Ate at Modern Brewery on Oakland for the first time and wow the food was much better than I expected. They’ve really nailed the fries and it’s apparent their kitchen has high standard in terms of the cook on the food and ingredients used. Can’t wait to go back. This place punches above their weight for sure
Looking for anywhere that has a seared scallops on the menu but not solely seafood. From st Charles to downtown . Price doesn’t matter just the scallops.
I will be in STL for a business trip for a few days. Any natives, what do you think the must-eat staples are that I wouldnt be able to get anywhere else?
Not iced or cold brew, but frozen. Similar to a slushy. I don’t think Starbucks sells them. I looked at their menu online. Thanks.
I asked this is the wrong group, but coming to the STL foodie hive mind this time will hopefully give much better results. I’m new to STL and I’m trying to find a restaurant that makes fried chicken using a buttermilk or sweet tea brine. (Gus’s uses a marinade which gives a great flavor, but it’s not what I’m looking for.)
Good news!
The grand opening for the newest Chuck's Hot Chicken location at 231 Arnold Crossroads Center in Arnold, MO is this Thursday, October 24th. Menu offerings, like the other locations, are Nashville-style hot chicken, in heat levels 0-6, zero being just great capsaicin-free fried chicken and 6 being one of the hottest foods you can purchase at any restaurant around. You can get tenders, wings, or a sandwich, or pair your choice of chicken with a waffle. Sides include (but aren't limited to) fries, mac and cheese, garlic cheese curds (my personal fave), and corn fritters. Dip your chicken and sides in one of four delicious dipping sauces, and end the meal with a slice of cake or frozen lemonade.
This location is take-out only, so order pickup or delivery from Chuck's Hot Chicken or order in the restaurant at the counter or kiosk.
We use to love going to Kimcheese, they had a variety of meats and rice, sort of like Seoultaco a little bit. Just wondering if there is anything similar in the area that i might not have seen yet?
Taking our kids to a concert tonight at Chafitz and looking for a good place to eat while they are there. Any suggestions will be helpful.
I’m dying for puffy tacos ever since Fort Taco crashed and burned. Does any restaurant in the metro make anything like these? I tried my hand at making the shells at home, but failed miserably lol!
Around STL, St charles, or even all the way out past wentzville. What would you say is the best place for hibachi?
Hi, lovely people. I'm really craving a good french dip. My favorite is at SoHa, but they aren't open for lunch on Sundays. I live in South Bevo, but I'm willing to drive. Thanks in advance!
Visiting St. Louis from out of town and looking for a recommendation for a restaurant with a) great ribs, and b) appropriate ambiance to celebrate a wedding anniversary. What would you suggest?
Hi all! My boyfriend and I are headed to STL tomorrow for a concert- and we’re wanting to try something new. What’s your favorite ramen spot? Ideally something kind of trashy and vegetarian friendly!
Hi, looking for a specific rec...what do we think the best place on The Hill for a "bestie Sunday dinner" is? My friend and I just want to put on cute clothes and catch up over good wine and food tonight. So, it obviously has to be open on Sundays (that's the trouble I'm running into) and budget isn't super important, but not crazy expensive. Thank you in advance!

Friends coming in from out of town that are staying at Union Station. What are some good local dinner spots near that area? We’re going out on a Friday night. Looking for somewhere that isn’t too stuffy or crazy expensive.
My girlfriend's 21st birthday is tomorrow (10/3) and we're still undecided where to go. Any recommendations?
Bonus points if it's a burger joint, but not required.
I’m partial to Carl’s in Brentwood. Young’s in Valley Park is pretty good, too. What’s your go to?
