I went to the general site for the first time and loved it!! I went during a week day and then a big rush of kids of various ages came in. Can someone explain why š. Iām assuming the school is nearby but it was during the early afternoon. Thank you
Hey all, just wondering where I might find a scenic bike ride in / around town or nearby? Thanks :)
Hi everyone I am looking for any suggestions for a spot to watch the meteor shower Ursid on December 22nd or 23rd. Does anyone know of any particular spots in town that would offer an unobstructed view and allow some type of comfort and solitude as we watch?
Does everyone work in neighboring areas? I live in Durham and love Saxapahaw. Does everyone just commute?

I do know its been raining a lot and that the river park can easily be flooded. But i have a date saturday and we were going to go to the general store then head to the river park. So is it still open? Thanks for helping me and using your time
Hey all, just curious if anyone is still active here as I am moving to the Saxapahaw area soon.
Hold the fuck on I'm too busy panicking!
UPDATE #1
Check your emergency patchouli reserves. Just like water, assume one gallon per person per day.
Subarus do not float. Do not attempt to use your Subaru as a life boat.
Buying a condo where 80% of the walls are glass windows is a foolish thing to do just before hurricane season.
No the General Store is not price gouging on gas because of the hurricane. They just price gouge on gas year round.
I've been looking through WRAL like crazy trying to find the article about the plans to possibly turn the apartments, or at least some of them, into hotel rooms. Has anyone else heard about this??
Put on the patchouli candles as it's time for us all to peacefully assemble and determine which Russian village we'd like to be our sister city! My suggestion is Tobolsk, which is an old village on a river, much like our own Saxapahaw. The population is 99,000, but that's in metric so it's about the same as our 78 people in American numbers.
The only problem with Tobolsk is they are currently twinned with Council Bluffs, Iowa, which means we'll have to threaten the town until they back down. If they do not back down, we will need to physically attack them.
This is so exciting! Let's talk about who's on board for partnering with the motherland and attacking a small Iowan city.
I moved from the top of the hill by the water tower down to the secluded woods of Northern Chatham County.
Even when I was living in Saxapahaw, I was far from having my finger on the pulse of the village.
I mainly created this sub because it didn't exist yet.
So, if anyone wants to be an admin, let me know.
Awesome job!!!
