Anyone know of anything going on for New Years?
Hey I'm a transfer student and I haven't met a whole lot of people yet, are there any good halloween parties this week? My old school had lots of crazy halloweekend stuff but I haven't heard of anything here. Is there even a party scene?
anyone interested in collaborating on projects to expand their skills, network, and portfolio?
Hi there! I am an incoming freshman and I am taking a BA in the new cinematography department. I currently have 18 credits (15 is the recommended amount ) but I am a vigorous student and my classes (Spanish, Film related shit, and a debate seminar) all seem interesting and from what I’ve heard, not just ass fucking me with work. My question is- how was your first year schedule? Busy/loaded? What classes did you have? Were you always busy and not able to socialize? This is quite the amount of questions, so let’s chat!
Hey guys! First year student here, I’ll be attending this fall as a digital cinema student. How did you guys find roomies, and what have your experiences been so far? Any advice? Feel free to share, have a good sunny day dudes :)
Conversation and info sharing encouraged
I'm going to be transfering to SOU in 2019. I was wondering what you think of the school in general? How about the Emerging Media and Digital arts program? Which dorms are better Madrone or McLoughlin?
I need to know what the best option housing for freshman is. Feel free to leave anecdotal or important info:))
Hi guys! i’m transferring from Southern California as a Theatre Major, i’m deciding whether i should find an apartment somewhere or do housing. I have a few questions if anyone would care to answer: Meal Plan: do i have to do a meal plan if i live on campus? What are the meal options? what’s the quality of food? Is it worth it? Housing: Is there a place to cook? Is it competitive? Is it truly better socially and more convenient?
Thank you so much! i’m really looking forward to going to SOU and any extra advice is definitely appreciated.
I’m transferring in the Fall 19 term, and moving into the dorms (don’t know which ones yet) as a Junior. Any advice? Thanks
Where does everyone go after classroom hours to hang out?
Hey guys (all 85 of you),
I'm really interested in going to SOU for their film program. The area is becoming a big hot bed for filmmaking and the school seems really cool, too.
Any of you guys have any experiences with the program?
I recently moved to Oregon at the beginning of the year and have been looking at schools with a strong chemistry program to apply to. I've read that SOU carries my specific major, Chemical Physics, and wanted to know if I could get an opinion on the quality of the program from students here in the sub. Pre-emptive thanks for the help everybody.
What does everyone think of SOU, what kinds of changes do you think should happen? Personally I am pretty happy here and love the school and have been here for a few years but I am curious what everyone else thinks.
It's ridiculous. I've never seen so many janitors. I want to cry.
Hey all! There is a clubs sponsored "carnival" at the SU this Thursday night from 5:00pm-7:00pm and a raffle in which you can win an iPad (last I heard). So come by, get some food, play some games and say hello to me at the SOU FAD (Film and Digital) Phtography Club booth where we will be setting up a photo booth. :)
I decided to take over this Sub since I am a current sou student. I will be trying to advertise a little bit more around campus and making this a spot for people to chat about the comings, goings, and happenings. Thanks!
I'm about to put in my app for SOU and it looks like a great university from the website and all, but I'd still like to hear something from an actual student. I'm a senior half way done with my year in Indiana and would love to hear from a current student or an alumni from SOU. Was it a good experience in general? What is there to do? What'd you major in and how'd you like it? Any sort of feedback would be much appreciated!
i know that I'm not the only SOU redditor... I should be reading but the interwebs have sucked me in, also : Monday Night Football..
