young kid?
3. How's schooling in the area and any ranking preferences for school districts?
4. From where I will be moving, weather will be a drastic change. Is that something people get used to easily? Specially those who moved from East Coast.
5. If it would be you who will be starting your life from scratch in Scottsdale, what would you do differently from your learnings living in the area?

7. Is Chandler a good area for living and how is the commute between Chandler and Scottsdale?

Just one last point, It's very very surprising that none of the responses compared tax brackets between Ontario and Arizona. My takehome post tax in Ontario compared to Arizona will be way different and that was one of the reasons I am factoring in while negotiating my salary here. Please comment on this topic, especially any moved from Toronto to Arizona.

Hey, moved to N Scottsdale last year and am interested in connecting with other inspiring entrepreneurs who are actively building/scaling a company with considerable revenue (or potential).
