I find communication to be fascinating

I was wondering the other day why it takes so long for humans to learn a language after birth compared to other animals. It’s also a bit disheartening that, even then, we often struggle to communicate effectively, leading to frequent misunderstandings. This may be obvious to some, but innovations in communication could truly elevate humanity to the next level. Thoughts?

I'm doing a rocket design to go to Haumea for class for extra credit, and I didn't know how realistic it was so I wanted to ask people who actually might know if it's realistic or not! So if it's not realistic I would like some feedback to make it more realistic! Ty! 😊

What are some unique experiments I could film? Something like Cymatics but a little less known if possible.

Hi I'm a videographer and super interested in mixing science and art, I think its an amazing idea. Cymatic's is the most known one example I can think of. I have seen loads of videos on it. My favourite is this one https://youtu.be/Q3oItpVa9fs?si=mhQtHit678a8CTXj . Take a look at it and you can see how they use interesting and irregular scientific tricks. I know that some of these things are done with matching the frequency of the speakers to the framerate of the camera. I would love to try and do something new though. Something equally as cool as cymatics but a little less known.

I would love to hear your suggestions!

In need of biosphere science fair project ideas

In need of biosphere experiment ideas

I am a college sophomore and am currently in a biosphere class...

The proffessor has assigned a science fair project, meaning we need to do a science fair, perform an experiment, and then present it to judges. We have until November 15 to finalize it as we present it November 18. So, there is a time constraint that hinders what we can and cannot do as an experiment. The experiment has to be biosphere related.

I'll be the first to tell you, science is my least favorite and least comprehended subject. I have been reading online trying to find various experiment ideas, as we need to have a project idea and outline done by Friday (Nov 1).

I have different ideas, but also know that the ideas I have are half thought out because I have a hard time understanding what I am actually trying to discover and applying concepts to explain observations.

So, here I am. Please, anyone, do you have any ideas for a biosphere related science fair project? Links or explanation alongside the idea would also be helpful. I should also mention I have a partner for this project and she feels the same way and is also at a loss.

Something i realized about white holes

I'm not smart but if atoms can turn into radiation can't the opposite happen in which case wouldn't it make sence that a white holes is just a point in space and time where that process is possible for one reason or another

Help I need answers

Me and my brother were wondering how parachutes would work in space. We came upon a question. If we were to build a skyscraper on the moon, and it caught fire but we had a parachute. We jump out. Would we live?
