Do you know Great Battle ? I think Great Battle 4 is one of the best Super Nintendo game ever made.
I was browsing Reddit and came across this sub. Remembered I had these from my childhood.
Hi! I moved to europe a few years ago and brought my NTSC snes with me. I have always played it on my LCD tv but have recently acquired an old PAL sharp crt TV. The crt doesn't have av input, only s-video and scart so I got an av-to-scart adaptor. The console worked when I plugged it in but the image is black and white. Anyone knows what to do to solve this? I searched online but couldn't get a definitive answer.
Hi everyone,
A friend of mine asked if I knew the name of a game, but I couldn't find it even after searching through all the action games in a database of 1200 games, and using LLM resources to try to cross-reference the data he gave me.
Since I'm obsessive by nature, I decided to ask you guys for help. Here is the information he remembers:
1 -The game is from SNES
2- The game is a Beat 'em up or close to it.
3 - The game takes place entirely or mostly on a ship, with a deck, cabin, etc.
4 - You can play as two different characters, a female character, and a male character.
5 - The female character has a move that releases a tornado.
6 - The story of the game involves a hostage rescue, a child.
Memories often play tricks on us, especially those from childhood, so I think one or more of these pieces of information might be wrong, or a mix of several games into one.
He confirmed that it is NOT any of the games below:
Final Flight 1,2 or3, Captain Commando, The Peace Keepers, The Ninja Warriors, Rushing Beat, SOS, Kouryuu no Mimi, Undercover Cops , Run saber.
Krikzz vs SD2SNES?
I have started this game many times over the years. Usually I don’t get through world 2 because I end up getting super frustrated. I usually start off trying to 100% and then give up and just settle for finishing the levels. I still try and seek out the flowers and red coins which causes me to die a lot and makes some levels take forever. I can’t help myself. Has anyone else had this feeling? Have you 100% the game. How long did that take? I do plan on finishing it this year. Don’t think I will ever 100% it though. It’s so hard
I'm making my way through the entire library of SNES games to come to an eventual definitive Top 10 list. I'm not committing myself to actually beating every game but at least giving them a try to see how long they can hold my interest.
I run the library through a random list generator and play whatever I roll. Here's the latest iteration of my Top 10 (I have posted my full ranking in the comments):
Rolled some absolute bangers this round, which made my current top 3 really hard to nail down.
Secret of Mana blew me away with its beautiful graphics and music, which really carried what was otherwise a pretty barebones story. The combat felt clunky at times, especially at the beginning, but once I got the hang of things it felt super satisfying to wack monsters with a well timed charge attack while getting the other party members to cast spells. What really held it back from the #1 spot however was the boring map design - from the many pointless dungeon corridors to dead towns and NPC’s, it all just held back the overworld from really coming alive. There's more I could nitpick but it's still a good game overall.
Kirby Super Star is just pure fun from start to finish. Almost every single power you could steal was well fleshed out and even when I thought I'd seen everything they just kept surprising me. That along with the smooth controls, nice music and unique art style, it's no wonder I couldn't stop smiling while playing this game. I do like the variety offered by some of the minigames but there's also a part of me that wishes more resources were spent on the adventure modes to lengthen them a bit. I finished the game but definitely see myself coming back to 100% it one day.
What ultimately put Street Fighter II Turbo at the top for me is the fact that I still find myself coming back to it even after playing all these other great games. SF2 was great, and it's still in my top 10 for now, but something about Turbo just feels way better to play. Almost every day I let this game kick my ass and even when it makes me want to break my controller, I just keep coming back for more. Maybe it's the iconic music, or maybe it's watching myself improve as I crank up the difficulty, or perhaps I'm just a massive Chun-Li simp (actually yeah that's probably it), but God damn i love this game and as someone who never saw themselves as a fighting game type of guy, I feel like it has opened up a whole new genre for me.
love this game! excited to play some of it again tonight. I heard people saying the Genesis version is better but I have yet to play that version.
I was at a local game stop in town and they had this assortment of collectors games. Would you pay this much for Chrono Trigger?
Hi all,
Trying to find the SNES version of this https://www.ebay.com/itm/271642649514?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=TwhxaynHRwC&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
