Hello, I’ve been trying for the past two months to try to get a job, most places either don’t look at your application, or you don’t even get an interview. I’m trying really hard to get a job again. But it’s been difficult and I need advice.

Anyone else see the chopper that airlifted something to IKEA's parking lot this morning? I think it was around 9:20am. Couldn't really figure out what was tethered to it, and if the chopper actually landed, but it was hovering about as low as the top floor of the parking garage.

I usually use the smaller shopping cart, as I curb side most of my stuff. This morning I picked up one of their mum bushes and it took up the whole cart, so I switched my stuff over to a bigger cart and went about my morning. Checking out the other plants, watching the helicopter... then I went to grab my phone. It was not there and total panic set in. I thought, surely noone has lifted my phone when I wasn't paying attention... but where was it?!? I realized I must have left it in the little phone holder of the smaller cart and hustled back over to where I left the cart.

No Cart, No Phone.

Banged one the curbside doors to ask if they had seen it and they told me to check with customer service. The whole way there, I'm thinking about all the information on my phone. Passwords, payments, accounts, photos of my kiddos... all of it could be gone.

But no.... no it wasn't. And it wasn't, because whoever you are - you are honest. Thank you for making this world a better place, and thank you for turning my phone in.

I received this card a few weeks ago about bulk trash and brush pickup in my area. I am confused because, on one side of the card, it says that the event will take place on October 5th @ 7 am but the flip side says that my neighborhood clean up is on September 28th @ 8 am.

Did I miss the event or will they pick up bulk trash & brush in my area until Oct. 5th? Can anyone please shed some light on this and clear up my confusion? Thanks, neighbors!

Anyone else experienced the AT&T issue with an outage? Been down since Monday.

Just came back from A Go Go Sushi & Ramen and we were impressed with our meals. I had the Eel tempura (sans cream cheese) and the Monster roll; spouse ordered the Spider Roll and the Alaska Roll.

Both came on decorated plates with a dry ice vessel and twinkling lights. Presentation was whimsical and pretty. The rolls were of really good size, perfect rice, and nice pieces of fish. Sauces were outstanding.

Between Sushi Yume and A Go Go Sushi & Ramen, Iron Fish in Pflugerville had better up its game.

If you’re a woman soccer player, you should join the Purple Cobras! It’s a coed soccer team I’m on at North East metro park via ASSC (Austin sports and social club). We play Mondays. It stared as a team of free agents and has been together for like 2 years, so it’s a motely crew. All skill levels welcome. It’s 8v8 with 20 min halves. The season starts October 7 and lasts like 8 weeks. It’s a super friendly team and we like to go to the little Woodrow’s bar after most games. The league is sponcered by the bar so 20% off. Hello, today while I was asleep apparently AT&T installed a. Fiber? Wire? Or something, I don't know, wasn't awake and I'm also not very smart when it comes to stuff like that. Either way ever since they left our roku has been freaking out, ( pausing for minutes at a time and distorting the audio on things we were watching. I swear I thought my grandma was watching Venom in Spanish from how deep the warping made the person speaking.) Our internet has been sucky overall as well and I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem.

Looking for a dentist who possibly takes my insurance (UNUM) or has some kind of in house payment options would be ideal. I had a bad experience with a root canal at the last place I went earlier this year that I found on my insurance providers website. Also a huge bonus if they work well with patients with severe (it was just moderate before the last visit 🤦🏼‍♀️) dental anxiety. I would rather a well reputed office that is non-judgmental and kind while I am trying not to freak out than one that takes my insurance.

Made some money in these ventures but nothing consistent. I bought my first house last summer and been renovating it, looking into buying my 2nd soon. Now I'm looking to get back into starting another business but would love to with a partner. I have solid knowledge of ecommerce, wholesaling, running FB ads, texting campaigns, some minor video editing and ad creation experience, and web development (my profession). I want to do it right this time and I believe having a partner to hold each other accountable and collaborate would help this journey. Doesn't even have to result in us teaming up but being able to bounce ideas off each other would be an awesome start.

My employee really needs help. Her current attorney is not reliable, among other things. I have referred her to file a complaint with the Texas Bar Association.

She’s a single mother of two little girls. Her ex does not have a job, but has a girlfriend who is financially independent and assisting him. He is taking her to court for full custody.

Any help would be great! I’m not from the area and I have already referred her to Texas Legal Aid and the UT Law department.

It doesn't start anymore. Replaced the gas, If I spray some carb cleaner on the filter it might kick on for a few seconds on the first pull but then putters out.

I work from home and a neighbor has a motorcycle that is extremely loud and he goes by my house several times a day; they even drive it by sometimes at night.

What can I do about this? What are the ordinances concerning noise in RR?

Update: Geez, I didn't think there'd be so many assholes on this sub, telling me to move, get thicker walls/glass. I think I'm gonna talk to him and tell him to drive by YOUR HOUSES.

Yesterday evening I went to the Walgreens at Hesters Crossing and 35 to get a prescription. As I'm walking in there is a woman talking on her phone with 2 children. She was placing one in the seat basket and the other standing by. I'm walking to the desk and the nightmare starts. She stood her other child in the basket and the kid freaks. Starts screaming in Spanish and so loud and distorted I couldn't understand her. Pharmacy tells me just another 10 mins. until ready, NP, except this kid. The whole time I'm there waiting this kid is screaming, seriously, actually fucking screaming at the top of her lungs while mom is casually walking around the store on her phone doing nothing to placate this kid. I'm not kidding, the kid in the seat was calm, mom on phone, and the other just fucking screaming. I ended up walking out and going to the drive thru.
