i've just passed the episode early season 7 where >!Charlie finds out Quinn and the baby are alive, and Olivia is being hella messy, Jake took over VP!< etc. -
I'm kinda tired of Olivia and the continuous back and forth with Fitz. Yes, they have hella chemistry but like they tried x amount of times and>! it didn't work. !<They have a toxic pull towards each other that they need to fully let go of or get together and stay together because over the course of seven seasons, that >!they still havent resolved this shii is kinda wild. !<
Olivia becoming exactly the perfect cunning mix of her parents - i don't even know what to say, i hate how she>! lowkey highkey ended up self-sabotaging!<
Does Olivia have no friends or hobbies outside of her work life? I understand it is extremely demanding, but kinda wild she isn't out here watching movies, reading books, going out with friends, idk even crocheting or at least ordering take out since she can't keep her fridge stocked. I know it's fiction but she has 0 relatability for a main character.
Her >!romance with Huck was!< so strange, more because he was more of a >!mentor and gave the feel of older brother and then the whole torture thing!< was too much, i skipped so many scenes, which is probably how i got through all the seasons so quickly XD
Huck deserves some peace and time with his son.
Abby was awesome, became annoying, was always second guessing her "family" and despite all the horrendous acts, they are all guilty and noone is better than the other, so with all her self-righteousness it just becomes repetitive and boring, also never having Olivia's back fully, or anyone else for a matter of face, maybe it stemmed from >!Olivia drawing the massive wedge between her and David,!< but yeaaah idk can't excuse any of their actions...
I was loving her standing her ground as >!VP!< but at times she was just overbearing.
Melli - they could never make me hate you! except when she had that>! demanding list regarding the divorce!< when you're on Olivia's side,, but like on Melli's side, she definitely deserves it and anything else she wants for what she put up with. she definitely made some questionable choices tho,,
Cyrus - big yikes. kinda sad that he wasn't reunited with her, but happy that >!Michael took over responsibility of Ella tp ensure a better future for her. I loved when Michael was practicing hairstyles for Ella and Cyrus was seemingly so ignorant and kept asking dumb questions of why he was playing with a doll or smt like that. !<
Fitz is eh - idk like he cute arm candy for Olivia, and I absolutely love the scenes with Olivia, but damn, why did you have to cheat, maaaannn, i just cant condone cheating!
!Harrison deserved better.!<
all these characters and the actors that played them have the talent of making you fume with anger at their decisions in life yet know exactly how to draw you back in, gain sympathy for their character, despite all the bs, nonsense and havoc they wrecked. - and have you seated for all of seven seasons
sorry for all the spoiler highlights, wasn't sure how much is appropriate considering the finale came out a while ago in 2018
Is it just me or did anyone else find the whole era where liv, Jake, Quinn, Huck, and David were trying to take B613 down grew old. Im on season 4 where Jake and liv go to jail over it and sorta growing tired of them being brought down over it - but I also have seen a lot of people say that after season 4 the show sorta goes downhill. Also anyone else feel bad for david I feel like he’s always put in a shitty position poor guy
“I KNOW I’m AMAZING” “I’m witty and I’m cute” 😭😭😭
Period, yes! On a rewatch and a bit older and I can’t explain how much I still LOVE Susan!
David fumbled, HARD — they ALL did. She was too much of a gem for the white house. Honestly if the series ended with her as president, that would’ve been a neat bow to put an end to all the corruption during Fitz’s presidency but alas.
That’s it — that’s the post. Just love for Susan/Artemis Pebdani.
If Fitz just talked to people wirh respect 90 percent of his problems would have never happened. So many times Milly would say something logical that made sense and Fitz would basically take it shove it in her face and tell her to fuck off.
Season 6, what’s the obsession w Cyrus and in general stupid dialogues. Also dislike the actor

Now, why is she like this? LOL!
why didn't Mellie change her last name back after the divorce?
The Fitz and Olivia Thread
Ok so I’ve been rewatching and wondering something. I’m not American, I don’t know really well the way election works irl.
When Mellie lost the election, she lost the popular vote, but it was implied that she also lost the electors in California by “winner takes all”, therefore losing the Presidency. So after Frenkie died, we know that the Electoral College was bribed into choosing Mellie over Cyrus. I guess we could call those electors “faithless electors”.
When Fitz consulted David about who’s gonna be the next president after Frenkie died, David says “it can be anyone the electors choose”. But we know it’s not allowed for chosen electors to change their allegiance.
So asuming Peus hadn’t bribed the Electoral College into voting for Mellie, would all of this have happened, as David said “they can choose anyone because this is the first time the president-elect dies before the electoral vote” ? Or would Cyrus have been the next president as the electors voted for who they were chosen to vote.
I'm watching Scandal for the 4th time and every single time I forget how much I cannot stand Abby. Thats all, just needed to get that off m chest lmao
Does this sub allow ranting? Tagged spoiler just in case. It's my first time watching and I don't know anyone who's watching to share my thoughts with. Back to Jake
So he goes and says "my mission is complete" and that's it? Will I continue to watch this show without him? Is that even possible? Why would the writers do this when it's clearly unfair?
PS, I am not negating all the bad things he's done so far. All these people are actually awful.
First watch and I’m at season 3 episode 11 and I really thought they would let go of this terrible relationship by now. From the beginning it felt like something that had to end at a point considering the circumstances but I could understand how it added drama. But over time it just became uncomfortable to watch, the way Fitz forces himself on her Regularly is really gross to me, his abuse of power constantly using his power as the PRESIDENT to force her to see him or do things for him is insane. And it feels shocking she keeps going back to him over and over again. I find Fitz pretty unbearable at this point and I roll my eyes every time they get back together in some way. I’m honestly shocked this wasn’t the standard opinion even back when the show was airing now that we’ve learned more about mellie and why she is the way she is I’d think people’s sympathy would lean towards her by now enough for the relationship to just not be popular enough to continue. Am I missing something 😂
Put me on Stevie wonder, James brown and tammie Terrell. What are you favourite tracks from the track. Mine is Stevie wonder - I Don’t know why
It’s soooo stupid. When Jake says something and she has no answer, she just has that EXTRA expression on her face and kisses him. Does the same w Fitz. And did the same w the Senator guy. She’s soooo all over the place; picks clients on a whim and drops them on a whim. And keeps running back to Fitz but is alll about the chase. In season 3 now and just needed a rant.
So I’m on Season 5 Episode 11. Olivia and the president have just broken up after a sincere try. Meaning Mellie was gone and out the White House, they’re living together, and being a real couple. Yet, after one evening where someone asks her for a recipe, she’s so disgusted by having to engage with a housewife and be a hostess that she breaks up with the president and immediately hooks up with Jake. This all happens after seasons of her saying that her real dream is to be married to the President, have kids and make homemade jam 🤣🤣 Yall what?!? Mam you don’t want to make jam. You love the chaos. You are likely polyamorous (which I fully support but I’m just saying she needs to stop fooling herself). And you make mountains out of molehills. You don’t want Vermont and jam and you likely only had this affair because of the excitement of being with a powerful married man. Like what in the world. After seasons of crying over each other, this is how a legitimate try at a relationship goes 😵💫😵💫😵💫
Lastly, I just want to say that I am really tired of cooking and cleaning being labeled as demeaning or dumb to converse about if it’s coming out of a woman’s mouth. As a woman who graduated from a top 20 college and went on to have a competitive career in commercial property management, I hate that there is this wall between career women and housewives. I enjoy conversation about all sorts of topics. I wouldn’t feel disgusted by someone sharing a recipe. I’m not “too good” to chat about your kids or your house etc. and also I hate that women are immediately labeled as mindless for doing that important work. And let’s be honest, we pat men on the back for talking about the same things we make fun of women for. A man that talks about his kids a lot or cooks for the family would be applauded, but Olivia is disgusted by a woman asking for a recipe. We gotta stop the mean girl feminism, it’s nonsense and I hated the way that storyline played out. Most people aren’t CEO’s and Senators that talk about world politics all day. Olivia and everyone should try to be relatable to more than one type of person. Most people are doing humble work and have simple lives, why make fun of them. Geeze
I’m only on season II so maybe I’ll change my mind. But the first season kinda made her out to be a total villain and she gave up so much for Fitz!! Not only that but she was so sweet and open with Olivia just to find out she’s sleeping w her husband! I would be an absolute DEMON if that were me. Anyway that’s all. Xoxoxo.
I’m watching Scandal for the first time and currently obsessed! I’m just beginning S3, after Mellie leaked to the press that Fitz is having an affair. I don’t really understand why they’re pinning the affair on Jeannine. I understand it’s to take the heat off Olivia but idk how sleeping with your aide looks any better? Wouldn’t it make more sense to deny both as baseless?
Wanted to ask here bc it’s driving me crazy how all the characters are acting like it’s common sense when I really don’t get it. Also, how does Jeannine correlate to the Jake Ballard situation? Soo many questions haha, appreciate any explanations!
So, a couple of weeks ago, there was a post asking which character was the hottest (c/- u/Tasty_Bother6863). The overwhelming answer was Fitz coz duhhhhh. So which season Fitz was the hottest? I'd say S7 as I think Citizen Fitz is gorgeous; I love the longer sideburns and he's in regular everyday clothes. Let's keep it shallow, people.
I just finished the kidnapping episodes. I fast forwarded through most of them. I'm joining the ranks of those who made it to this point + cannot continue. 😆 I cannot fathom how there are three more seasons of this hot mess in a dumpster fire on a train wreck.
Abby is my second favorite character. What do you think of her, the Darby Stanchfield's character?
Bc i cant figure out why shes become or why the writers let her become this extremely insufferable person who becomes selfish and greedy when she wanted to be a white hat at the start like 😭😭😭

Let me know if you have any questions & the link to bid is above!
The way Jake talks to James gave me chills, “you’re not gonna die alone” one of the craziest things I have seen on tv. Ughh and the way Cyrus broke down at the news conference made me want to cry even though he’s a horrible human being a part of him for sure loved James…
at the end of the episode we see fitz and liv discussing how “the oval changes people” and “liv needs to help abby out of it” when none of what abby did was about power. they seem to completely forget that sje was threatened into literally EVERYTHING she did with, first, arrest and then the lives of leo and rosen and then her own. why do they behave as if she were some power-hungry bitch who sold out everyone to get the oval? it was only her motive BEFORE the assassination and everything that followed. and yeah maybe it is explained in later episodes but i’m so pissed off right now lmao
Doing a millionth rewatch of Scandal and when Edison tells Olivia this isn't their 4th date, that he built her a bookcase and that he's watched her press her hair if feels so endearing.
As a Black woman, pressing hair is a task and so connected to African American culture, grandmothers, family time, Saturday night rituals as a child. I can't put my finger on it but for those few seconds they seemed more connected and relatable than any other time they were together.
First time watching!
The end of the episode had me in tears! I love Huck so much, and my heart breaks for him and everything he's been through. I did not need that extra gut punch 😭
