Visiting from Kansas City….Why is it so hard on Sunday to get liquor in Roger’s/Bentonville? Anyone want to deliver for a tip?
any reccos for a biz that can do a last minute christmas light install?
Have a group of 3 couples coming to town staying out at Beaver lake this upcoming weekend. What fun/exciting things are there going on? We range from 40-45 & enjoy anything from arts to museums to wineries/breweries. Have been to Crystal bridges a few years back.
Wanting to watch the fight with some friends and maybe grab dinner & drinks.
I can have a tornado rip apart a neighborhood 0.5 miles away from me and the power not even flicker, then on a calm and quiet Sunday morning it goes down.
Also, is it just me, or has the power and internet been going down more recently? Not enjoying this trend. I'm worried that service providers will get more lax.
I have a crazy idea and want to know what you guys think about it.
As you know, we lost a lot of trees in the May 26th storm. This has made the city hotter during hot months, and it will feel colder during cold months. It's made things more depressing in so many ways.
What if we had a community driven campaign to plant more trees in public spaces? Rogers residents could pick a spot and plant a tree and oversee the growth of that tree. This would not only increase canopy, but also foster community and increase foot traffic in that space. Folks who plant trees will want to make sure the tree does well, so they'll come back to check on it and maybe water it. They'll bring their family and friends to that spot to brag about their tree. This also means less work for the city in park maintenance, as they don't have to care as much for the trees.
There would have to be some nuances worked out, for sure. The city would have to pick out and organize spots where residents could plant, how many spots they can pick, what tree types they can plant, how they can and can't maintain their tree, etc. That can all be worked out, and education can be provided to residents on how to properly plant a tree.
What do you think? Good idea, or nah?
Hoping they release a more detailed tornado path once the NWS finalizes their investigation.
Batters up.
My kids were not happy about this last storm, I hope everyone was safe and made it out okay. I heard there was some damage across the area, downtown Rogers didn't seem to get as bad this time.
Hi I just moved to Rogers, AR. I’m still waiting for my paperwork. But it would be really good to make some money. Can someone recommend me something in DM? You know if you know…
I guess he’s got a technical out since he was an elected R justice of the peace before, but it’s still shady
Did Lucy's Diner close? Anyone know when and why? Had some good meals there...
I want to practice playing my instrument in a place that’s not my house or my neighborhood. I’m not good by any means. I also don’t want to spend money on a recording studio. I was thinking about doing Mt Hebron Park. Like where this image is taken, but I’m worried that it would bother the people in the neighborhoods close to Mt Hebron and the people that are there at Mt. Hebron. I plan to follow the city ordinance. Do you have any better locations? Please let me know. Thanks.
