I'm very loosely / lightly thinking about talking to a listing agent for our home to see what it might go for. Am curious to hear from this group about local agents who they would recommend (or not recommend).
Can anyone recommend a local dentist who takes COVID seriously, like having HEPA filters turning over the air in their exam rooms?
Where do you all recommend parking near the Caltrain station? Free, all day, on a weekday. Circled around the local neighborhoods but they were all 2hrs only, so hoping any locals had any recommendations they'd be willing to share. Feel free to DM me. Thanks in advance!

What’s the experience living in downtown San Carlos? My partner and I are “downtown” people. Enjoy walking and try new restaurants. Anyone experienced living here? Moving to San Carlos from Sf due to commute. Exploring Trestle apartments, any thoughts?
I moved away from the Peninsula (out of state) about 6 months ago and I'm finding myself craving the blackened marinade tri-tip that I used to buy regularly at Bianchini's. Does anyone know their marinade recipe or have a good approximation?
Who's got the best locally owned ice cream in San Carlos? Thanks for your input!
Judging by the last post, it seems there was a group favorite. However, we'll see if the same holds true in this poll!
Over the next few days, I'll be collecting responses from this post to put into a poll, where we will see what the community's favorite locally-owned ice cream store is. Thanks.
Who's got the best burger in San Carlos? Thanks for your input!
I know Godfather's was a top choice in the choice selection post - I'm going to keep it with San Carlos options for now (abiding by my own rules now lol), but definitely check them out if you like burgers.

Anyone know any good, accessible spots to watch the fireworks this evening? I am taking my dad out and he’s in a wheelchair. Id love to watch fireworks with him. You can PM me instead of commenting if you don’t want to give it out!

Is it just me, or has it been getting oddly windy in the recent evenings?

PG&E is doing what appears to be major work on Howard Avenue, and this has been ongoing for perhaps a couple of weeks or more. Does anyone know the reason behind this work, the expected duration, or if there is any information that residents should be aware of regarding parking or anything else?
I'll start. Being in tech, it's been a dream to live in the Bay Area. I first heard about San Carlos from a coworker during lunch. He said her sister lives in the Bay Area in a city called San Carlos. They just had a baby too, so it sounded family-friendly. When I flew here for on-site interviews (those were the days), I was on the Caltrain and it made a stop at San Carlos station, I couldn't see much from the train and shrugged. When I finally decided to take a job and make the move, both the spouse and I made separate trips to the area and really liked the vibes of SC. There weren't many single family homes for rent but I found a place on the hills and the rest is history. Moved around within the city a bunch but been here over a decade now.
More updates coming soon...

I've noticed that there are more and more biotech companies opening up in San Carlos. What is the reason for this?
