Which countries in Schengen have approval for travel for person with covaxin vaccination? Have anyone applied recently for visa and what was the outcome ?

I have been in Spain for 2 months but am considering overstaying my 90 day schengen visa and staying for a total of 5 months. I am worried about my overstay being noticed in the airport when I return to the US. It would suck to have to pay a fee, but it would not be the end of the world. I can not, however, afford to be banned from further travel in the schengen area because I hope to attend a French university next year. What do y'all think the chances of getting banned are? If I don't get banned will I be able to get a French Student Visa? Will they see the overstay in my passport and reject me? Thanks.

Hey all…..hoping I can get some clarity regarding this dilemma of mine.

My Schengen visa will expire in early May. Just before it expires, I plan on traveling to Turkey then Armenia. Thing is, to get back to the US later that month, it seems nearly impossible to piece together a flight itinerary which doesn’t involve transiting an airport in the Schengen zone.

Will I get in trouble simply for transiting the airport to get back to the states?

During my coming into my home country (Moldova) I received only a verbal warning at the border control, no documents written or anything of that sort only a verbal warning not to do that in the future. Can I check if I have any sort of ban or need to pay some penalty?

I am wondering because my country (Hungary) currently doesn't allow tourists/visitors from outside of the Schengen zone but everyone is allowed from other Schengen countries. As a result, if I want to sponsor my girlfriend's visa to Europe, she could only enter through another Schengen country.

I live in Romania and I am holding a Romanian residence permit through my marriage with Romanian a citizen. I am a third country citizen, non-european. While I was getting my residence permit I ask the officers that if I can travel Schengen states with my permit, officer said that I can with no issue whatsoever unless I travel with my wife and we can prove our marriage in case they ask us in border or in on boarding. I get similar answers with people in similar situations but they warn me that sometimes airline companies do not let you go to plane.

We trust the immigration office officers more and we plan a holiday in Italy couple of weeks before. We prepare all the required documents and bring with us to airport but airline company declined my entry to flight because I do not have Schengen visa. This all process and situation make us confused because I literally know people travel with similar documents to Schengen countries but more I read I am getting confused because there are other information online said that I cannot. Please advise me if you know if I can travel with Union county issued residence permit through marriage to Schengen area without visa or not.

Hi everyone! I'm in a bit of a confusion at the moment and don't know what to do.

So, I'm an Indian citizen based out of the UK under a Global Talent Visa. I am currently working on applying for a Schengen Visa to visit my friend in Switzerland.

According to the Swiss Embassy's list of documents needed, it says that I (if self employed) would need to get a signed letter from an Accountant/banker/solicitor acknowledging my self assessment, bank statements, etc. as proof of status in the UK. I only received my visa last year and started work as a self employed person in mid April last year. I'm in the process of registering for self employment but I will not be able to file my returns until April this year and then wait for probably another week to receive a signed letter, etc. This makes my timeline super tight.

I started my online application on the TLS website and noticed that there is a category for unemployed people. I am considering selecting that and proceeding with my application. I have read online that if I have sufficient funds in my bank account, they should be okay with it. However, I'm scared that it might affect my application negatively as they might feel that I don't have strong ties tor return. The reason I'm confused is because even though I'm a citizen of India, I'm a resident of the UK and have a work permit there. I'm also married to another Indian citizen who is currently in the UK under a student visa. We are applying for the visa separately.

Does me being a UK resident add value to the application if I say that I'm unemployed? Is it safer to just wait until April and do it the self employed way? I'm really confused and anxious about it.

I have been to the Schengen area once before, approximately 5 years ago.

TLDR: Indian citizen applying for Schengen visa from the UK. Will saying I'm unemployed affect my application negatively even if I show sufficient funds and that I have a UK resident permit?

I overstayed my Schengen visa accidentally (I found out as i was leaving through Sweden) and the authorities there told me i would get a ban or a fine. But, it's been over a month and i have not gotten a follow up. The border guard did not tell me how they would contact me or how i could contact them for info. How do I find out what's up?

I got a type-C multiple entry visa and already took a trip on it.

Can I take another trip on the same visa before the visa expires?

I mean, isn't that what multiple entry means?

Since Brexit I'm struggling to clearly identify the quickest route to obtaining legitimate Spanish residence, or any other EU residence which would also allow unrestricted Spanish movement.

If I obtain Spanish residency, an I still bound by Schengen 90/180 day rules for visiting other EU countries?

Background.

I'm not loaded, not able to drop 1 million into economy, no distant relatives which I could use to leverage, but do have sufficient savings to prove I'm able to support my self.

I would ideally also like to be able to pick up bits of work here and there if possible, but this isn't a requirement, just a preference.

Hello, reddit! I have a question concerning border best practices.

I have been in Poland on a type D research visa since July 2021. My visa expired on 31 December, but because of Covid, all visas have been automatically extended until the 30th day after the suspension of the pandemic state of emergency (presumably far off in the future). I finished what I came here for and I plan to leave Poland in a few weeks. I am however a bit cautious about departure, because I don't want to have to argue with the border guard in another European country about my expired visa that was extended by a Polish law that other Schengen states are not obliged to recognize. Direct flights from Poland to the US (destination and my native country) or through non-Schengen airports (Turkey, Russia....Qatar?) are much more of a hassle and much more expensive.

So, here's my question: Has anybody else had an experience like this, and how did it go at the border? I have not accrued any illegal stay in Europe, but Poland is not offering visa stamps or stickers to indicate the automatic extension, and I know that other Schengen countries are not obliged to follow Polish visa laws, so I am a little stressed at the prospect of of being flagged for overstay. I plan to print out my correspondence with Polish border authorities and information on the Polish visa law to have at the border (unfortunately mostly in Polish), along with my marriage certificate (my wife is Polish). Are border guards in other EU states generally aware of these kinds of blanket extensions, and do they honor the extensions of other countries?

Other context:

• I have already lived in Poland twice on the same kind of visa (dating back to 2010). Lots of travel in Europe, never a day of overstay.
• I am married to a Polish citizen who will be travelling with me.
• USA citizen, no other passports.
• I believe that I still have 90 days of tourist time in the bank if I need it (last left EU as a tourist in May 2021--having spent 3 months in Poland, I returned to the USA to get the visa and come back).

Has anyone else left the EU on a Covid-extended visa? How did it go? I have been contacting the border police for various countries but they typically do not provide clear answers in an email.

Hello everyone, I'm wondering if areas that mandate the European Schengen Area rules (180 days to spend 90 in X country ) track or log you in any way apart from the passport stamps. My friend from the UK is thinking that if he "loses" his passport and applies for a new one, it won't have the entry stamp on it therefore border control won't know if he overstayed the 90days. This will only work if there is no system which logs you electronically. Thanks!

Can a person with a long-term study (Schengen) visa first visit another Schengen country for a few days before entering the final country? I have recently obtained a national D visa for Lithuania. however, my classes will be offered online for a few weeks. So, I was wondering if I could directly go from my home country to for instance Latvia for the time being.
