Long ago in a distant land, I, Aku, the shape shifting master of darkness, unleashed an unspeakable evil. But a foolish samurai warrior wielding a magic sword stepped forth to oppose me.
Before the final blow was struck, I tore open a portal in time, and flung him into the future where my evil is law. Now the fool seeks to return to the past and undo the future that is Aku.

I tried watching the show around a year ago but i couldn't handle the pacing. Like there would be half a minute of straight walking and i would try to binge the show back to back but i just got so bored. Now I'm a year older and something hit me.
The show isn't just senseless action like shows nowadays. Each episode has a deep intricate meaning and metaphor or parable if you will and the show isn't just meant to entertain you its meant to give you a new perspective on life. Most kids under the age of 14 will get bored of the slower pacing like i did a year ago when i was 15. Little did i know i was going into the show all wrong
Samurai jack has striking art design that is meant to be appreciated because it takes time to make. hence why they don't just flash images they stay on the screen for a while. when you stop to actually look at it you stop getting stuck on the "ugh how long is this walking scene gonna be" and you can actually appreciate the pacing.
even though i have a newfound appreciation for the show it is still very easy to get burnt out and if you really want to appreciate the show its best to stick to 2-3 episodes a night.
A lot of people (myself a year ago included) get frustrated after realizing it takes jack 5 whole seasons to finish his quest. i was like "ugh how long is it gonna take him to slay aku" but now i realize. if jack slayed aku in one season it would be like "well that was cool" but when you watch jacks village burn and aku constantly trick and torment jack for 5 straight seasons and then you see jack just finally break and that innocent noble pure hearted samurai turns into what jack is in season 5 it is magnificent. its not tedious or stretched out or stalled story telling so they can keep pumping out episodes. Its build up.
Similar to how jack is on a quest for revenge ive found that very relatable. ive for the past year been on a strict bulking plan and long hard powerlifting workout and watching samurai jack and him learning his skills when he is young and no matter what is thrown at him he keeps moving. It really connects with me. Jacks determination. I can certainly say the show has layers. and if you can just keep watching and put your phone down it will pay off. You will start to appreciate how the show as it makes you wait because it always pays off. Delayed gratification. Patience pays off, and with 2 things you can be unstoppable.
Discipline and Determination
Ik i haven’t been the only one to fucking experience this shit the animation style and the sounds are on fuuuuucking point
I believe that Samurai jack is a better and cooler world than adventure time.
Aussie here that just started watching on Prime Video at the start of this week and now they've decided to remove it from there which is obviously very disappointing. Does anyone know where I could continue watching it?
Is it the canon and absolute ending? I need to know if my favourite childhood character has a happy ending...
He's a warrior of righteousness carrying an enchanted sword that only works for banishing evil(and robots), and he summoned the power of the gods to smite evil at least once in that fight against the Ultra-Robots.
So I've always wondered what happened to the Samurai? Aku sends him to the future then Jack kills Aku. So what happened to the Samurai that got sent to the future?
I would rank Samurai Jack in the Top 5 easily next to Avatar: The Last Airbender.
...is definitely Demongo (episode XXIII) right? his, cackle. My god. like nails on a chalkboard to me. stupid laughing lavalamp.
As a die-hard ATLA fan, my response would be "NOOOOOO" similar to Darth Vader.
