hi friends!
so to make a long story short, my manager has been extremely rude towards me lately and i decided that i'm over it so i'm planning on transferring to cosmoprof.
i already called the store near me, she told me they actually Do need another person on the team and she can totally transfer me.
for those who transferred, what was the transferring process like and hows the atmosphere there? how much do you guys make? is it also weekly pay for you or is it still biweekly?

I worked at sallys last year for only a few months, i didn't give a two week notice and walked in and quit one day. I wrote a whole letter and explained why I did it, which they said the appreciated. I only quit because I was offered a better opportunity somewhere in a career path I desired. Fast forward to now, I ended up leaving the job I quit sallys for and am looking to get rehired. I think I have a fair chance because at my location they literally fired a girl for taking time off, then literally rehired her a month later. I was a hard worker who I think they valued., they literally made me a key holder within the first week of me working there. I know they're hiring because one of my old coworkers just said she put in her two weeks.
No the managers werent great, and I didn't really want to go back to the company but I've decided it is for the best and will work with me right now.
What do you think the chances of me being rehired is? I don't have my old managers number anymore, but should I get it and contact her?
Like yeah they have the barcodes on them but the SKUs are so damn small and you basically have to lie on the floor to see the ones on the bottom shelves. Feels like just another unnecessary change that was supposed to make things easier and just made them more annoying.
An employee at my store recommended that color to a customer who had like a 10V base. She came back to the store upset, with the hair dye applied, still. Saying how the girl that was there with us earlier recommended her that hair dye. When I looked at the glob of hair dye applied to her hair, it looked slightly brownish but at the same time like a 7N. I had asked her if she checked the tube to make sure it was the same color as seen on the box. Because we’ve had customers that had switched out tubes from other hair dyed before. I had also told her that maybe once she rinses it off it’ll look lighter. Then she told me “no it’s not gonna lighten look at how dark this is, it looks nothing like the display.” I told her that she should rinse that dye off as soon as she gets home because she shouldn’t be walking around with a hair dye applied for so long on her head. She ended up taking a lighter shade of hair dye with a 30 volume. Has anyone ever dyed their hair using the 9N from ion? Or maybe fill me in on some details on why it might’ve turned that color when she applied it?
My store is cutting all BA’s to 4-6 hour shifts, only full timers can have 8-hours. Anyone else facing this rn? I’m literally scheduled to come in like 5 days for only 16 hours total.

I am a store manager with Cosmoprof the issue with daily pay has not been fixed! This is the time frame I was given.
We got a notification today in Athena that DailyPay was resolved but I still see $0.00 amount and nothing on the app, I’m full time and have been working all week; assuming it will start updating as of tomorrow? Hoping I’m not the only one still seeing zero balance LOL
How does Sally’s give us our w2s? Are they mailed to us or are they made available on the hub? And I know they have to be given out by February 1st, but if it’s available online is there a chance it would be available sooner? I’m looking to do my taxes asap
Also I’m putting in my two weeks notice as soon as I get a formal offer letter in writing (I expect it to probably come this Monday) will that affect the speed of any of this?
The title says it all, but genuinely.
Half the tik toks I see are randoms saying “Never take a sally’s employees advice seriously, I know more then them” and it’s a teenager mad that someone said their hair looked fried. The other half is cosmetologist saying “I can’t believe I saw a sally’s employee recommended 20 volume developer, I don’t think they have never use more then 5 volume at my salon.”
I can’t speak for everyone, but I know that half the time, my advice has been “Hey! I really don’t recommend rubbing straight developer on your hair. I cannot even begin to explain how terrifying that is and I don’t want you to come back and yell at me when it doesn’t turn out platinum.” or “Hey! You are dying your hair black! probably best to stay away from 50 volume developer!”
So hello! I post here a lot because I have a lot of questions 😭
But actually I remembered one.
I have been working for Sally’s less than 6months and started out past time but for about a month now I have moved up to full time and get between 30-40hrs a week, usually right around 35.
Am I supposed to be getting any sort of paperwork? And the schedule print offs still say Part Time and whatnot. I don’t get benefits to my knowledge and all that blah. Can anyone who has transferred from part to full time tell me what I should be expecting or when? Should I have already received something? I know I let them know I would love an ASM or SM position so my SM has been teaching me a lot about supply, hazardous waste, etc. other then SM paperwork and Scheduling I can’t think of anything I’m not atleast a little familiar with
So I JUST learned how to do this (purely by luck!) so wanted to post here for anyone who doesn’t know and finds themselves in need (also going to note for future reference to teach this to others at my store with new hires). We had a lady come in and charge the rest of what she had on a card as a partial and then didn’t have enough to pay her remainder. Unfortunately when that happens you can’t just back out and cancel the transaction with tenders started. My coworker tried before calling me over to help figure it out. First I tried to void the tender how you would void an items which very much didn’t work.
Finally I found the “edit tender” button the the bottom of the different type of tenders screen. It has the option to void the tender and then you can back out and cancel the whole transaction!!

Hello! I’m a full time employee and I’m about to take maternity leave soon but I am having trouble finding information/ getting information on it??? Essentially nobody’s willing to respond or actually TELL me what’s needed (even the DM) I know I’m qualified because I work 35+ hours a week, & the doctract isn’t working for me. So any information would be super appreciated Thank you
I just finished doing a refund. Normally I tell the customers “it’s going to get refunded to the card ending in so and so” and I read out the last four numbers on the card that appears on the receipt. But the customer I was helping was telling me that those weren’t the last four numbers on her card. I told her that maybe it’s her account or routing number. She checked as well, and it wasn’t. I told her to call her bank if anything, but if she was positive that she paid with that card, then it’s gonna go back to that card. Could it be that maybe the system changes the numbers or is it a number that’s related to her card/bank in a way? Or was homegirl just confused?
Has anyone spoken to an agent recently or has gotten any updates on the dailypay situation?
So like the title says.. i quit last week cause my store went to crap and i got a better job. I was supposed to receive my paycheck today. They always came in at 8:00- 8:30 pm on Thursdays its currently 9 pm. And no paycheck so naturally im a bit pissed cause i was already pissed cause the manager who was overseeing the store (our old manager got fired) is spreading lies bout how i quit saying i was laughing and being rude. I literally walked in handed her my keys and said "i found a better job" and ran out. Ugh. Whatever. I wasnt sure if its cause today is the 26th?? And christmas and stuff- but i use chime. And today is not considered a holiday for them. And i got my last paycheck on Thanksgiving day? So idk. But i did see they canceled my daily pay account. And i also saw on my chime on my past direct deposits it pops up as "daily pay". So idk if its related to that or idk maybe im overthinking this whole thing but if anyone could help i really appreciate it cause i dont mess around when it comes to my money :((
UPDATE: paycheck has been received it was direct deposited in my account this morning so i was freaking out over nothing lol but figured i would let yall know for future reference. Thank u to everyone who gave advice it was greatly appreciated!! <3

Not sure if I’m the only one who has been actively listening to the songs played on Sally’s in store radio system but today a song said and I quote “fucked her with my gym shorts on “ and I could have sworn I heard the word dick multiple times. If the exact song comes on again I’ll Shazam it. But it doesn’t sound natural and like it’s a part of the song. So is someone trying to lose their job?
Does everyone working at Sally’s get paid minimum wage as well despite being there for years? Except for managers and assistant managers of course. How can I ask my DM for a raise?
Trying to see if this is happening at any other locations so we can get IT on ot if it is, I know of at least 2 stores so far, including mine.
Basically, register 2 in my store was acting up and not registering items that were successfully scanned during check out. It seems to be some kind if delay because you either have to scan everything twice or wait a few seconds between beeping them to get it to register. We called IT and all they did was restart it and that fixed it but only temporarily, that was yesterday and this morning it was doing it again. It's been fixed for now the same way as before, but we're sure it's only a matter of time before it happens again. Keep an eye on the screen as you're scanning the next few days and let me know if anyone else is having the same problem!
I went up to the cashier with 11 items. She was super sweet and helpful and we talked about everything I got - she was like, “ooh these are nice, these are nice,” to everything.
After she rang me up, my total was like $28. I asked, “oh… did you get these?” Pointing to the nail polish and hair color. She said “yes, I did.”
I looked at all the items which definitely should’ve been closer to $60. I said “Are you sure?”…. I am an honest person and could tell she had missed some things. She assured me she got everything, and told me the thingy was ready for my card. So I checked out and figured maybe some stuff was on sale.
When I got outside I checked the receipt and yeah my Wella Toner, 2 bottles of nail polish, and fancy hair clips weren’t on the receipt. She missed 4 items.
I considered going back in but I did ask TWICE if she got everything so I figure I did my part and decided to accept the blessing.

Is anyone else having issues with their employee discount not working on the app or online? I know it doesn't always work when there's a BOPIS sale, but mine hasn't been working for a couple of weeks now . I've tried the app and the website with no luck!

So I have never called Helpdesk before today. I wasn’t even sure what extension to use and stuff. But it was just me and one coworker who left for her lunch. As soon as she left I had a guy come in for a BOPIS. I didn’t see his order packed and I couldn’t find it in the system AT ALL. No where. And we didn’t even have what he ordered but he showed me the confirmation of payment and the fullfilled email the had OUR address on it. As I’m trying to deal with this ANOTHER person comes in and says they also have a pick up… and SDD that a delivery driver didn’t feel deliver for some reason and she said she called about half an hour ago and also called customer service who called us… my store got neither of those calls but low and behold she has the receipt of payment and email with OUR address. We are so busy and I’m alone and both of them are mad and yelling and in a rush so I sell the guy something different and tell him to call for a refund and the girl I just gather up the items and give her which I know was probably a boo-boo but I was stressed and my store manager wasn’t answering her phone.
I finally get the line down and call Helpdesk which was awful and basically I guess both orders were sent and packed at a different store but the email was sent via our store (?). Not entirely sure but Helpdesk acted like it wasn’t a big deal but they were not the one getting bombbarded by angry customers
