I’m doing my rewatch and Quinn specifically needs a little more attention than “you’re grounded.” No wonder she was easily framed, she aspires to dismember people! Her going to the dark side happened so quickly!
I also think Huck could benefit from a low dose antidepressant. Maybe some breathing exercises. Our boy is paranoid for a reason but those corners have got to be bad for his back. It’s good that he goes to meetings.
Olivia’s closest confidants are Cyrus, wine, and cardio. She would benefit from an unbiased perspective.
Abby could’ve used help navigating her feelings for David her trust issues.
Harrison has a hero complex but so do I sooooo no comment.
Currently rewatching and I’m up to season 4. I loved how close Fitz and Mellie had gotten again. I loved that they were a team and wish they could have found their ways back to each other. Big Jerry realized damaged that relationship bc they seemed to really love each other before what happened, happened. I def felt bad for Mellie but also pitied Fitz for thinking it was him, even before he cheated with Olivia.
Olivia Pope needed that ass beat. I’m currently on season 3 when Mellie asked her to come back to help Fitz run and even though Mellie was the one who asked it’s the fact that she’s so comfortable just fucking someone’s husband 😭😭😭. The way they were all just like “okay” when Cyrus and Mellie walked in on them kissing makes my blood boil because fr Olivia? You don’t have that much self control?? Fitz is to blame as well because I know how it feels when a man won’t let you leave but still if I was Mellie, Olivia and I woulda had to fight 😂😂
Sometimes I like to think that scandal is the fake world of Meredith’s parents because of Alzheimer’s!
Seeing Cyrus in greys just gives you a tiny bit of his life: scandal in my imagination is the world that he lives in after he lost his wife and daughter and disappeared
I also notice all the recycled actors that Shonda Rhimes uses in all her shows like:
Jeff Perry:
Kate Burton:
Paul Adelstein:
Robert Baker:
Liza Weil: -Bonnie Winterbottom - How to get away with murder -Amanda Tanner - scandal
And many many more!!

If you like scandal PLEASE watch “How to get away with murder”
If you like greys anatomy PLEAASSEEE watch “private practice”
I'm on my first Scandal rewatch since the original airing, and even the first time around, I was never the biggest Fitz fan, I think I felt some sympathy for him, but due to me liking Jake better, I think I was never the biggest supporter.
But on rewatch, dear lord I cannot stand the man! How did this man own the hearts of people like Melly, Olivia, Abby even Cyrus?
He is spoiled, entitled, scarily needy and basically a really horrible human being and his behaviour and attitude toward Melly are unbelievable. I grew to almost like him when they became partners after their son's death, and he supported her run for senate, but now seen the Foxtail episodes and was Melly in the wrong, yes of course, but WTAH!
For those who like him, what are his redeeming features? What am I missing?
Fitz is Tris’s dad???!
This is my first rewatch since I was a teenager and wow, Khandi and Joe really look like they could be Kerri’s parents. And they both acted their ass off!
Throughout the first few seasons, fitz uses his kids to take jabs at mellie. He says “mellie doesn’t have a maternal instinct” and I don’t understand it AT ALL. Mellie has been the best mother she could be while being the First Lady. She is alot more in touch with her kids then fitz? She’s a wayy better parent than fitz. An example is fitz doesn’t even read his kids email. I know he’s a busy man but it takes 5 minutes to read a email from his own children. Ik fitz loves all his kids but my god insult you’re wife’s motherhood and parenting is a low jab. Smh
Olivia is working my last nerve! She just acts like she runs it all! Now, all of a sudden she cares about her father’s safety??? Jake was right. She’s so wishy washy ( 😂😂😂 I haven’t even heard that word in a long time). But I’m currently sick of her. Sick of her facial expressions, sick of her thinking she’s in charge! I kind of look forward to someone knocking her down a peg! (Verbally of course)
I have 25 mins left of this episode…. Is anyone going to tell her off??? lol
It shows how old he is but up to date at the same time
I know the purpose of the whole show is Olivia and Fitz' love but sometimes I wonder what could have happened hypothetically if Olivia had gone back to Cyrus on that day and said she couldn't work on the campaign.
It was the first day, the first meet withFitz. They had an encounter, they both felt something. Olivia could have walked away from his life instead she stayed and chaos ensued
Anyway, I'm off to my "one millionth" rewatch 🤣
I really do love the series and I guess I have Olivia to thank for not walking away.
I truly did not like him. At all. He had this air of judgment.
Grilling Olivia about her old lover.
Edison just couldn’t be happy that HE was in Olivia bed NOW
If he found out you know he would wh0re shame Olivia. To brow beat her to settle for his boring a$$
Okay rant over.
lol😂
Joe Morton is the best actor in the show and absolutely owns every scene he’s in.
Now that i have finally concluded the series i just wanna say.......Alot of the chaos could of been avoided if Olivia stayed on that island with Jake! Cause sister girl brought all the drama! Did all that crazy shit to walk away scratch free.
Cyrus got off waaayyyyyyy too easy and Jake deserved to be in jail!! There was a flicker of hope for Jake at one point but he was too easily controlled. Quinn and Charlie match made in heaven. Abby has major issues. I wish Huck found love and Fitz was literally controlled by his penis.......Mellie well she's Mellie!
Papa Pope really only loved Olivia and Mama pope belongs in an insane asylum!
David really didn't deserve to die! Especially not like that!
I say all that to say Shonda really loves herself a monologue! And the series needed an additional episode or 2 to tie it all together.
He's a literal monster! He's crazy, power hungry and evil!
Why do they keep trusting that man? He's problematic, psychotic and though he may be fine......he's untrustworthy and keeps getting placed in positions of power. Whyyyyy?
I am rewatching for the 3rd time. Just finished the entirety series about a month ago so I know all what happens
I just like the earlier seasons where they did the new client thing and bring a “fixer”
This whole command, Jake, kidnapping, even defiance.
Just took over the series… it wasn’t fun anymore. Pope and associates didn’t have fun anymore. They didn’t smile anymore. They didn’t have camaraderie anymore. Their bond, after say, season, three was more of shared trauma… trauma and betrayal of the core group. I just didn’t like the direction of the series further along.
I'm on the episode of Quinn's funeral. Her death was sooooo pointless. Please tell me Huck kills Olivia or something!
S5, how come Abby suddenly wants to be a "big dog" and has so much animosity towards Liv? I mean I don't like Liv either but I dont get where Abby's anger is coming from. It feels abrupt. or maybe it's been building up and i just can't tell? is it just the White House changing her?
I’m on like my third rewatch of scandal and i still love it as much as the first time i watched it. does anyone have any recommendations for similar shows? They have the political side but also the drama/love side. I’ve watched designated survivor (love that show as well) and i tried to get into House of Cards but it didn’t grab my attention like scandal and designated survivor. i really need a new show similar to scandal!
She don't know what or who she wants! I'm at the beginning of season 7 and I wanna jump through the screen and shake her! Ma'am get it together!
I’m almost finished scandal and I can’t lie, s7 Cyrus is not as bad as I was expecting like he was evil but he wasn’t EVIL like setting your husband up to get murdered with a daughter at home is EVIL not staging your own plane hijacking like that just gives Cyrus I was not shocked at all the writers definitely could cooked a little harder I was expecting a crazy conspiracy but not this Cyrus was worse in the previous seasons he’s giving lawful evil instead of chaotic evil and I can’t believe I miss the exact thing that makes me not like him it’s honestly how I feel about the last season it’s just not as crazy as you’d think a scandal season would be but maybe my opinion will change (I have two episodes left I doubt it)
Like liv is a badder bitch as command. I’m on S7E1 and it’s my first watch and I just feel like she’s so much more powerful and confident. The way she turned the tables on her dad and that power walk she did in the beginning with her perfect fit and perfect hair is like chefs kiss😭😭
why has no one talked about Young Sheldon's mom being such a bad girl on this show?? when she first showed up I was like "is... is that Sheldon's MOM??" and then when she used that golf club.... Zoe Perry is INCREDIBLY talented, and I have to see more stuff she's in!
At first I really liked their friendship and thought maybe they'd be cute romantically. But after he literally tortured her, I don't get how she could ever stand to be around him. They eventually go back to being besties and he's even her best man? Like idk if I could ever be alone again with a man who tortured me.
Need someone to do a watch along with me please. Starting on Season 5
Sorry if this isn’t “allowed” here lol. I just watched the scene in S1E1 when Olivia is upset and she and Fitz are meeting in the Oval Office to discuss his affair with Amanda Tanner and her literally trying to kill herself. Fitz literally doesn’t do anything other than basically force himself on Olivia and then when she starts crying about Amanda trying to kill herself he just…kisses her???
When I first watched this show I think I was 13/14 and I thought Fitz and Olivia were like the cutest, hottest couple in the world. Now, 7 years later, that scene actually made me laugh out loud it was so insanely stupid and unrealistic I can’t believe it was even made. So many of their scenes are just beyond unrealistic and cringey I can’t believe I ever took their relationship seriously. Anyway, just wanted to share in case anyone shares this opinion.
Is it ever brought up how Liv could’ve forced Mellie to resign and chose not to?? Everyone’s talking about how she was “forced to quit”, Mellie is acting so high and mighty like she allowed Liv to resign as if Liv wasn’t the one who gave her grace by not forcing Mellie out. I’m so confused the way it just hasn’t been brought up.
I used to love Olivia in the beginning, but I feel after she lived in the white house with Fitz and realized she didn’t have the power to run it, she just turned into this nasty power hungry person. Everytime I see her in season 6 & 7 she just makes me cringe. She became everything she hated about her parents. She treats all the people who were there for her through everything like garbage (her friends/coworkers, Fitz, Jake) she only cares about power. Now that Mellies in the white house she’s controlling her just like the assassins who tried to take over were. I just hate her all around.
