Sunnyside Farms Egg Nog <-- MIA this year?

Every holiday season my family loves this stuff -- but this year I can't find it anywhere. It used to be at Save Mart or Raleys... has anyone seen it around?

My handsome furry buddy ran away last night. Need y’all help to bring him home.

Title sums it up. Here is a photo of my young man. His name is Leonitis (Leo for short), is extremely friendly, and will come on command. He is also chipped.

Leo has a really bad bacterial infection in his right ear currently that I was still giving him medication for. Please help me find my boy.

He was last seen at Slate Creek Apartments off Douglas and Sierra college.

I’m freaking the fuck out. Can’t even cry. Just feel numb. He is my world. I am lost without him.

Better photo of him.

Edit* I made a posting on pawboost as well.

Old shutdown donut shop

My family and I are trying to remember the name of a donut shop we used to go to when I was a kid in old Roseville that’s closed down now.

Crazy crowds tonight at Cornish Christmas in Grass Valley.

I know it's the first day of the event, but goddayum, has it always been this crowded? It's been a while since I've gone, but IDK, it seemed like the entirety of Placer County, Nevada County, and maybe half of Yuba County were just all crammed into a couple streets. Kinda glad I left an hour and a half early. Just didn't want to deal with the shitshow of an exit.

Sunset/sunrise spots?

Hello! I moved to Roseville in June of this year, and I love your community so far! One thing I’m still looking for is a good spot to watch the sun set or rise from. Ideally within ~ 1 hour by car from Roseville. I’ve been to the Folsom Lake Marina to see the sunset over the water, and while it’s a good spot I’d prefer to find somewhere that I don’t have to pay $12 to get in to every time. Thank you!

House Cleaning Service

Anyone know of any good house cleaning services for move out services?

Was quoted $450 for a 1100 square foot house, but feels pretty expensive for that size of house and not a full service.

Would love a recommendation or someone they’ve used that’s a good price

Anyone go to Lucille's Smokehouse for Thanksgiving?

If you ate-in or got their pre-order hot meal to go - the smoked turkey, mashed potatoes, dry stuffing, mac-n-cheese, wet stuffing, biscuit and pie... did you feel OK afterwards?

I don't know if it was just me, or their food, but about 30 minutes after I ate it, it was a pretty strong case of diarrhea.

Loud explosion near Pleasant Grove

Did anyone hear that loud explosion sounding noise near Pleasant Grove? Happened at about 6:40pm on Wednesday 11/27. Sounded like a bomb or a rifle shot. Possibly a mortar or big firework. Shook my whole house. Just curious if anyone heard that.

Edit: in the neighborhoods between Brown and Buljan Park

Seeking community boards

Hi all,
I was in Raleys on Madison the other day and noticed that there was a community board where businesses can put their flyers and such. I am new to the area, and these boards are so helpful for me in finding local service people and learning about community events.

Are there any of these in Roseville? Bulletin boards where people can post? Like Maidu park or a local coffee shop?

Free Air for Tires

Can anyone recommend a gas station to go to today to fill my car tires up with air that actually works? I just drove to 5 gas stations that are relatively in my neighborhood and ALL of them have broken air machines. I can’t really wait till tomorrow I need to drive but if I have to I’ll have no choice. The business I bought my tires from are closed on Sundays so I’ll go there tomorrow as my last resort! 🙏

Anyone need a new regular at their home poker game?

Moved here a few months ago, and the family and I have started to happily meld into Roseville life.

I’ve hosted a monthly game (mostly hold-em) in SF for thirty years, and would love to find an established group that is in need of a new face.

I’m friendly, focused enough to pay attention to the cards AND the conversation, a good loser, not a complete jackass when I beat you on the river (well, not ALWAYS a complete jackass…), and I bring something tasty along to drink and share with other people.

Comfortable with low stakes, or higher - just looking for a friendly game for cards and camaraderie. My table has never had a rake or taken a sit-down fee (other than “bring something to drink and share”), and I’d like to find a game that’s similarly egalitarian. Am less interested in the casino world than the home game world, to be sure.

And, of course, if you decide it’s not a match after the first night, entirely your call! I won’t stalk you.

Many thanks, all. Nice town you’ve got here, and I hope it’s got a local game that needs a new regular.

Cheers!

Lost jacket

Kind of a strange one, I was walking to work and dropped my jacket and couldn't go back out to look for it, someone else looked for me and it was gone so I think someone picked it up. It's a iron maiden black hoodie with bright green design on it. Would have been dropped on Hidalgo cir or on the sidewalk headed to the mcdonalds on foothills. I just want it back it has lots of memories

Outdoor Photography Spots Nearby?

Hey all, photographer here that just moved to the area. I'm wanting to take some Christmas photos of my own family and was kind of wanting to do it in some redwoods or with a forest type vibe with alot of greenery if possible. Does anyone know of any good photography spots that could provide this for us? TIA!

Restaurants with good GF options for breakfast

Hey neighbors. My daughter just discovered that she is allergic to wheat, dairy, egg whites, and shrimp. So, it's been a huge challenge to adjust but she is doing amazingly well and we are doing what we need to!

I would love to surprise her and take her out to breakfast tomorrow morning but I have no idea where to go that might have good gluten-free, vegan options for breakfast. Thank you in advance!

This is great for traffic and watching snowfall in the higher elevations.

I'm trying to find one of the Folsom spillway, right next to the prison.

Our Post Office.

A few months ago, I purchased an old coin from a reputable dealer. Although it wasn’t worth thousands of dollars, it was intended as a gift for my wife. I tracked it using the seller’s link and waited. And, waited. But, it never came. So, I contacted our main post office regarding this issue because according to the link, it had arrived at their facility. After a couple of days, the top person in the facility declared it as lost. No problem. That’s why we buy insurance from USPS to cover any lost or damaged items.

Fast forward a few weeks after this incident. My son sells game cards, I think the Pokémon ones, on eBay. He posted some cards, sold it, but the seller asked for a refund for some reason. He sends it back through the postal service, sent a link to my son. He waited for it to arrive so he could refund the buyer his money. According to the link, it arrived at the Roseville postal facility but was never delivered to my son. Never got it.

On the package from the coin I purchased, the seller has a rubber stamp he uses with the store’s name: LA Rare Coins. For my son’s buyer, the cards were placed in a thick card protector, thus making it obvious what’s inside.

Coincidence? A pattern? What’s going on? Has this happened to you? I just find it suspicious that few weeks apart, it happened to the same address, both rare items. What’s your experience with our main USPS facility?

Thanks for letting me vent.
