Hello all, I'm a filmmaker and I'm desperately searching for a free to use track that sounds similar to Blue Monday by New Order. What I like about it is the vintage production value, the gothic sound, and the interesting use of synths. All i've been finding either is too spooky or modern or slow. If anyone can find anything it would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Everyone,
I am a content creator on YouTube creating dance fitness videos. I have super niched down to specifically creating Afrobeats dance fitness videos. As much as Afrobeats music is catching wind, as a content creator I am having the most difficult time finding royalty free Afrobeats. Don't get me wrong, there are some royalty free music platforms that are with the times and do have a great selection of Afrobeats. But I do find a lot of the Afrobeats out there is more of a chill vibe and not necessarily be something appropriate to dance/workout to.
My question is if there is anyone that knows of a royalty free music platform that SPECIALIZES in Afrobeats or maybe one that has more Afrobeats than usual?
My last resort would be to contact independent music producers and pay for their beats...which can get very pricey.
Thanks in advance :)
Hey guys,
I recently found this amazing ad video by Pika and the related music audio by StrayBeatz. I'd like to make a video in the similar vibe: very dynamic, positive, fun, with urban and danceful vibes.
I was wondering whether you guys knew songs with a similar tone / rythm, or if you could give me some tips to find a corresponding music.
Thanks!
Hey everyone! 👋
I'm working on a project aimed at making life easier for producers, mix engineers, and musicians when it comes to sharing and gathering feedback on tracks. The idea is to create a super simple platform where you can:
The focus is on making the process streamlined, efficient, and painless—so producers can focus on creating and improving rather than chasing notes.
I'm turning to this community to ask:
This is still in the early stages, so your input can really help shape it into something valuable for the community.
Thanks in advance for your ideas, and feel free to DM me if you want to chat more about it! 🙏
I will add the website url in the comments, if that is okay with the moderators! - If not I would still love to gather some feedback on the vision :)
The Free Music Store has 15 music packs containing a total of 85 songs, all free/royalty free! The music was made with game development in mind, but certainly isn't just limited to game dev!
Happy shopping!
Each pack comes with parallax backgrounds in the preview to help kickstart creative ideas!
I just need something free to use for a marketing project I'm doing for school. I'm having a hard time finding anything close to what I want, most of the "retro" music I find sounds too modern. The idea is that I've got to create a commercial for a video game store from the 90's. Here's an example of what I want the background music to sound similar to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVYSdaXGOEU Thanks in advance!
I hope it's alright to post questions here. If not, my apologies.
This is a very specific request and I'm unlikely to find what I'm looking for I know. I'm in need of free to use authentic folk music from Peru. This could be anything from all regions of the country. Each region has its own style but I'm desperate enough for anything. There are a lot of Andean inspired tracks on places like audio jungle but those aren't really what I'm looking for, as they're only inspired by the traditional music of that region. Are there perhaps any places I might find licensable recordings of this stuff or even old public domain? And for that matter, does something like this exist for any other countries in general, particularly the rest of Latin America? Are there any other subreddits I should ask? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello Everyone!
I'm looking to make a Heavy Metal/Rock Christmas music mix video for Youtube. I have already found the AMAZING Alexander Nakarada's music, but I'd like my video to have a variety of artists....
Does anyone have any recommendations? It could be your own track or someone else's who offers their music to creators for free...
Every video I make includes the name of the song and the artist who created it on screen as the song plays and in the description, alongside links to their own Youtube channel or other contacts (such as websites/socials). My goal is to promote amazing artist flying under the radar and provide my viewers with "soundtracks" for their everyday life.
Here's a link to my channel, it's pretty small, but it'll give you an idea of the kind of content and community I'm trying to create: https://www.youtube.com/@Your.Everyday.Soundtrack
Thanks and I can't wait to see your recommendations!
If you need copyright free and royalty cleared music id recommend checking out https://link.aimi.fm/
I frequently use them whenever I need music, and they have a variety of products for different purposes!

So this song used to be all over YouTube a few years ago and now I only hear it on a few Reddit TTS videos. The only times it has been credited in the video description, Kevin Macleod and Incompetech is named there. I’ve sifted through every ragtime/jazz song of his I could find, some come close but aren’t it. However I’ve seen an old Reddit post that credits “Jazzy Feelings” by Media Music Factory but google doesn’t turn anything up by those search terms. I’m inclined to believe it’s one of Kevin’s because it sounds so, so close to his Ragtime tunes. I’ve tried Shazam, soundhound, aha music and a few other song identifying gadgets but to no avail. So I’m hoping someone here can help me, my poor head can’t take the abuse of being beaten against this wall for much longer
I have a question if anyone on here knows the answer - but we are looking at filming where some music might be played for people to dance to.. the content we are making from the shoot will be social only, and the music I'm looking at purchasing will be licensed for exactly what we need.
The question I have is that it might be filmed for local and national TV news.
What I'd like to know is that if we were to play popular non-royalty free music for the segments that the news team film, would they be fine using that music as it's an editorial output? Like if we're dancing to Ariana Grande are they fine to show that?
I'm trying to work out if I need to purchase an extended license or could get away with a normal online only one if all we're using it for is our own output, but that the news team will have something they need too.
Hope this makes sense and someone can make sense of it.
Thanks!!
There are lots of instrumental options for bolero music. Is there any royalty free option where a singer is also involved? Instrumental gets boring as film background music..
