Change.org petition to request Jack Allen’s to bring back their Sunday Brunch Buffet.
Im hoping to propose to my girlfriend of 3 years soon and want to pop the question in or near our hometown. Does anyone know of any pretty parks that are within say 25 miles of RR?
Zilker is out of the question unfortunately due to the trail of lights!
Appreciate any help!!
Anyone seen any firewood for sale around town this season? I hate paying for the overpriced bundles at retail (HEB, Home Depot, Tractor Supply etc.) - much prefer to support our local neighbors who usually sell out of their truck/trailer on the side of the road...

Best local restaurant recommendations for dinner/lunch that are open on Thanksgiving day?
I see that Market Days is coming up on December 7. Having never been, I hope some of y'all can answer this -- the marketing page says "local artisans and vendors," but in my experience many of these events are clogged with people hawking MLM products (Scentsy, Young Living, DoTerra, LuLaRoe, Pampered Chef, etc.), or reselling cheap crap they bought wholesale somewhere else, and have very few people selling actual handmade stuff. What is the vibe at Market Days?
Moving to the area and looking for good schools in the Round Rock area. Mainly looking for high schools with good number of AP courses, stable teachers (less attrition) and band program. Any recommendations?
Racquetball Tournament: Longhorn Open 2025

Good afternoon!
The Longhorn Open is officially up for registration, and we are excited to see familiar faces back at UT! This year, we will be hosting a 3-day tournament at the UT Rec Center (Jan-24-26th), which being later into the semester will allow for longer tournament days which will accommodate for all divisions being finished with time to spare. There will be food all weekend, as well as a wide variety of divisions offered for everyone to find a fit. We will be capping off the participants at 125, so make sure to sign up early, which will also help us get t-shirts ordered in the correct sizes for all players. If you have any questions, feel free to email, message, or call!
Does anyone know the best way to keep up with local events in RR, Georgetown, etc .
Anybody want to learn guitar? Please don’t hesitate to reach out! 🎸
I need to install a couple new outlets. Anyone recommend an electrician?
Any recommendations for an orthodontist or dentist who removes permanent wire retainers if you aren’t an established patient? Been neglecting this for months and really need it removed as I plan on getting braces again anyway.
Anyone know what’s going on with the Blackhawk orbiting the police station on Mays? I’m assuming they’re using the training area for an exercise?
i mean it’s not much, 1,235 down to 1,205…. but that’s never happened to me before! :)
We will be moving to RR soon. Yay! I am pregnant with our 2nd IVF baby so I will need to see maternal fetal medicine as well as an OB.
Does anyone have any recommendations for good clinics? Bonus points if any have both at the same clinic.
Also which hospital is best to give birth at? Thanks!
For the 20% of you that aren't enraged that I supply the fun you hate twice a year:
I am looking to add another location in the area. If you have a business or land in an ESD or unincorporated location. Just needs to be along a decently trafficked roadway with good visibility and options for parking.
Let me address the common concerns I ofen hear.
We will not disrupt or impede your business. Throughout the season we may have 1-2 customers at a time. Our busiest days when we do need parking are the days your business is likely to be closed(xmas,New years, July 4th) Your business will likely benefit however from increased exposure and cross-traffic.
Absolutely NO fireworks will be used on the property. That will get us shut down, fined, inventory confiscated, permits denied and cost us thousands.
No, these stands do not blow up. In the 50 years we have been operating dozens of locations this is not something that happens. It's actually more common with brick and mortar stores, but still statistically insignificant.
In the extremely unlikely event something like that does occur, we are required by the state to carry a multimillion dollar insurance policy that covers the property we are on and people. To illustrate just how rare that is the policy is only a few hundred dollars.
We do no require much and will not bother the owner or their business.
After an initial meeting there is really nothing else we need from the owner.
We setup the building a few days before the season starts and its packed up and gone a day or 2 after it ends. In total about 2-2 1/2 weeks.
If electricity is available we only need a single 20amp outlet. If not we can discuss the use of a generator/ light tower.
How much does it pay? What kind of terms?
The rate depends entirely on the location. The first season we need to keep it reasonable. Even if all the indicators of the property look good sometimes it just doesn't convert to sales. We are taking a risk, like any business. If that first season performs well then we talk about a longer term lease at a rate that reflects the earning potential and what the owner is content with.
We absolutely respect the land we are on and make a considerable effort to be an asset and positive addition for the owner.
Please share this with anyone you think may be interested. Oh yeh, and it comes with free fireworks, if you enjoy that sort of thing.
Edit: I wanted to clarify that I’m just looking for someone who does good baby bangs/micro bangs and stuff that I can see exclusively. TIA!
I’ve been going to a lady with her own business in Gtown for four years but I’m not happy with the results anymore. I’ve stuck to the same style but the results are kinda inconsistent and my last results are pretty shite. Like really shite.
I’m looking for a stylist that can do “alternative” but understands what looks good.
I have long hair but I like a short fringe and I want a stylist that knows how to do that within a reasonable cost.
Any recommendations please? And thanks!
I'm not some old coot yelling at clouds here or asking which isle the Campbell's OxTail canned soup that was discontinued 20 years ago is in (we all have parents 8)...
I stopped buying my weekly Margarita Pizza when they removed the extra mozza and increased the price ~15% (this happened a while ago)
I stopped buying their carrot cake single piece when they recently got real skimpy on the icing. (about a month ago)
They don't have their store brand Naan bread anymore, only the commercial greasy stuff. (within last 2 weeks)
Yes, the Naan and I think the carrot cake are made elsewhere (likely by someone else) and came in frozen, but it was still good quality product to your specs.
Please continue to be outstanding, not overlooked.
Shout out to the front-line staff. You're always top notch! Appreciated!
Management, please put another HEB on 130 on the North side of Hutto (SH130 and University). It's a food dessert over here. Land is inexpensive and your usual tenants in the side buildings (like the Twin's) would also do well.
My family will be visiting my in-laws over thanksgiving in Round Rock. My best friend lives in Austin and is my usual tour guide, but he will be outta town while I’m there. As a true Wisconsinite, I love me some dive bars, does Round Rock have any good dingy bars?
