Anyone live in this community? Considering living there. How is it for kids, shopping, safety, traffic etc?
We are moving there in March and I hear traffic is bad to Dallas, but is it bad to Greenville as well?
Ex-Cowboys #56 was signing autographs at Big Walmart on I-30. Not sure how much longer he’s there.
Keep a lookout please - NYN0488
I can’t go to a primary care doctor I’ve call all the ones around me and they said no because they don’t prescribe the medication.
Here is a photo of Lake Ray Hubbard at SH 66 facing Rowlett with Dalrock Rd at the top. You can see the original SH 66 bridge to the right of the photo. The original SH 66 bridge sloped down towards the bottom and leveled out at the bottom in the middle of the lake as tge bridge was built in the 1930s before the lake. You used to walk on the original bridge right up to the early 2000s right after the new bridges was constructed. During the 2011 drought, you could have seen parts of the original road on Rockwall side by the boat ramps at that park by the 7-11.
I am not sure what happened to the marina or how long it lasted. But you still see the jetty today.
Where to buy raw cows milk in Rockwall?
My wife and I have been visiting the Rockwall area, and have absolutely fallen in love with it. We took the chance to look at some houses while we are down here and found a few that we really like. The only thing holding up the process now, is me finding work down here.
I have roughly 6 years of experience in customer service and inside sales. Would love to continue that line of work, and I am looking for really anything to get me started down here. Would love any leads or suggestions that anyone might have!
Just moved here from up north. I've been using huntington bank for a decade but they dont have a footprint here. Whats your preference for a good local bank? Not worried about loans or anything crazy. Just good local presence with a good online banking setup.
We had a salesman knock on our door yesterday and tell us about AT&T fiber being available in our neighborhood now and try to get us to switch over. We didn’t sign up.
Does anyone have AT&T fiber and have feedback about it?
We’re in North Rockwall.
Posted a parody video like it’s a documentary on her page.
So I’m out in the country and I’m throwing in the towel with local drs/medical groups. Rockwall is nearest “city” to me.
Can anyone recommend a good PCP and/or rheumatologist? 🙏
I am a single stay at home dad. I have a final decree for divorce that needs to be made. I have no finances to pay. I don’t understand my rights or what I need to do. We have an agreement that needs so all I need is someone to draw up the final decree.
Hi! I'm not really pleased with the current vet I've been going to for the past three years (Rowlett Animal Hospital). They never seem to take me seriously when I tell them my cat is aggressive and will bite. It's the same story every year. I tell the front office, they don't note it on his chart, the doctor calls and acts surprised when they get bit. What else is a girl to do??? So, give me your recs for a vet that will take someone seriously when they say they have an aggressive animal. Also, wait times less than an hour is a plus ✔️
So everyone on Rockwallian is getting upset at this. What’s the issue? I feel these people are insane. It’s pretty obvious what they’re referring to when they mention no to the apts but don’t mention Ikea. I want this here. Brings more jobs, better roads, and more people to the area. It’s just a good idea. I’m going to the meeting to counter these people.
I found this neat video from the NBC 5 News Archives about a story about Texas DPS using CBs to catch speeders along IH 30. They have footage driving along the original IH 30 bridges and up to the old Dalrock exit.

Since my last photo of the map got a lot of attention. I figured I’d share this with newer residents. This film was primarily filmed in Rockwall at the airport that’s still there. Directed by Ron Howard staring Howard Hesseman and Bette Davis. Every little shop on the square used to sell this movie. Lots of good aerial views of the surrounding area. Downtown Rockwall and Old Rockwall High play prominently. Full movie link in the comments.
We are an interracial family. I am Asian and my husband is Hispanic. We are transitioning out of the military and will be accepting an engineering position in Rockwall. I have a toddler and I’m pregnant. I don’t mean to sound ignorant, but I am just scared for my kids as I read a lot about racism and crazy maga supporters. We are actually republican ourselves. I worry about my kids being bullied in school because of his skin color. I also take my kid out to the local libraries everyday for storytime. I want to keep taking him because he learns so much, thrives around other kids and just has fun. Are there such things in Rockwall? What are the best preschools? Does anyone have any experience as a non-Caucasian living in Rockwall? Please no judgement, I am just a worried mom
Is anyone familiar with Securus in Rockwall County? I scheduled a video visit and I'm worried the inmate won't know. Do the CO's tell them?
If you know anyone in the Rockwall independent school district, consider directing them to this, especially students and parents.
Hey all, so my wife and I have been pondering a move to the Rockwall area (coming from SW Michigan). I am curious about the job market down there? I am in a inside sales/account management role right now. And my wife has quite a lot of experience in the food prep industry and in house cleaning. What is anyone’s tips or info on the availability of work for those without degrees in that area?
Housing market seems reasonable, so that doesn’t seem to be a huge issue. Would love any feedback anyone has! Thanks!
8/4 UPDATE: Incident Map is fixed now
Do you know why the RPD Incident Map returns no data since May 15th? You can get to it from RPD webpage under Online Tools> Incident Map.
I emailed RPD and they said that didn't know about this issue and passed the info to their IT, just strange that no one reported this for more that 2 months.
I live in Royse city and just wondering how I can find out what new businesses are coming to the area(rockwall, fate and Royse city) thanks for the help
Hello! My wife and I are looking into the Rockwall area as a potential candidate to move to in the near future. We were looking at condos in the Rockwall area and one caught our eye at Signal Ridge condos. I plan on reaching out to a realtor at some point but before I do so, I wanted to try and get some scoop on the association to make sure there are no debt issues or massive issues that I'm going to get tied up into.
Then I found on Facebook a group named "Signal Ridge Rockwall Home Owners LA Collab" created within the last 30 days with a description of "This is a "working" group to address the Loss Assessment issue we are currently dealing with. The purpose of this group is not to point fingers or look for someone to blame but to come together as a community to find solutions"
I don't know what that means, but if anyone has the scoop on Signal Ridge I would greatly appreciate it!
