Salisbury University
For the Redditors of Salisbury University, located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. SU's beautiful campus is some 30 miles from the Atlantic beaches and 2.5 hours from Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
Feel free to post anything. At this point we are such a small community that to limit submissions would be ridiculous. Let's just strive to get the conversations flowing! Meet up coming soon....

Interested in looking for a bar where there's a DJ and you could dance at but if the bars in the area don't have that then could I get some recommendations for like a fresh graduate who just moved into the area? I don't mind if its Salisbury/Ocean City/Snow Hill.
Hello people of Salisbury,
I am a humble man from a land far away in the state of New York whom attends another small local university. I stumbled upon the great city of Salisbury when researching the closest Cookout location because I really wanted cookout. I realized Salisbury University is located right near the closest Cookout out to my land. I did some further research and I realized that Salisbury University has some fire merch in the bookstore. It is now my life goal to drive 5 hours to visit Salisbury to get Cookout and buy a t-shirt. Does anybody have suggestions of anything to do around the spectacular small town of Salisbury, Maryland??? Any ideas are much appreciated!!!
I’m learning Italian and wondered if there were any Italian exchange students/Italians in general who might wanna get together and help each other with our respective languages, or just generally hang out. It might be a long shot, but hey. I dunno many other ways to find practice partners in Salisbury, and it cant hurt to ask
I’m an incoming freshman studying comp sci. I love the school, but I’m worried about the academic reputation that this school has for being “dumb”. It seems like this place is on the upswing though. How is it here?
I'm looking for someone quiet to rent an apartment with soon? I was looking at Marley Manor
Can you drive on international driving license in Salisbury? If yes then for how long? Thanks
I'm not a student, but a local resident wanting to support the local team. Based on Google maps there is limited street parking, and it's my understanding that to use the garage you must have a permit which of course comes at a cost. Are these the only options?
I’m an incoming freshmen for this fall and i still haven’t found a roommate so I’m posting on here incase any other freshmen might see this. So i like reading and play video games but i don’t stay up late and wake up pretty early and i’m pretty tidy. Also Im doing gender inclusive housing thing as well since i’m trans so if you’d like to have a queer roommate here i am. :)
Can any current students/alumni/parents help me out with this one? I'm trying to decide between these schools right now. I plan to obtain a BS in Computer Science and swim competitively. I know that they are both good schools, but I was wondering which one is more academically rigorous (especially in STEM courses), has better staff, and would be the best pick overall. Also, how much of a party school is Salisbury, and is Loyola worth the money?
Thanks!
I am a transfer student that wants to pursue a degree in social work and eventually complete a Masters in clinical social work. I want to do therapy but I also want to work in correctional facilities and courts so social work is the better option rather than psychology.
I had been dead set on psych for awhile before deciding social work because of the importance of the psych background for therapy and overall clinical side of social work. UMBC offers a minor in psych and a BA in social work that seems like a good fit but I wanted to know from SU social work students what they think of SU's program and how much psychology is in it.
I don't care much about the overal social scene differences between the schools, I just really don't know which school will set me up better for clinical social work.
I would really appreciate some help. 😊
Thanks!
So basically I had 3 top schools: UMD, UMBC, and Salisbury. UMD rejected me but I got into UMBC and Salisbury. I was thinking about doing MTAP and transferring to UMD but I’ll probably have no friends because I would transfer 2 years later. UMBC is #2 but the scholarship they gave me is really small ($10,000 less) compared to Salisbury. I also heard that UMBC isnt all that social but strong academically and that Salisbury is the reverse. I personally want a strong social and academic life in a school. I also plan to major in comp sci. With this information present which school should I go to?
Hey, just looking for a random spot to work on my short game with some range balls. Not looking for a course or driving range. Thanks - bored healthcare traveler
Hello! I’m a sophomore at Washington State University studying Marketing. I am looking into a few different schools to participate in the National Student Exchange Program, which lets me be a student for one semester at another university. I might be attending Salisbury University for fall of 2023 as a junior. Can someone tell me about the class rigor for marketing, the campus culture, the area/weather, and anything else you like/dislike about SU? Thank you!!
Anyone familiar with the BSN program at Salisbury? As it’s not direct admit, wondering how competitive it is to get admitted to the professional part of the program? How many are admitted pre-nursing vs how many are actually admitted to the BSN program? Can’t seem to find the specific info online.
Hey just moved here for a 13 week healthcare contract. Does anyone have any guidance to play any slowpitch in the next few months? Even indoor hitting? Thanks
Hi, I’m visiting campus for a tour soon. What kind of stuff will be available like shirts and other merch? Will I have to buy that stuff or will it be free from the tour?
Hello,
I have found myself pretty bored at SU. I’m not a huge extrovert so “finding my people” isn’t the huge issue… it is just finding things to do here. I’m 21 F if it helps.
Any good clubs? Study groups? Stuff you do that I can join in on?? Let me know!
I’m an incoming transfer student moving into Sea Gull Square. I was wondering if someone could elaborate on the limitations on bringing your own furniture. I’ve looked at the Housing Rules and it doesn’t give details except for just saying no furniture in any SU apartments.
Are there any good black barbers around there who cut hair well?
