How do you change a custom zone to a build zone that was already a non build zone or how do I delete it?

Anyone have a cool bunker base design for a duo? I’ve looked at a few on YouTube but wanted to hear Reddit’s opinion

They changed where the door controller is able to be placed? It has to go on the door next to the lock. Also once wired the wire remains visible in the open air where the door controller is placed. This essentially ruins powered trap base strategies. Kinda sucks hard.

Why can’t I drive boats? I get in and hit the gas.. it just stays in place or goes back and forth from forward to reverse.

I searched this but couldn’t find an answer.

I’m coming back after over a year away from the game and now I see that the tier two monuments like trainyard and airfield have scientists. As soon as they aggro and start shooting the monument becomes grub city and you’ll never make it as a solo. Is there some way to kill them quietly? I’ve even tried killing them without the key cards, coming back with them after checking for counters and of course there’s two guys in the tunnels with Dbs waiting for me to climb down the ladders

I've played console rust for a few years now, I've never seen it. Community server

joined a community server that had offline protection using zones. We had a green ring around our base when we went to bed, was told by admin it stays on for 10 mins after you go offline and then it goes red (protected). So tell me why I woke up raided this morning!? No more protection ring when we logged in. Super annoying.

Hello, I have a question for you whether it pays to buy rust now at 40% discount or wait for a bigger discount

I love that they added them to some monuments, but their respawn seems bugged right now (and has been for a while)

It seems they have no shame respawning right in the middle of you running the monument…

This wipe Train is my local monument and it often seems to have issues with respawns. Sometimes I’ll take out the 2 by the scrapper switch, run to the tower switch, throw that and get to the fuse box only to find the scrapper switch has reset and the scientists are back

One time I killed the tower scientist, ran up to the switch and heard the weapon click as he respawned below me so had to kill him again on the way out

Also long ago at Airfield I’d just taken out the scientist outside blue card room and they both respawned behind me and killed me! That one was effin annoying

I hope they fix it soon, although given it’s been this way a while I won’t hold me breath lol

Anyone know if it’s like that on PC?

Hi everyone!

Since I have been consistently playing Rust (about 2-3 months), I wanted to share some questions/things that have happened to me since starting. It would be nice if anyone wanted to answer or share some of their funny stories when they started to help ease my pain.

I hopped in my first Vanilla server and didn't understand anything really. Building, crafting, what a TC was, or what workbenches did. It was a disaster as you could assume. I ending up building a fucking Minecraft house (like a 2 by 2) with a wood door next to outpost. All someone had to do to get my stuff (and they did) was stand outside with and Eoka. I stopped playing for 2 weeks after that hahaha.

After that I had my first real (Bi weekly) Wipe. I looked up a base tutorial (it took me like 2 hours to build) and started to get my sh*t together. The one thing I have trouble with, still to this day, is PVP. On console we have no aim trainer or whatever so I have no way of practicing unless I engage in PVP. The amount of deaths was unimaginable. My thought process through the entire thing was "If I make enough weapons, dying wont see as bad". Little did I know it didn't matter, each death hurts every time.

Something I've been curious about with the community is what is your thought process as SOON as you get onto a new server (Fresh wipe or not). I watch YouTubers like Sebby and Spoon who both have a WAYYY different outlook on a server (Sebby being Eco raiding and Spoon being a grub lol). I usually run the roads, get as much scrap as possible, hit outpost/buy material, and then build a safe starter. Idk if this is dumb but I've found it to be the quicker way to get a base started.

Im hoping in the future my anxiety eases when it comes to PVP, and I'm sure when everyone started it was a scary thing/you gotta try and kill/kill to get better. Ive had multiple instances where I build ALL DAY, and someone with a good edge on everyone just raids in like I didn't just spend a long time building it.

My next question is what is everyone's take on Solos. I don't have friends that play really but what I do know is that playing with people is more fun/efficient. Ive played probably 90% of my time solo, and I don't know if its against the code to raid solos, or people literally just don't care (Ive been raided 100 times solo lol so that may answer it)

Last note:

What does everyone think is the best play style. Some people are very agro off jump, and some passive. Not sure but any tips help. Thanks for reading all if you got here haha.

Was Trying to get into a weekly server and waited 2 hours in 74 player queue, was around by console the whole time and made sure controller was connected, finally loaded in to server and got a Disconneted Controller popup, not allowing me to do anything, I turned off controller, plugged it in to console and nothing work, got another controller and did the same thing, nothing worked. Just really mad that I waited almost 3 hours and there is still a 46 player queue now. Has this happened to anyone else, Just kind here to talk shit about this issue.

Night time I can only see my reflection in my screen, how do you cope with this?

like they're all 5x+ start with a kit like I just want a solo/duo/trio 1.5x or 2x max why is everything so shitty and busted

Has anybody had this happen ? We set gatehouses and 3 external tcs we went to put up keep and 2 of the 3 were just randomly gone and not raided is this a bug going on rn ?
