Many redditors who want to play RPGs can't, simply because they can't scrounge together enough people who want to play with them. However, using the new roll20 online RPG tool, redditors can now get online and play sessions with other redditors, right from the comfort of their own home. This subreddit will be for scheduling times to play, finding people to play with, and anything else that relates to the roll20 experience.

Full time dad, part time gamer, used to play a lot of tabletop battle/skirmish games. Tried getting wife and kids to pick up D&D but they never got past character creation before losing interest. Looking for friendly group to join and learn the game.
Want to try D&D but haven't really got the chance? Having problem finding a beginner friendly reliable group? Are you a returning player that wanna get back in the game? or are you a veteran player that just want to play Lost mines?
Then come and join this game. I am an experienced DM. With years and decades of experience of D&D and other TTRPG's And i am about to start another beginner friendly introduction campaign.
The Lost Mines of Phandelver..... And beyond. is a perfect beginner campaign. It has a bit of everything. Combat, social interactions. Dungeons, exploration and more. It takes you from level 1 to 5. And a a possibility to continue past that by going into another campaign or me homebrewing something. But this we will decide together if the group wants to go on beyond Lost mines and Phandalin
I try to run games with a good mix of Roleplay, combat, social interactions, exploration and all the good things that makes a good D&D game. But i try to listen to my players if they want more of something or less of something i try to adapt. After all we are here to have fun and i will try to make the game enjoyable for all.
I also try to personalize the game for my players by adding in some elements from their backstory if possible, some personal story arc and so on
Same with the campaign i try to personalize it by changing things up a little bit ad some things, Change some things. ad or remove others. and not running it 100% by the book.
I have Run this campaign several times and have made some changes to it while still holding true to the original. I use some updated maps. and other small things to make the experience as fun and exciting as possible

We will be using Roll20 for the game and Discord for the voice.
Sessions will be about 3 hours. with a short brake in the middle.
We will be using the 2014 rules for this campaign. with some added houserules. Including free feat at character creation and some extra weapon technique options for martials. You can chose a weapon and get one of 2 techniques tied to that weapon and as a martial you will learn more as you level.
Examples
Flail:
Chain Garrote. While wielding a flail, you may attempt to grapple a creature by looping the chain of your flail around its neck. While grappled in this way, the creature cannot speak, cannot breathe, and has disadvantage on attack rolls against you. If you surprised the creature with this grapple, it cannot hold its breath and immediately begins suffocating. Creatures that you cannot grapple or do not need to breathe are unaffected by this maneuver.
Shield Snare. As an action while wielding a flail, you may make a single attack roll against a target carrying a shield or a similar defensive tool. This attack ignores any bonus to AC granted by the shield and deals normal weapon damage. If the attack hits, the target must also make a Strength saving throw. On a failure, its shield is pulled from its grip and lands at its feet.
Greatsword
Arcing Slash. When you attack with a greatsword, you may choose to target two creatures within your reach with a single attack. This attack uses the same attack roll for both targets and deals slashing damage equal to 1d6 plus your Strength modifier to each target.
Grinding Halt. Whenever you must make a Strength saving throw to avoid being moved against your will, you can dig the blade of your greatsword into the ground as a reaction. Roll 2d6 and add the number rolled to the saving throw. If the effect pushing you does not have a saving throw, you move 5 feet fewer.
Heavy Crossbow
Shrapnel Shot. As an action, make a single attack with your crossbow against an unattended object. The attack deals double damage to the target. If the object is destroyed, it explodes into a cloud of shrapnel. Choose one of the following options:
• Creatures within 5 feet of the object must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 1d6 piercing damage on a failure.
• A creature adjacent to the object must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failure, the creature is blinded until the beginning of your next turn.
Patient Shot. You carefully align your crossbow’s sights over your target. As an action in a turn that you have not moved, you may make a single crossbow attack with advantage.
Sessions will be about 3 hours. with a short brake in the middle.
I am looking for a free group to play D&D 3.x and/or PF 1e game (as a player), after 2pm CST. I am free Tuesday, Friday and every other Saturday (12/21/24 and every other Saturday after I am free). If you have any questions or want me to do a application and/or interview please let me know.

Hello everyone! I am looking for five players for a romantic, gothic horror mystery campaign with lots of roleplay, mystery solving, dungeon exploration, and some combat. This short campaign titled The Mysterious Case at Argendach Lake features an all-original story, a homebrew setting, and lots of lore to discover.
Story
The prosperous town of Argendach has been plagued by vampires and werewolves for generations. Ever since the young priest-in-training Dorian disappeared in a werewolf attack three weeks ago, things suddenly became strangely peaceful… Too peaceful, even. No more werewolf encounters. No more vampire sightings. To the villagers, it's a little too good to be true.
When the news of Dorian’s disappearance reached the village, the town’s church of Ilmater immediately forbade villagers from entering the woods to search for his body. The police declared him dead and refused to investigate the incident. Suspecting a cover-up, Dorian’s partner Meredith has sneaked out of the village by night to find out what really happened to her lover. The mayor, who happens to be Meredith’s father, has hired you to find Meredith and bring her back to town before werewolves or the Vampire King get to her first. Find out where Meredith went, what really happened to Dorian, and what dark secrets lurk at Argendach Lake!

Starting after the holidays
Under raging storm clouds, the vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich stands silhouetted against the ancient walls of Castle Ravenloft. Rumbling thunder pounds the castle spires. The wind’s howling increases as he turns his gaze down toward the village of Barovia. Far below, yet not beyond his keen eyesight, a party of adventurers has just entered his domain. Strahd’s face forms the barest hint of a smile as his dark plan unfolds. He knew they were coming, and he knows why they came; all according to his plan. A lightning flash rips through the darkness, but Strahd is gone. Only the howling of the wind fills the midnight air. The master of Castle Ravenloft is having guests for dinner—and you are invited
I am looking for players that want to be part of a long time group. Hopefully we can play our way trough more than one campaign together. But to start i want to take you all trough the darkness and mists of Barovia. The rules in my games are simple. Treat your fellow players with respect. Everyone should feel welcome
This will be a 18+ game as i will focus a bit more on the horror part of the campaign. Not for the weak of heart.
This game will put a lot of focus on gothic horror and the macabre. The terror that lurks in Barovia. A grim and dark realm where people suffer on daily basis. Where horror lurks everywhere. In the domains of dread the things that go bump in the night are real. Will the characters survive, will they be able to escape Barovia or will they be just fall like so many before them.
It will be run with emphasis on this theme of horror. With sanity rules added as facing such horror will have an impact on the character

Hey there! I’m Looking for player’s for this homebrew campaign set in the high fantasy mixed in with some grim dark and slight steam punk (slight bit of Eboron) preferably experienced players and this group is LGBTQ friendly as well! This is a 18+ only campaign as there will be some heavy topics in it. We play over on discord for voice chat and Roll20 for character sheets and maps, all official books are allowed with some slight changes and bans but I can explain more in dms, A decent enough mic is required and a stable enough internet connection to play. players from the states only due to timezones are a bit of a headache outside the USA, this game has an equal amount of combat, rp and exploration! There will be a link for the starting story plot and of course I can answer some questions as well if people are still interested.

To get a better hold of me to ask more questions about the campaign msg me over on discord at eternalfireo7. there will be a waiting list for me to go through each of you for those who wish to join. PS. This campaign will be using the 2014 5e books only as I prefer those books and I do not have any of the new books.
Hi everyone!
I’m a 24-year-old DnD player with 8 years of experience across multiple TTRPG systems, and I’m looking to join a fun, story-driven campaign. I have a love for collaborative storytelling, character development, and really immersing myself in the worlds we build together. I’m equally comfortable with roleplaying, combat, and exploring complex plotlines, and I’m always up for contributing to the group’s dynamic.
I’m not just looking to play, but to add to the group as a reliable, dedicated player who’s excited to dive into the lore, the drama, and the epic moments that make DnD unforgettable. I’ve played in various settings and love adapting to different worlds, whether it’s high fantasy, urban fantasy, or something else entirely. I also understand the importance of respecting everyone’s time and making sessions a great experience for everyone involved.
If you’re looking for a team player who’s passionate about storytelling and character development, I’d love to chat and see if I’d be a good fit for your campaign!
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need more info!

Those players who sign on will be given the opportunity to have their characters rendered in beautiful detail. The cost also covers a movie-poster style illustration of the campaign! Do you have what it takes to survive the surface after generations spent below? In Mutant Year Zero, you play as part of the People, mutants and survivors living in an underground bunker. The supplies are gone, the Elder is frail, and now you face the unthinkable: returning to the ruined world above to carve out a new beginning.
The surface is a deadly wasteland of Rot, savage beasts, and the forgotten remnants of the Old Age. But it also holds the key to survival. Food, water, knowledge, and perhaps you can even create Eden, the fabled haven of the Ancients. Together, you’ll lead expeditions into the unknown, scavenge for vital resources, and fight to protect the People. Build the Ark into a thriving settlement or watch it crumble under the weight of starvation, infighting, and external threats.
Start from zero, face the wasteland’s unforgiving hardships, and rebuild a broken world. The future is uncertain, and the odds are stacked against you, but surely you can make a difference.

Hello Adventurers,
We have 4 players and looking for 1 more to join our second long term campaign. The first lasted four years and this one has been ongoing for 2 years. The details for the game will be listed bellow. Your character will be level 7.
Time: We play every Saturday night between 6pm to Midnight EST. The campaign will last another 3-4 months at which point we will begin The rise of Tiamat module (Campaign 3). Please apply only if you're confident that no upcoming commitments, such as starting school or a new job, will interfere with your ability to participate in the game.
Location: We are playing on roll20. We will be talking on discord (a mic is needed).
Restrictions: We are looking for players 18+ years old. The game is usually around 50% combat 50% RP. No anti party members, mixmax or Insane characters. Some feats like lucky are not allowed. No flying characters. Playing from DnD Beyond is not allowed. Character artwork must match the game's artwork. No vaping or getting drunk during games.
What You Can Expect:
Setting: The campaign is 5e and called Hoard of the Dragon Queen. I have created a homebrew world called Myria where we play out modules and mold them into this world. This world has been evolving and changing based on previous campaigns and player actions over the last 6 years.
Story:
When the Golden Drakes removed the magical barrier separating Westonia from Eastonia, dragons and other mysterious creatures that had been slumbering for centuries awoke.
The change in power created by the Zentharim conquering the neutral zone and forming the new Zolarian Dynasty created a safe haven for cultists and criminals to thrive and expand their reach across the continent. As rumors of dragons started spreading across the lands, an old cult of dragon worshiping individuals reemerged from hiding. Exploiting the panic of the local populace and creating civil unrest. Their numbers grow alarmingly bigger by the day.
Leaders of the 4 major kingdoms begin receiving reports of numerous towns being ransacked of their valuables and people disappearing. With the creation of a new dictatorial empire, rumors of sightings of dragons and cultists spreading like wildfire, and the concern that the dragons natural born enemies (giants) are now out of the way, tensions are now at an all time high. In anticipation of conflict, world leaders prepare their already weakened military.
You've been hired to investigate and validate or quell rumors concerning the reports of mysterious looking creatures ransacking outlaying villages and dragon sightings. If you have read this far please write Mixman in the question that asks you for a cool goblin name. Those that do not write this will not be considered for the game. thank you.
Please fill out the link bellow and answer the questions to join our campaign:

Welcome to Chaos Survival Mode - A DnD rogue-like for 6th level characters
This game mode was designed for parties who enjoy 5e combat tactics and would enjoy trying various character builds and magic item combinations in a fast-paced and often unpredictable context.
A Chaos Survival run is best suited for one-time sessions for trying out different character builds, or for having a break from the main story line by doing this challenge run with characters from a campaign, or simply for enjoying a one-off 5e combat session with no lasting consequences on your character.
Full rules are found in the game pdf i will share when you join.
---
Suggestions!
Of course you are welcome to play however you want, but this game mode plays a bit differently than your standard games. From our experience so far, this game mode is very heavy with monsters, and the action economy is against you. Characters with lots of actions and AOE seem to do the best. The traditional tank and healer roles seem much less important
---
A party of 6th level characters faces several stages where waves of enemies attack them in constantly changing arenas. Their goal: surviving as many stages as they can.
Each stage is made out of two phases: the Wave and the Camp. Every third stage is called a Major Stage, usually featuring more powerful monsters and rarer treasure.

-Specializes in horror-themed campaigns but can run games in other genres as well
