Bottom main character.

Hiya yall.

I'm looking for recs for a type of book/fic that seems to be incredibly rare! And so I come before you seeking your ancient smutty/romantic wisdom.

I am a bottom myself and thus I feel that books with a similarly bottom-ish/vers male main character are more easy to relate to.

Basically what I'm looking for are romance/smut with one or more sex scenes where the mmc gets fucked in the butt, gets rimmed, or even just fingered. I don't really care if its by a woman with a strap-on, a woman with a cock or even a man! (Although I prefer monster men in that context.)

Bonus points if the story has a bit more class and plot than just having the title be something like "MY FUTA TEACHER FUCKED ME AFTER CLASS" with an AI generated lady with massive tits on the cover. Bit of a turn-off for me.

Also bonus points for monsters/non-human romantic interest with a human mmc. I love that dynamic.

I've really enjoyed the "His secret illuminations" books so ++ points with anything similar to that dynamic.

Thank you all in advance =)

Anyone have any Christmas or holiday recommendations?

Christmas is obviously a huge thing in the RFW community, but I've only come across a few in RFM. I have the three below, and they're great. Anyone know of any more? Mono, harem, contemporary, fantasy, sci fi, or any other scenario is welcome.

A Goblin for Christmas by Peter North

King of Christmas Town by Hercules West

Holiday Hijinks by Annabelle Hawthorne

Female antagonist/villainess

Any recommendation on novels that contain spicty scenes with sultry/voluptuous women that's on the other side? I don't care that's harem or NTR.

I have read

  1. Some Neil Bimeau novels: corrupted goddess. His chronomaner comes close in the first one but did not get to it.

  2. Heretic spell blade : eventually there was a fling in the last novel but the scene was too short.

A lot of failed seduction from villainess but rarely anything real. Anything else?

Romance... without smut or erotica

I'm not like impotent or anything, but I like to keep my books and my porn separate. I find that smut tends to actually hamper my experience when if I'm not intentionally seeking it out. Fade to black is good, but if there's one or two well-deserved sex scenes toward the very end and the overarching good romance overshadows it, who am I to complain? I really do like drama in my books. Love triangles and catfights are great.

Looking for books similar to 'Coven King'

I've recently gotten into the world of written smut. Literotica and gonewildstories just weren't cutting it, so I thought I'd look for some actual published works. I went through a few, finding the plots mostly forgettable and the sex scenes mediocre. Until Coven King. The humor is pretty good, the girls are great, and the sex scenes are amazing. Plus, the story is pretty interesting between the sex scenes.

Way more detail and way hotter than almost any other book in this genre I've found. Super bonus extra stars added for the focus on oral in their books. Most authors seem to treat oral as just a tease before the main event. You'll get a little in the first scenes with girls...then it's just sex and nothing else. These books have tons of oral, which is one of my favorite things to read.

I will say that after Book 2 of the series, it became a much more difficult read for me. The harem just became way too large, and the girls started to become a bit forgettable. Still good though. Just became a bit too much in my opinion.

I should note that I'm not specifically looking for harem content. Just good romance and extremely spicy spice.

So, I'm here to ask if anybody has any recommendations for similar books. I'm primarily here for the smut side of the discussion.

More specifically, I have a big thing for details, especially in the sex scenes. So please, open to all suggestions!

--

For some further notes on dislikes, one book I would mention that is fairly popular is 'Good Intentions'. I gave up in Book 1 on that one. The romance part was pretty good I thought, but the sex scenes I found to be lackluster and kinda boring.

And please do not suggest Randi Darren books. They write pretty good sex scenes and pretty great oral scenes. But I don't like the coercion stuff in 'Fostering Faust'. I like my stuff much more consensual. Also, about midway through he kinda dropped sex scenes down significantly to focus on empire building that I didn't find especially interesting. I've read other reviews that seem to suggest their other books have the same feel.

Hello everyone, my name is R Wayne Jones and I've just published my first novel. I'm trying to get the word out and I thought I'd let everyone on the romance for men subreddit. I hope that you give my book a try.

Move the cargo. Get paid. Live to survive another day.

Geller Briggs isn't just a courier. He's a Runner, a lifeline holding society together. With water, food, and gas in high demand, someone must brave the Wastes to transport much-needed supplies between city-states.

He's never had a problem dodging bloodthirsty mutants, opportunistic scavs, or crooked middlemen. No matter the risk, he always gets the job done...until someone discovers a secret he'd rather keep buried.

Blackmailed into moving a mysterious package, Briggs is just happy to be on the road again. But this unexpected cargo makes him a smuggler, with lethal consequences if the city-states catch on. At least he'll be set for life if he pulls it off.

That's a big if. The Wastes always win in the end. But if anyone can get this done, it’s him.

Beyond the Synopsis:

The main love interest is between the main character (Geller Briggs) and a woman who bullies her way onto his Rig (Lucy Horizon-Visions). This is a slow-burn romance.

Geller is a man with a mysterious past who doesn't want the world to know what he really is. Meanwhile, Lucy is a rough-and-tumble Orphidian (lizard woman) who falls for Briggs from an early age. However, even after the years have passed between the two, Lucy has grown up, while Geller has remained the same.

Will the two of them heal each other's broken hearts, or will the harsh heat and life-endangering world drive them apart instead?

Read and find out.

There are no sex scenes of FTB in the first book; in book two, their relationship will grow.

Help me find some SnekGuy Novels?

I read my first Snek Guy novel 'Viridian Sands', Loved it. Especially the Femdom stuff was new to me.

What Other Snek Guy novels should I Read?

  • It should have no cheating/sad endings
  • Humanoid LI's are preferred or atleast humanoid faces and sex.
  • If it's Anthro, Maybe something like Feline, Lupine and Not Serpentine(something like 'Selena' by cebelius is an absolute NO!) , not Lizard style or super weird stuff.

-Better if there are atleast some human ones in the harem if Anthro is involved.

Surival \ protection plot flipped halfway into the story?

For example, guy has to survive in wilderness with monstergirl, she's in her element, he's the weak party that needs to be protected, so she does, and they bond.

They get to civilization, or rescued, monstergirl is captured\treated as lowerclass \ enslaved \ forced to survive in unfamiliar civilization for some reason, and this time the guy rolls up his sleeves and HE is in his element now, giving back for all the care and protection he was getting earlier.

Preferably mono or very small harem, HEA, anything else doesn't really matter.

Reluctant Male Dom

I am looking for a book or series with a MMC with confidence issues that is pushed/ pulled into a Dom role with a FMC. I just finished Mercy by Sara Cate and would love a gender reversed version if anything like that actually exists. I have seen a lot of book lists about caring doms, but nothing that appears to scratch this particular itch. Thank you!

Average-looking MMC romance novel recommendations

I understand why this is exceedingly rare, but I still would very much appreciate any recs if you guys have them. Hell, I'll take ugly if you can find that. I'd very much like to see a relationship not be played on easy mode with instant "he's so hot", where the relationship is forced to develop solely through means other than physical attraction. Alternatively, a relationship where appearance CAN'T play a factor is also acceptable. For example, the MMC is wearing a mask for most of the relationships heavylifting, and only after most of the important stuff does the FMC get the perk of them being super duper ultra handsome. If the MMC's appearance isn't mentioned at all, that's fine, though it can't be a direct You x whatever or Choose Your Own Adventure. The novel can be harem, it can be mono, whatever is okay. Heterosexual only, though. Love triangles or catfights are much appreciated, but not necessary. No web novel's or fanfics please.

Traditionally Published Romance I think men would like: Like No Other Lover by Julie Anne Long

Traditionally Published Romance I think men would like: Like No Other Lover by Julie Anne Long

I have been struggling to come up with more romance books that I can recommend for a while. On top of that, the lack of any historical romance in my recommendation list has been bugging me due to how big they are in the genre. During a discussion on Discord, I realized I have a historical romance I can recommend, and that is what I will discuss today.

The biggest reason I have had a hard time finding a historical to recommend is I just normally don't enjoy them, but I recommend this one because Like No Other Lover uses the setting to tell a story that would not work in any other setting. It uses the social mores of the time to give us characters who are far more mercenary in their relationship planning than I would ever tolerate in a contemporary romance.

Our Characters:

The FMC has recently had a scandal and a canceled engagement that threatens to ruin her. She has no family money and if she cannot get married she is destined for destitution. Here we find the first parts of the story that only work in the historical, the idea of a scandal that no one will overlook but doesn't require our MC to be a horrible person. And second, the idea that a woman requires a marriage to stay out of poverty, in the modern world she can just go get a job, but in a historical romance all other doors are closed to her. The FMC needs to get married, and she needs the engagement before her scandal catches up to her, she has come to the small party the MMC is hosting to secure an engagement from any attendee she can.

The MMC is a scientist fascinated with bugs. He fell in love with the FMC at first sight, but he caught her discussing her possible suitors when he went to talk to her, and as she was discussing different men, he came up and she dismissed him as being beneath her. The tables turned, and now he has risen above her. However, he still needs money to fund a scientific voyage that his father won't pay for and he is going to be engaged to a woman whose father is willing to pay for his voyage. So both our MCs are seeking marriages for money. The MMC is not going lord his position over the FMC, instead he works with her to help her in her attempts to find a rich suitor.

Short Summary:

The MMC is hosting a party at his family estate and his sister brings the FMC to the party so that she can try to secure an engagement before her scandal catches up to them. The MMC is using the time at the party to woo the lady he intends to propose to. The FMC and the MMC actually team up with the MMC helping the FMC in her quest to secure a marriage proposal and she helps him in his wooing of his intended.

POV: Both.

Third Act Breakup: kind-of? >!She bangs him and then runs away to begin her life in poverty!<

What I like about this book:

This is a story that is uniquely able to be told in a historical. Two characters who are seeking to marry for money, without moral judgement because that was just a normal thing at the time. The characters grow to respect each other as they continue their plans. While it is almost like the MCs are dating other people, the courting of the time feels completely different, like they are interviewing for the position more than a date. There is no desire, except perhaps to find someone they won't hate.

The FMC especially grew on me as she spent time trying to find a match, because while she isn't thrilled with her choices, she spends her time trying to find the best in these men. But, this is also a plot where the FMC spends most of the book courting men who are not the MMC, but never really being attracted to them. She is not going towards the men, but fleeing poverty. >!Then, in the end she throws it all away to get what she wants, a chance to fuck the MMC before she goes to live her life as a servant!<

Similar to D.H. Willison Harpy series

Short summary: the book is about human that came through the dimensional portal (was tricked to) the world of Arvia, where everything is gigantic and humans count as food for most of large predators. And many of these are sentient, smart and big.

After a chance encounter with Rinloh, the ten meter tall harpy, they navigate their relationship from predator and prey to uneasy friends to best friends and more.

The setting is not gentle, world is harsh, and yet overall vibe is positive, and relationship between Darin and Rinloh, Harpy flock life and other fun things keep it happier than you'd expect.

What I am looking for in similarities:

  • Size difference or species difference that stays relevant through the book.

  • Rinloh is a predator, a harpy 10 meter tall, and humans like Darin are a part of harpy diet. All those differences always there and thoroughly explored and hever glossed over, and size difference matters.

  • Both parties grow to respect each other, and both are helpful to each other, even if there's a power difference.

  • Rinloh is stronger, faster, way more dangerous and social-wise above him, but Darin gives a lot of help with his knowledge, different outlook in life and emotional care Rinloh rarely gets in her flock.

  • Both parties trust each other and it explicitly shows in book here and there. Both parties ready to risk their lives for each other and do so as well.

  • Rinloh is a giant predator that gulps prey alive, and yet Darin lets her 'kiss' him and play with him and even if his torso in her mouth he knows she won't harm him. Rinloh goes to him with her deepest insecurities, kills for him, risks her life for him and even the thought of disappointing him makes her reconsider ever eating humans.

  • Romance is not a main thing, or at least is has excellent adventure, plot and conflicts to go through as well, that are not slapped on, skipped too fast or seem forced and there for the sake of it.

  • Size, predator-prey thing, Rinloh having troubles with her flock, the forbidden nature of relationship, laws of human city prohibiting any talk with monsters on the penalty of death if discovered, all that and many more problems in the story exist, always present and are not handwaved or easily solved.

Setting honestly doesn't matter, I'll read from barbaric times to future space opera.

Spicy moments also don't matter, as long as it's not like half the book.

Harems are okay as long as they fit the bill, so its not the '3 girls get, harem moment' but actual slow build, actual relationship thing.

Girl(s) in romance should be nonhuman, preferably more of actual nonhuman variety or if mostly kemonomimi-style then her physical \ racial \ social differences should be clearly different from human. This one is quite important, because quite often supernatural\monster romance just turns into normal romance with ears\tail slapped on.

Sorry for the long post, but I'll be damned if Harpyness is only skin deep is not exactly what I've been wanting to read for years and I very much thirst for more of the same.

More romance, less sex..

Anyone got recs like charlottes reject that is more a romance rather than 90% sex, where the fmc falls for mmc in the first damn page? I dont mind haremlit, so long as theres like a book dedicated to each fmc and they are more than just a number.

Im writing one myself, sure, but writing takes time and id love for a solid read in between.

Evil\cruel\dangerous woman, nice to MMC and him only

Kinda specific request: looking for 'you are special to me' type of thing, Evil\dangerous woman (be it physically, being mafia boss or something) is unrepentantly that. Enter MMC, and she dotes on him, and only him, for some reason.

Maybe it's love, maybe it's social thing for her race, maybe she's got code of honor that makes her treat her fiancee nicely, maybe she's so much stronger she's genuinely worries about breaking him so he has to be handled in different way.

If you have something similar, throw it in too, the main thing I'm looking for is whiplash between how girl treats others vs how she treats MMC

Strong female and vulnerable MMC, not femdom

One problem I have with vulnerable\weak MMC is that I don't like how femdom it always gets. There's a fine line between being a strong and assertive in a relationship and dominating with barely any respect for your partner and most books walk all over it (and it is a fetish\thing for people, I get it) but come on.

Looking for books where MMC is on a weaker or more vulnerable side, but girl respects him, he respects her and its more of a mutual romance, where each side overcomes hardships and changes themselves.

Plot preferable, mono-romance or small harems, if girl is a monster \ alien even better.

Looking for books or series with a protagonist who holds a position of power.

I'm basically looking for something where the protagonist holds a established position of power, such as a king, prince or lord and has responsibilities that go along with that role , that they don't avoid or shy away from.

I'm fine with any genres or settings. I'd prefer a fairly low drama romance (no cheating or breakups) that starts relatively early on. I'm fine with Harem or Mono.

Books or Series I've already read that fit are,

Son of the Hero King by Hikaru Genji, The Goblin Emperor by Kathleen Addison, Heretic Spellblade by KD Robertson.

The Winner's Curse by Marie Ruthkoski - fantasy romance

I recently found out about this sub and am a female who has been lurking here because I tend to thoroughly enjoy male authors' writing sometimes more than female authors and was looking for good recs. Well now, after reading my last book, I come bearing a rec.

Forgive me if this is not the style the majority of you are looking for, but I thought it was a gem and found myself thinking my husband would enjoy it if he liked reading. So I thought I'd share here.

The Winner's Curse is the first in a fantasy romance trilogy series. The main plot is centered around a general's daughter who purchases a male slave on impulse one day. Both MCs battle mistrust, hatred, and attraction for one another in a satisfying slow burn til it implodes in a battle of duty and honor to one's people and nation and to love. Morally grey decisions must be made on both sides, and the characters are flawed but realistically so.

It is written in third person with perspectives from both the male and female MCs but the majority is written from the female's perspective.

One bonus I thought would be appreciated is the inclusion of the war tactics and strategizing,

Admittedly the Goodreads reviews are kind of low, but I honestly have no idea why. Hopefully someone here can/will enjoy this. I haven't read the last two in the series yet, but the blurbs sound great and I'm expecting more great writing.

Are there any animes that have the same dynamic as His Secret Illuminations by Scarlett Gale?

Apologies if this is the wrong kind of question for this sub. Mods please remove if it is.

I know this book is super popular on this sub and I love it to. I was wondering if anyone knows of any anime shows that have the same dynamic and MC personalities. Namely:

  • Shy, young, inexperienced MMC
  • Happy, confident, experienced, older FMC
  • She’s bigger and stronger than him

I'm looking for urban fantasy or paranormal novels where a male human teenager falls for an older female who's some kind of supernatural being. I don't care whether it's written from the male or female character's perspective. I know it's far from the norm in the genera but I want to know what might be out there.
