My friend and I want to join Bayclub Santa Clara. If anyone wants to form a group or have spots available in their membership then please let me know. Thanks!
While perusing through different apartment options I saw that this complex offer gas range stoves, which in my understanding is becoming a rarity.
As such, what is the expected utility cost for 1 bed apartments in this community ? (I understand this might vary person to person but just wanted to a ballpark figure to know what to expect if I move in here).
Also, what are the sources for electricity in this apartment -- SVP ?
Someone mentioned that for gas stove it might be PG&E.
Also, if someone can mention other apartment choices which offer gas ranges that would also be great. Its not a necessity for me, but just wanted to move away from electric coils for a while (I currently have that and I do not like it)
Is anyone experiencing a power outage in SANTA CLARA right now? Birdland area.
Does anyone know why they only allow this skate park for Santa Clara CITY residents? I've never seen a skate park like this, sure you need to pay and sign a waiver to get into Lake Cunningham but at least they're not checking your residence lol...
My GF drives past it to get to and back from work everyday and its nearly always empty. What is the point of having spent so much money to build a skate park and then limit it to the point that nobody is using it? Is there something I'm missing? The closest skate park to me is Campbell Skate park and to be honest that skate park sucks really bad.
Hi everyone, I’m a girl moving to Santa Clara in July and am searching for roommates from July onward, close to the NVIDIA office, as well as apartment recommendations. I’m hoping to get a 2B2B or a 3B3B and my budget is $1600 at maximum (preferably lesser). I would like to be in a more active part of town (not purely residential) and was wondering if anyone had any insight into what I could look into. Thanks!
I will be moving to Santa Clara area soon. I am looking to move in to new apartment on 1st June.
I am looking for apartment recommendations in Santa Clara area.
Reasons for Santa Clara -- closer to office, less electricity bills
The electricity component is what I have understood reading about SVP vs PG&E. However, if you have other opinions (like in practical use, the cost different isnt much for other towns) pls feel free to share.
I am looking for 1bed 1 bath apartments
My preferences:
Other than apartment recommendation, if people have some observations after moving in during recent times, please free to let me know. I will be quite new to the area and moving for my first job, so any kind of help is appreciated.
(Edit) Adding budget which I missed earlier:
Preferably around $ 3000 per month. If there are no options I could try to push my budget up to say $ 3500 per month

Does anybody have any insider info about the progress/status of the Related Santa Clara project? This is a big project next to Levi Stadium where bunch of both commercial and residential real estate is supposed to be built. I know it’s faced numerous delays since Covid and I don’t see any updates on their website.

My team just needs a few more people! Looking for players who know the rules of baseball/softball, can hit the ball well, and knows what to do when they get on base. Please no first timers! There is a hired umpire and some years there’s a score/stat keeper so there is a league fee to join. Message me if you are interested and I’ll give more details! First come first serve!
We live near Levi stadium and xfinity went down at around 10:30am, came back until 2pm, and has been down since. I work from home and I’m sure a lot of other people here do too. Don’t even have an estimated time of it being restored
I have a possible job offer in Santa Clara. Base pay is about 180k and all OT is double time. After the OT income should be around 300k. Is this a livable income for the area to afford a home and just the general high COL you hear about for the area? Thanks in advance!
A former HGTV star has been sentenced to four years in jail and ordered to pay back almost $10 million for defrauding 11 people, Santa Clara County prosecutors said.

Hey, r/santaclara! I'm heading to Santa Clara soon for an internship at a semiconductor company, and I have a quick question about the local work culture, especially concerning cannabis use. Coming from the East Coast, I'm not entirely up to speed with how things work over here.
The hiring manager mentioned that, beyond the background check, there's nothing else I need to do before my start date. So, I'm curious—is it generally understood to be okay to enjoy some recreational cannabis, or is it possible for companies to conduct drug tests upon arrival? I figure if there's no pre-employment screening, then I should be in the clear. Just want to make sure I start on the right foot. I know it's in my best interest to go sober just in case.
Appreciate any insights you locals might have. Thanks a ton! I'm excited to experience the lifestyle over there :)
maybe something that could get me moving, or maybe something that could help me learn a new skill. any help is appreciated, i just want to make friends, that are my age, so 19-20ish :)

Hey folks!
Planning to do some remodeling. Mainly cosmetic. Kitchen: Change cabinets and counter tops, add recessed lighting in ceiling.
Bathroom: Changing tiles, vanity and bathtub in bathrooms. Not moving the plumbing
All the changes are strictly inside interiors and pretty much like for like. GC suggests not worth the hassle for such cosmetic changes. Went to a couple of tiles and cabinet shops and people said that there are some counties like Palo Alto where the inspectors are always on patrol. The moment they see a truck outside the home they start inspecting it and put stop orders. Is that the case in Santa Clara too? $$ isn't a problem for the permits but rather the pushed down time lines. What do Santa clarians suggest for permits for these? Are permits really needed for such cosmetic changes?
i'm moving back to the bay this month and was wondering if I could join anyones bay club membership. It's cheaper with multiple people and I can avoid the initiation fee. For discussion, are there any other nice gyms in the bay similar to equinox?
