We're all about salt, and that includes culinary uses, industrial uses, production of salt, product reviews, and history. Really, nearly anything about salt is going to be fine.

Do you sell salt or work for a company that does?

That's fine, everyone's gotta have a job. But you do need to disclose that in the post or the first comment, and it can't be just flat out SPAM, which, while salty, isn't quite what we're aiming for.

What not to post:

"Secure Automated Lending Technology" SALT - you guys have subs HERE or HERE.

Content about being bitter, or insulted, or indignant about being made fun of e.g. "She's being salty because nobody asked her to come out with us last night. If someone makes or has a sub like that, lmk and I'll post a link.

Red Boat Fish Salt

If you're looking for a very pungent punch, you have to give the Red Boat Fish Salt a try. Red boat makes the best fish sauce in my opinion and this salt is really amazing. Use it sparingly or prepare to eat alone because it's quite fragrant. I'd love to bake wings with this salt. I'm not affiliated in any way. This is just my favorite flavored salt. https://redboatfishsauce.com/collections/shop/products/red-boat-salt?variant=31297865777285

Pounding salt.

I was given as a gift significantly large chunks of pink salt with a flimsy aluminum grate. The size of the chunks is about 1.5 inches by 2 inches. Grating the salt is relatively impossible ( to hold firmly) and once the chunks are smaller it would be impossible to grate. How do I process this salt for use?

The Salt Road

Been reading more and more about Salt and its impact on geoeconomics, and there is so much to it!

Now I'm looking at the Celts. I had no idea they were Salt Miners! They had a network of trade routes, with the Via Salaria or Salt Road, which connected the Celtic salt centers in the Alps (Hallstatt, Hallein-Durrenburg and Reichensall) using overland trade routes to the Italian Peninsula and most importantly...Rome. These routes would have passed through the Alps and connected with Roman roads.

Like other roads (Silk, Spice, Royal or other), On the Via Salaria. they traded in salt, slaves, iron, gold, and furs, wine and other luxury goods.

It blows my mind to think that from those salt mining centers in Austria, they were about to build an empire, develop technology and thrive into a prosperous society.
