Feeling meh about the Lancers

The Rochester Lancers Front Office goes into a funny little silence between the indoor and outdoor seasons and it only bothers me for Rochester Soccer b/c on the scale of NPSL these days they're going nowhere. The organization seems content to be a hokey Boomer's fancy club instead of a truly transformative product in today's Lower League Soccer landscape. They play music during play to "get the kids interested in soccer" and openly run an ad about hating soccer while Detroit, Chattanooga and the Cosmos are blazing a new trails! FC Buffalo is organizing friendlies and putting out special 2019 merch like a club with aspirations while the Lancers are just... here.

I'll be at every Lancers game I can attend this season but I'm not exactly hyped about this club anymore. I'm just meh on them I guess.

Amazing season

Great first season at the Dome in MASL2. Finished better than expected. Made it to national Final 4, lost in OT in semis, and took home 3rd place trophy! Looking forward to upcoming outdoor season this May.

2019 Outdoor Schedule

Schedule just released earlier today. Looks like all the home games are Sundays at 5pm. Hoping they add some friendlies as well.

Supporters, away game viewings?

Would anyone be interested in meeting up for away matches for the upcoming outdoor season? I have a bar venue lined up, willing to show matches and have drink specials on Lancer Lagers.

Indoor success

Trying to generate more discussion here. Indoor seems to be enjoying success on and off the field. Sold out every home game this winter. Will they play in the Dome next year? If so, will they look to add more seats? Ive really enjoyed the games this year, and play to attend this outdoor season.

Tickets gone, sold out?

Second Saturday night game I’ve tried to go to and it’s sold out. Last time they had standing room only tickets last min, and I grabbed one. The ticket rep tells me they aren’t doing that this time. Is the game really sold out? Holding seats for “season ticket holders”? Just curious. Any inside info?

New Venue, The Dome

Went to my first Lancers indoor game this past Saturday. Overall, I was pretty impressed. Its honestly the perfect size for that sort of setup. The game was sold out, and the fans seemed really into the game. Felt packed, rather than empty like the days in Blue Cross. I also really liked the 'dome lights' over the pitch. Clean, full bar upstairs, lots of vendor tents, activities for the kids. While I found the DJ/music kinda cheezy, I understand why they do it. Great event for families, or a friends night out. I plan to go back. Oh, and Lancer Lager was quite nice as well. I just hope they are making some profit so they can keep this going. With the absence of the Rhinos, the Lancers fulfill my soccer void.
