How i wished the SUMC went down

We had missed opportunity to include Andrew Garfield in the Venom films

We had missed opportunity to have Tobey Maguire featured in the Movies like kraven or morbius

Creating 2 universes out of former spider franchises simultaneously integrating with there No Way Home Appearances giving Andrew and tobey supporting roles would have allowed Tom Holland to still shine

We had missed opportunity in Madame Web to connect andrew Garfield and tobey Maguire (Maybe even Tom Holland) to the great web We got Ezikel instead of what I was hoping would be Morlun and his family from the comics hunting the 3 spider girls setting up a Spider-Verse movie where the spiders come together to defeat the vampires

As for how Venom fits into this, I suspect we would see him in spider-man 4 and tom holland will gain the symbiote suit by the time a spider-verse film would ever be made

We had missed opportunity for Spider-Man 4 (Tobey) and ASM 3. Sure 3 spiders a bit much but would now make sense after NWH and coulve made use of villains from the villan films and setup Spider-Verse stuff

Well there's still hope for Spider-Verse after Secret Wars, The SUMC is a mess and i don't just wanna see these films lead nowhere, we got Vulture in Morbius universe for crying outloud I don't just want a "Vulture returned when a new universe formed after Secret Wars"

Kraven ending was likely leading to a Kraven vs. Savage Six movie

By the end of the movie, it was clear that Miles Warren was being pointed as as a potential main villain for the sequel who would create other animal themed villains similar to how he had created Rhino and Chameleon. When Kraven goes after him to find a cure for his brother, he likely sends a team of these animal soldiers i.e. the Savage Six for the battle.

Is it possible to get more of these films?

I really loved Kraven and it’s possibly my favorite marvel movie of all time behind only gotg2. I was really looking forward to the future of these movies.

How can we get Sony to release more of these films and make that sinister six movie. I’m already planning on buying the Kraven blu ray in March, but I’m wondering if they accept fan mail or something.

Is there anything else i can do?

    favorite Spider-Man Spin-Off movie.

so with the Sony Spider-Man Spin-Off Universe having ended a month ago when Kraven the Hunter released, that means this universe is pretty much dead now.

so with that, which films set in this universe did you enjoy at least?

    Livre Spider-Man

Pocket universes or timelines for Madame Web and Kraven films?

Everywhere I look, I see that the SSU includes the Spiderverse movies, Venom, Morbius, Madame Web and Kraven. The Spiderverse films acknowledge Venom which acknowledges Tom Holland's Spiderman as does Morbius through Vulture from Spiderman Homecoming. It makes sense for all of those films to be in a shared universe as they all acknowledge each other, but Madame Web and Kraven the hunter seem to be the odd ones out. They both lean heavily into Spiderman lore and Madame Web even has the whole "Meanwhile in another universe.." that was present in "Into the Spyderverse" and "Venom" and the glimpse of the Pepsi sign that was in Spiderman Homecoming. All of the live actions films in the SSU also feature the Daily Bugle (which is not a feature of the MCU films) and that to me is akin to the MCU's use of WWiH World news which was present in several MCU films and tv shows. Yet the directors of Madame Web and Kraven the Hunter made it very clear that both films are in standalone worlds. That is contradictory. The SSU was acknowledged as being Earth-688B in the Spyderverse films. If Madame Web and Kraven the Hunter are in Earth-688B how can they be in separate Worlds as well? The only explanation I can come up with is that they are in alternate timelines or pocket universes. Or is this just an oversight that they won't bother to rectify?

    Podcast Continuation of the SUMC

    Hi r/SUMC !

We're "Has To Do With Spider-Man, I Think?" a podcast where we pitch hypothetical movies, complete with dialogue, casting, and even directorial choices, set in the semi-interconnected universe of Earth 688B. We wish we knew about this sub a long, long time ago, because we're actually approaching the end of our first phase in a month or so. However, that just means you all have 5 pitches (6 this Sunday) that we'd love for all of you to join us on.

We started the project back in July of 2024, so we had to kind of work around releases like "Venom: The Last Dance," and "Kraven the Hunter," which we have episodes discussing both. We're available on most Podcatchers, and our Bluesky, Twitter (or X) is where we post updates. We plan to post some bonus content on our Substack while we're working on the big crossover story that closes out phase one. Linked below is our Spotify link and the first pitch episode (if you wanna skip us summarizing the first four SUMC films) along with our socials.

Outside of this crossover, we try to post an episode once every two weeks. We really enjoy what Sony has put out and we hope y'all enjoy our project.

What comics would you use as reference if you were hired to write for the SSU?

A lot of people talk about Lethal Protector and Kraven’s Last Hunt, but for a Spider-Manless movie what would be some good series or issues to take inspiration from? Also they don’t need to be villains that got their own solo movie already, like Doc Ock or Hammerhead

If Kraven 2 by a miracle gets greenlit, which character would you prefer as the main villain?

Saw the movie yesterday. I thought it was pretty good. Was thinking about possible sequel ideas.

What villain would you prefer? If you have a different idea, post in comments.

Pepsi Sign in Madame Web film?

Did anybody else notice that the same Pepsi sign one saw in the climax of Madame Web was also in Spiderman No Way Home? That's a neat little callback in a not so great film. Apparently it is an actual tourist spot in the Queens borough of NYC. I think that was a subtle way of trying to connect it to the Tom Holland films.

    Daily Bugle?

In the MCU, WHiH World News appears in several of their known movies and tv shows even some of their tv shows that did poorly, such as Inhumans. Everything that WHiH appeared in was part of the MCU, and I took the appearance of WHiH to indicate that (among other things). The Daily Bugle appears in Spiderman Far From Home and Spiderman No Way home, as well as Venom Let there be Carnage, Morbius, Madame Web and Kraven the Hunter. To me this use of the Daily Bugle parallels the MCU's use of WHiH to indicate that the SSU is an interconnected universe. Interestingly enough, WHiH also appears in Spiderman No Way Home, as that film is part of the MCU (and yes, No Way Home acknowledges the original Sam Raimi films and the Amazing Spiderman films as all being connected to Holland's films and the rest of the MCU as well). Do you all see the Daily Bugle being in those SSU films and mirroring what the MCU did with the WHIH World News, indicating that the SSU is all interconnected (and all tied to the MCU)? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thank you for your time :)

What Earth is the Madame Web film in?

I have done a lot of digging and everything I find says that the Madame Web Film exists on Earth-688(B), yet the director says that it's in it's own standalone world. Isn't that a contradiction? “Meanwhile, in another universe…” In a switch from the typical genre, Madame Web tells the standalone origin story of one of Marvel publishing’s most enigmatic heroines. The suspense-driven thriller stars Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who may have clairvoyant abilities. Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women destined for powerful futures…if they can all survive a deadly present.” That's another blurb I found. It's all well and good if they are using the idea of multiverse to explain away inconsistencies (as has been the case in comics and media adaptations for a long time now). That said, it's a contradiction as the SSU is designated as it's own Earth. Is the Madame Web film a pocket universe within Earth-688(B)?But then isn't Earth-688(B) a pocket universe of Earth-688? So it's a pocket universe of a pocket universe? Is this just an oversight on their part, or am I missing something?

    New SUMC Slate Oncoming!

This was a bit of fun making. A what if scenario if Sony heard our pleas & included Spider-Man in their (S)ony (U)niverse of (M)arvel (C)haracters Slate…

)And perhaps hired some decent writers instead of Matt Sazama & Burk Sharpless…)

Any idea when Kraven takes place in the timeline?

Couldn't find any details that point to any specific time period for the film or its relation to the other SSU films. Excluding behind-the-scenes materials (since those Morbius props and deleted scenes were all over the place) is there anything that could point us in the right direction as to when Kraven takes place?
