Hey everyone, I have put together the 2024 Earthquakes Season Sunset Survey!
There are questions about players going out of contract, new coach rumors, and some familiar questions from previous surveys to gauge things over time. Please take a few minutes to fill it out and if you know someone that may be interested please share the link with them so we can get as many responses as possible!
Sometime shortly after the season ends I will post the results in the same place(s) you're seeing this post.
Basically Espinosa, Hernan, and Jebo/Yueill ( I think). I don't know if its on par with most, better than a lot, or less than most. Obviously the team is the worst in the league but if you just take the best from it I don't know where it ranks among most other team's top players. Just curious.
One top-level comment for each player. Duplicates will be removed. If there's already a comment for the player you want to nominate, feel free to upvote that and add any additional thoughts in a reply underneath the original comment; open discussion on nominees is welcome outside of top-level nominations.
Hello everyone! I have a few of these Hernan cards for sale. $10 each. I can meet up with you before the game tonight or on Saturday.
Does anyone have a Hernan Lopez Topps card they are willing to sell to me? Hoping to get it signed at the trophy event. Thank you.
So since San Jose has already clinched the wooden spoon. That means San Jose is getting the 2nd Overall pick in the 2025 MLS Superdraft (No 1 goes to San Diego as they are a expansion side). Who should the quakes consider drafting onto the team?
So, with the A’s leaving Oakland and the Quakes continuing to be an absolute disappointment, I am currently spiraling and doomsaying. I wanted to throw out some (not so) fun facts for you guys.
With 72 GA, the quakes are 3 GA away from tying the worst GA record in MLS history, 4 from breaking it. With only 3 games left, teams just need to score 1 goal a game for us to tie.
With -35 GD, we are 9 GA away (assuming we don’t score any more) from tying the worst GD in League history
If we lose our final 3 games, we will have the record for Most Losses in a season in MLS history
We are currently tied with DC United for Most Wooden Spoons at 4 a piece, which is funny because the first ever MLS Match was Between the Quakes and DC United. Quakes won that game, but DC united went on to win the cup that season. But we have since Clinched the Wooden Spoon this season so we will be passing them and now have the most wooden spoons in the MLS
This is a historically bad season. Like even the Sharks last season weren’t this bad and they were TRYING to lose.
Anyway, this team is completely cooked and I don’t know why I hurt myself by rooting for this team.
WE DID IT!

The second John Fisher has his grubby hands off of this team I’ll put in my STH deposit. He’s gonna try to do exactly what he did to the A’s to us. I just bawled my eyes out today in the Coliseum because I lost one of my diehard teams and I refuse to support the same thing happening to another because of the same douchebag. Not to mention I’m about to enter my 5th season as a STH and I have heard nothing about any rewards, but every other week I see a new promotion to buy season tickets like a free jersey or video game. All I have gotten this year was a $50 increase in my season tickets. Everything that grimy fuck turns to shit and I’m not gonna be a part of it anymore. I know goddamn well I won’t be a STH when I hear the inevitable plans of the Las Vegas Earthquakes.
The Earthquakes are giving out a copy of FC 25 and and a jacket if you’re a new member. Existing members just get a cool scarf. Just wow.

pay attention... hes already laying out hints
I can help you analyze these links once I go through them.
First, regarding your questions:
How many times have the Earthquakes announced plans for multifield training facilities? I’ll review the links to provide a count of how many times such announcements have been made.
What are the odds the women’s team (Bay FC) completes their training facilities by 2027, starting construction next year? I can review the links, especially the one about Bay FC, to gather context. I can then evaluate their past track record and the factors influencing the likelihood of completion by 2027.
What else is important to consider? After reviewing the links, I can give you a broader analysis of relevant details that could impact the completion and success of these training facilities, such as finances, local regulations, past delays, etc.
Let me dive into these links to provide you with a detailed response. I'll check for patterns and important factors to address your queries. Give me a moment.
The San Jose Earthquakes have announced plans for multifield training facilities at least three major times:
These announcements reflect a long-term effort by the club to build a comprehensive facility for both its professional teams and the community.
Bay FC’s training facility is planned to break ground in 2025, with completion aimed for 2027. This timeline is aggressive but achievable if there are no significant delays. The Earthquakes’ experience, such as their delays with securing land and permits for the Fairgrounds complex【9†source】, shows that large projects can be subject to setbacks.
Bay FC has notable support from high-profile investors, including former USWNT players, which suggests a strong commitment. However, local factors like land-use agreements, environmental approvals, and construction timelines will play a crucial role. Based on the Earthquakes' past experience, the odds are decent but uncertain until the project reaches critical milestones like securing land leases and construction permits【7†source】【8†source】.
Community impact: Both the Earthquakes and Bay FC are incorporating public-use fields into their plans, which adds a layer of complexity, as they must balance community access with team needs.
Permit and environmental hurdles: Projects in the Bay Area often face delays due to environmental reviews and local government negotiations, as seen with the Earthquakes’ struggles to secure locations【9†source】.
Financial sustainability: Successful execution of these facilities hinges on financial backing and partnerships. The Earthquakes are working closely with Santa Clara County, which bodes well, but Bay FC’s project will need similar local support【7†source】【8†source】.
Considering these factors, while both teams seem committed, it will be important to monitor their progress through the planning and permitting phases.
