Hello, I was just wondering if anyone can let me know what software/downloads are needed for the Business Admin diploma and degree. I am trying to research which laptop will fit my needs in advance and I’m looking at the arm laptops. However apparently they have issues with downloading certain software. Any help would be much appreciated. Just for further context I will be majoring in supply chain and doing the full 4 years at Sait.
Anybody taking IM for January 2025?
If anyone who has taken IM, how are the courses?
Is this a common issue?
I was supposed to graduate in Fall 2024, but due to the lack of available courses or instructors to teach them, graduation appears to be delayed until the end of Spring 2025 at the earliest.
Has anyone else had this issue with their program?

I noticed it rushing through Stan Grad to get to my next class. Did everyone forget to wear deodorant today or something?
Hey everybody, I want to apply to the HD tech course at Sait but I still haven't found an apprenticeship yet. I am wondering if I should just apply without being a registered apprentice but I'm not sure if my application would even be considered. I want to apply soon before the program gets filled. Thanks
Hey everyone!
I’m starting the GIS program at SAIT and noticed they recommend specific specs for a workstation. I already have a pretty powerful desktop at home that should handle GIS software just fine. I’ll be attending the program in-person on campus, so I’m wondering if a laptop is necessary for in-class work, or if my desktop will be enough.
For those who have done the program, do you recommend having a laptop for on-campus work, or do most students get by with the campus computers? And if a laptop is necessary, any recommendations on models that can handle GIS tasks without breaking the bank? I’d love to hear what worked for others!
Thanks in advance!
Hi! Can you guys share some of your experiences with the English Conversation Partners? I am willing to be a student volunteer though I wouldn’t claim that my English level is on top. It’s my second language and I speak it often. Do i need to be well advanced to volunteer here?
Thanks!!!
Hey guys for those of who you applied to DMS this year, were you guys not all told they did first qualified, first applied, first accepted? I was under the impression this is how they decided who got in. Now with this whole two acceptance cycle thing it really seems to be a lot more based on competitive scores on entrance exams. I’m just so confused on how they actually are deciding who gets in and how this whole process is. Does the time you applied matter at all anymore?
I’m having AutoCAD and Estimating class next semester, I noticed that both classrooms are in NK, which provide desktop in class. So I was wondering if I need to buy a windows laptop as I only have a MacBook right now. Thanks!!
Hello, I am planning to apply for Data Analytics Certificate at SAIT. What are the pros and cons? Instructors, whom should i avoid or take classes with? workload? Job market afterwards? Any other advise?
Thanks
Hi everyone,
I took the PSEA in late September and haven’t heard anything since. I emailed SAIT, and they told me that external organizations will send the results to the School of Health & Public Safety, and they will update the application portal. This means they are also waiting for the results.
My application checklist still says that the PSEA results are pending. I’m worried that my test results won’t be ready by December. Does anyone know whom I should contact to inquire about my PSEA?
It’s my first term at SAIT and I would like to know how to withdraw from my program because I haven’t done it before. What’s the withdrawal process and who should I reach out to?
Hi! I had a quick question to ask in regards to the Academic Placement Test at SAIT -- I want to take Chem 30, Bio 30 for Academic Upgrading -- am I required to take the placement test for those?
Some people are saying it's mandatory, others say it only applies to Physics and Math.
Any and all answers are appreciated.
Is there anyone who will be attending for PE starting from Jan. Would love to connect. Also people who have been in the program I’d like to know how it was for ya’ll and how easy/hard was it to find a job eventually. What the pay is like after giving ABSA exams and what future career prospectives might look like. Thank you in advance.
How long does it take for PSEA results to come in?
I got fourth quartile for CASPer!!!!!!!!!!! hopefully I get in to MRT 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 december can’t come soon enough!
Anyone else having issues getting group members to show up and take part in projects?
My program seems to, in most of my classes, be at 30% attendance and my group members seem to vanish as soon as assignments are assigned.
Hi, I am currently registering for Winter Semester 2025. There are only 3 people in my block and I am afraid they will cancel the whole block of classes. I took a break during the Fall semester and most of my classmates didn’t. Now there’s only three of us within my section. Would they still cancel the classes? I just don’t think it’s fair for me because we were supposed to take a break during the Fall semester anyways. How is it my fault that no one did HAHA. I don’t know if that makes sense but yea I just feel worried. Anybody had similar experiences? Please let me know!
Hi, do you guys have any suggestions about places that are great to volunteer at? I’m in NE and i’m looking for some. Also, what are the volunteering opportunities at SAIT? I’m new and don’t know where to start. Thanks guys!
Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone had any insights on the PSEA and how to study for it for respiratory therapy! Im currently finishing a bachleors and have a hs average of 88%. I haven't looked at any highschool subjects in 5 years so Im not sure how much of that will be asked. How did you guys study for it? Are there any materials that can help me prepare? How much did you guys study for it?
Also, if I apply mid November, is that too late? Im worried I wont get accepted, I know the first wave is Dec 6, so I think mid November might be too late. Im taking the casper on nov 7 and planning to do the psea nov 9.
I want to do heavy duty mechanics but I’m not sure which pathway is better the traditional one with work then school repeated for 4 years as an apprentice or the diploma way
It’s confusing me with the diploma way like do I have school for 2 years then I’m a journeyman or do have to still do the 4 years of work after receiving the diploma to get my journeyman ticket
well, its tbh very confusing for me cus few days back i asked what languages do they teach in the first year software development and someone said basic html, css, and javascript
and now today i saw a post which said that they teach c++, python and java in the first year..
please guide me correctly regarding the languages i'll be learning in this program so that i dont face any difficulty in the future
I want to get a lob in cybersecurity field but I can’t decide between ISS or IT diploma courses that I should take at sait. First I was about to take ISS as it is for cybersecurity but then I saw the reviews for the course they were all saying that the course is not good and doesn’t teach you anything if you are a beginner but the reviews are all 2 to 3 years old and I heard that they changed the course. Is the new course good or should I just take IT and do a post diploma for cybersecurity analyst
sorry if this is a dumb question, but if i were to apply to all of these, would i need to finish them all in 1 semester (if thats even possible to do multiple of the same subject in 1 semester because of prerequisites) or will it be 1 per semester while being considered full time since i applied to all 3?, or will i be only able to apply for 1 at a time, which would make me a part time student, right? I don't qualify for anything else (which is why im upgrading)
