Hi everyone, do you know of a good tool or one similar to automating category descriptions in ecommerce?
Has the Aug 2024 update helped you? I know it's not been helpful much but still better than the last 2 core updates.
How have you diversified your traffic if you are still trying to?
Hi, i am currently trying to improve my websites visibilty but am currently working on a tight budget. Any recomendations for a cost effective SEO software that doesnt require me selling my second child?
The most common approach in SEO is to write long articles, optimized with keywords and covering the topic end-to-end.
I've been into SEO for 18 years and have noticed a trend since 2018 (not very specific about the year) - that people want direct answers to their queries.
People search for questions and want direct answers - perhaps why people are using ChatGPT more these days for basic queries.
From SEO perspective - long articles make perfect sense. Google, now-a-days highlights the actual answer to the query - which is often a 1-sentence.
I've been applying this learning to our community (forum) and seeing great results. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Addendum: I understand that this works for 'questions' that people type in Google and not every query. Most people seem to ignore the questions their customers want answers to.
I bought an established small business about 4 years ago that already had a great website, but it was under the .net domain. The .com name is available, but because it's common words and a short phrase the domain selling websites have it listed at about $3,200. I'm okay with that price, but just want to know if there are any tips on what a legit site would be to buy it from - I've never bought a domain before and am not sure exactly how it works.
Also, I would prefer something that will redirect to my current site until I get the .com site set up. Currently our .net website is managed by a company that runs our online presence, but it's pretty expensive to use their service. So by eventually setting up a separate .com website I hope to eventually migrate most of my business over there. But until that's launched, since I'll already own the domain I would love to have it point to my current main .net website.
Any tips/tricks/things to look out for when buying a domain will be appreciated. Thank you!
I’m a new business in property management. I have a steady flow of leads from one source but would love to grow organically too.
I have a good idea that SEO is very helpful with this goal but my weekly blogs and social media posts have not been effective. In this case, is it worth hiring an SEO expert to help out?
What should I focus on in SEO (I.e. social media posts, blogs, keyword optimization, etc.)?

I am in NYC and looking to teach myself SEO for my own law firm
Hi, I’ve been a salesman for most of my life, selling and marketing products online. Recently, I’ve started exploring the potential of SEO to reach more people and present my products more effectively.
As I’ve been diving into guides and watching videos about SEO, I realized I actually enjoy it. However, I’ve noticed a lot of concerns people fear AI might disrupt SEO as we know it, and Google updates seem to be affecting traffic significantly.
So, I have two questions:
I've noticed that the below for my engravings (guns) that we do very little of, a couple a year really is super SEO strong considering what we are a jewelry store and have setup all the pages (seo wise) about the same. What would make the gun engraving stand out more than the rest of the pages if the whole site is created just about the same?

It’s a solid site with DIY, how to and review content. No manual penalties from Google but it is failing CWV. Fixed the speed issues and submitted the fix, waiting for results. Site follows most best practices for on page. DA is around 6, so backlinks probably need to be a focus. Built on WP. Had awful user experience with Ezoic ads everywhere. Wasn’t earning much from them so I got rid of Ezoic.
Anyone else ever run into this where the site ranks for a lot on Bing, but not Google. Thoughts on where you would prioritize efforts to get ranking on Google?
I'm encountering a perplexing issue with my website’s visibility on Yandex. While Google has successfully indexed all pages of my site—including the homepage, blog posts, and product pages—Yandex has only indexed the blog and product pages. Strangely, my homepage, which is crucial for first impressions and user engagement, remains unindexed by Yandex.
This situation is particularly concerning because the majority of my audience is based in Russia, making Yandex's indexing crucial for my site's visibility and success. I've checked the usual suspects like the robots.txt file, noindex tags, and meta directives, but everything seems in order.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues with Yandex? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I strive to resolve this and ensure my homepage is as visible as it should be.
I’m starting to learn SEO and have come to a roadblock. I watch videos on how to build backlinks but nothing seems to work. I’ve only got one guest post link so far. Does anyone have any suggestions to help?
Thanks in advance.
Hey hey hey!
Here with good news, got my first customer from my free lead generator.
I made some posts in the past about this but to keep everything short. I wanted to start a programmatic SEO boutique, nothing big just have 3-4 customers per month and make 10k so i can literally be as free as you can get in your 20s. I started implementing programmatic SEO to some of my friends SaaS Framer websites then came and shared that story to Reddit, from that i got a few small gigs here and there but i wasn’t scaling and it was too stressful to get clients.
After that I stumbled across Framer plugins, and they just launched the marketplace. So I cancelled everything and dedicated my entire brain power on creating the first programmatic SEO Framer extension. The plan was to sell the extension and maybe upsell to my services.
I created the extension, got approved on the marketplace but then i realized that maybe it would be a better idea to offer the extension for free and this way maybe i can upsell my services better. Said and done, i switched to a free extension and in 2 days after the release i got a meeting booked, jumped on the call, and they seemed very interested. I sent them a payment link via email and boom got a payment. Now all i gotta do is deliver and officially i got my first client from a free extension.
Now I will launch on every directory and see where that leads me.
Thanks for reading this whole poem!
Hi everyone,
I manage an e-commerce/service website, and we also operate a sister website that focuses on a specific category within our niche. There’s a bit of overlap between the two sites: the main website offers some information, services, and products related to the category, while the second website is entirely dedicated to it.
Both websites are hosted by the same provider, and in the footer of each site, we link to the other, referring to it as a "sister website."
I’m wondering:
Any advice on how best to manage this relationship and improve SEO without causing harm would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
I manage SEO for a therapy practice and they publish sex therapy articles, mental health articles etc. Recently a book review they released ranked very highly in a porn adjacent phrase.
I'm concerned this may impact the sites traffic for professional related inquiries if google associates the website as an adult entertainment website. There is no explicit content and everything is very professional.
Thoughts?
I've heard about buying domains and "pointing", I've heard others talk about partners and making posts that at some point link to your website.
I'm ecommerce, it's not difficult to rank, I would like to increase my authority with backlinks. Where do I find these "partners"? How does this contact work?
What should I know about it? Are there any specific tools for it?(like KW research) Also pls share where I can find some resources to study it.
As put in the title has anyone grown e-commerce website with just SEO and organic traffic and made high revenue and profits? Any other examples or of things you might have heard, could you please share thanks.

https://topshipping.co We are not a digital marketing agency but we doing for our own website and we are able to rank on top #1 in less than 10h after indexing by Google. This community doesn’t allow sharing the screen shots.
I am launching my first site to showcase my freelance services I wonder which name is better or if it's even worth it
I'm trying to understand where the keywords I see at the ahrefs dashboard are coming from? What's the exact source?
Is it from the Google search console results? I see there are impressions so it's be an indirect way to calculate the volume?
Or the keywords and volume is coming from the Google Ads API? I know there's information about the volume and suggestions keywords too?
Does anyone have any insights or understanding of this?
Hello, I have two website let's call them W1 and W2. They're in same niche, however we decided to cancel the W2.
So I was thinking of migrating the blog post from W2 to W1. All articles are indexed and generating some clicks and impressions.
My question is, will this affect the SEO of W1 since it will get flagged as Plagiarism? I would delete them from W2 and 301 the URLs, but I'm not sure how this will affect the SEO.
Thank you!
Anyone know of any welding school affiliates? I have a website that I’ve been playing around with that’s getting decent traffic (pretty much accidentally). Curious if it’s worth anything
When making blog posts for content on a website does adding the city help with rankings?
We currently have blog posts with *city name* roof repair and similar posts. We do this to try to target certain cities because we have multiple locations. Does this make any difference or would it be just as good if not better to just leave it as 'roof repair'?
I have two pages for the same product on my website — a product page and a review page. The review page is ranking for the search term "Dr. Dabber Switch 2" instead of the product page, even though I prioritize the product page in terms of internal linking. Both pages use structured data:
According to Google's guidelines, product pages should use Product snippets for items not directly purchasable on the page, while review pages can use Review snippets with additional details like pros and cons.
Here are my questions:
Would appreciate any insights or advice!
I’ve noticed quite positive results for the website (ranking, clicks, impressions, av position) following the August update which is opposite to what is happening now. A significant drop in all the metrics mentioned above. Have you noticed anything similar? Or any other observations on this ongoing update?
For a job interview they gave me the keyword "FUE hair transplant" and asked for user intent and persona for writing the article. I have to tell them the persona I have in mind for the reader and how it helped me write the article. The user intent is "informational" i think but what about the persona? Can you guys help me out?
