Rules:

  1. SFW:
This sub is SFW, no NSFW content, this includes asking about NSFW content or linking to NSFW websites. Where there is a grey area, eg a SFW link but the site hosts NSFW material mods will make the final decision.

  2. No Services or Service requests:
No buying or selling services or software. This includes asking to buy services or asking where you could buy services/apps/datasets etc or linking to websites that offer similar. This includes Patreon, Fiverr, or any content creation request sites.

  3. Careful Crossposting:
We do allow crossposts, but be sensible. If you post the same link to half a dozen subs we might consider that spamming.

  4. Offical Apps Only:
Download links should be to the official software websites/githubs etc. No linking to .exe files or similar in private storage locations or offering any type of custom or modified app.

  5. Don't be a Dick:
Be nice to people. Do not speak down to Newbies or those less informed than you. If someone asks a question that you think is stupid, try helping form a better question rather than explaining how much smarter you are.

  6. No backseat modding:
Don't like someone's comment? Downvote and move on.
Someone broke the rules? Hit the report button.

Monthly No Stupid Questions Thread - December, 2024

Welcome to the Monthly No Stupid Questions Discussion!

Have a question that your Google search hasn't answered yet? If you ask here, someone that has dealt with it before might be able to help. This thread will be created every month and pinned at the top of the subreddit to help new users. As long as discussion and questions are safe for work in nature (Don't link to NSFW tutorials, materials as sidebar states) you can ask here without fear of ridicule for how simple or overly complicated the question may be. Try to include screenshots if possible, and a description of any errors or additional information you think would be useful in getting your question answered.

Expereinced users should not be noob-shaming simple questions here, this should be the thread to learn. This has been a highly requested topic to do for this subreddit, and will additionally clean up the mirade of self posts asking what X, Y or Z error is or why your render collapsed.
