A better ending?

. So, like everyone else, I really didnt care for the last few season. If I had the reigns, this is what I would have done. This is very condensed, so that you won't have to take forever reading it.

I think that Jaime should have killed Cersei, then fled north taking a good portion of the goldcloaks with him.

They fight at winterfell, but are defeated. They have to fight a rearguard action all the way to Kings Landing.

The city and surrounding areas are completely abandoned.

They make their way to the red keep, preparing to fight the final losing battle.

They find Qyburn in the throne room. Alone.

He tells them that in order to keep the realm safe, he decided to perform the same experiments on Cersei as he did on Ser Gregor.

Only, this time, He has more success. He has turned Cesei into an Other. She raised the dead and infected the surrounding area, turning the people into a completely different army of the dead.

The heroes are caught in a desperate situation.

It's a trap. The dead boil into the throne room attacking the heroes. The dragons attack the walls, knocking them down. This give the heroes a way out.

Only, outside, they are met by the Night Kings army. Battle ensues. John has a one on one with the Night's King.

He is stabbed and mortally wounded. As he is dying, he stabs and kills the Night's King.

All the wights die, except for Cersei's. The heroes turn towards Cersei. An ice crown has formed on her brow, proclaiming her the Night's Queen.

She raises her arms and raises all the dead that was under control of the Night's King. But it is too much for her. She has used all of her power. She is weakened.

Viserion, slams into the throne room, and bears her off. To heal and be restored. It will take thousands of years before she awakes, ready to consolidate her control and power.

The dragons, Rhaegal and Drogon, keep the reanimated wights at bay, while she has her final moments with Jon.

"Jon" she pleads. "I don't know what to do."

"Burn it all, my love. You must eradicate the dead. Root and stem. Promise me, Dany. Burn them all. Burn it all. Burn..." Jon's voice fades in death.

Dany wails. She is mad with grief. "I will, my King." She cries.

She climbs on drogon. She is flame incarnate. The wights wither under dragon fire. She burns all of the city, bringing down every building, on top of the wights, while Rhaegal and the heroes wait inside the red keep. When it is safe to do so, they flee the city and Dany burns the red keep down also.

They make Highgarden the new seat of power in westeros. Drogon and Rhaegal mate. More and more dragons are born. Dany never marries. Before she dies, she nominates the new king.

The Dragons bear her away.

Bran goes to the citadel and takes over oldtown. He retrains the maesters by warging his experiences into their minds. They become the keepers of history and with brans knowledge, they are able to help all tge peoples everywhere step into a new enlightened age.

Tell me what you think?

Theory On Hodor from Game of thrones

So I’ve just watched Hold the door and I noticed something, when the white walkers are on the way the three eyed raven said time to get you ready then they both get warging into winterfell where nothing important is happening . No great lesson to teach Bran or no letting him Free so he can escape. He’s trapped in this time vision. When he can hear”We are all going to die Bran” “Warg into Hodor” he does yet is still linked to the three eyed Raven I think the three eyed Raven warged into Bran it was the only escape from the tree roots and because Bran has to stay in Hodor to keep the door closed he dies inside Hodor while the three eyed raven escapes hence the immediate personality change next time you see him.

Game Of Thrones Depression

Zero idea if this message will get any attention now that it’s been 3 years since the end of game of thrones, but who cares. I first finished watching game of thrones in 2019 after the finale and once I finished I felt this hole in my that I couldn’t explain, I eventually got over it after a couple weeks, but I made the big mistake of rewatching this amazing show again. I finished in a couple of months but now that I have ended the long journey again I feel empty. I don’t know if it’s the unsatisfying ending, or if I miss the fantasy aspect and how awesome it is, if my life is just boring and I wish it were different, or if it’s the end of this amazing show and now I have nothing to watch, I really don’t know. Does anyone else have this issue with tv shows where they get really attached? Let me know, id love to talk.

Game of Thrones: Journey of the Sea Wolf

First off, if some how this becomes a project. It should be done in an animated format by Bardel Entrainment the same company that has done Dragon Prince and all the Avatar the last airbender shows. This show will be just as adult as the original series. Get all the characters to reprise their roles as voice actors.

Arya Stark is seen in the captain's quarters looking over a map of the known world. A member of the crew comes in informing her that there two ships up ahead flying the sigil of House Greyjoy. " Pull up alongside "Arya "YES CAPTAIN " Crew " All crew ready wepons, we don't know if their friends or foes." Arya Within minutes the Nymeria sails up beside the unknown Greyjoy ship ready for a fight. To find the entire crew dead on the deck. After completing a check above deck they made their way below deck where they found men and women from Queen Daenerys I Targaryen army twenty in all, five Dothraki, ten Unsullied, three Greyjoys, and two badly beaten Dorne wemon that looked two thirds of the way dead. One unable to talk from a damaged thought the other lost a lit of blood and has what looks like a hole all the way through her abdomen. There is no way either should be alive but they are. "Hey get some food and a healer down here we got survivors." Arya "Aye Captain " crewmembers 1and3 "Seend some men in a long boat an check the other ship." Arya "Yes Captain" crewmembers 2and4 .....

Can Game of Thrones fans helps to keep Game of Thrones tourism alive

Hello my name is Nicole and I am a student at Ulster University in Northern Ireland who is currently doing my master dissertation in International Tourism and Hospitality Management. I have chosen to look at film tourism focusing on Game of Thrones. In order to help and understand this tourism and answer the question I am looking to you the fans of the show for help to carry out this research. Its very important to get the opinion of the fans to help and find out how much of an impression Game of Thrones has made on people and also how much of an impression Northern Ireland has made being the show's home. If you wouldn't mind taking a few minutes to fill the survey out I would very much appreciate it. All responses will be anonymous. Thank you.

Characters that would die and characters I would save in my version

Theon would still did as will Jorah and the little Mormont girl tragically Cersei would also still die. A new death I would add on is Jon’s tragic death wich I think a lot of fans agree with. Dayneres would not die however and would become the ruler

First Chapter "A Dream of Spring"

Dany 1

Dany toyed with the sand between her toes. While it might have looked odd to the Unsullied next to her, touching Westerosi soil for the first time with her feet was something she had looked forward to, something that took her mind off from the slaughter yet to come. She let her gaze wonder upwards how her children circled and examined their new home many miles above the common ground. Behind them though was something else, something dangerously large, burning with the heat of a thousand firedrakes. The red comet came closer everyday, she had realized, seen it in her dreams. One hour later Dany was dead and all of Westeros and Essos with all the kings and queens and thrones and castles and walkers and wildlings.

Let our eye wander now to the planet of Gzzrbogrg. Ronald didn't understand. Just few seconds before he had prepared again for the meeting with Michail Gorbachev and now he looked across this strange red desert under a violet sky. Something big and white came closer. Fast. Ronald drew his .45 Colt and fired two shots. The thing didn't seem faced at all. Mere feet from him it came to a halt - a giant man all white and nude to the bone. "Finally, the Chosen has arrived. My name is Frudnr, chief of the Sapphire Giants. Our rivals of the Emerald-Tribe have stolen the core of the planet. We need your help!"

"Let's tear down some walls!" smiled Ronald. This day was about to get interesting.

My own ideas

After doing some brainstorming, I’ve come up with my own basic plot line for Season 8. I made a previous post on r/freefolk about it, which I’ll link here, but this list is more refined.

I’ll start out by saying this entire season will be ten episodes, each at an hour’s length. Episodes 1 and 2 are okay for the most part, but given the hour and a half length of them, I’ll split them into three separate episodes.

A few scenes I’ll add to episodes 1-3

-After Jaime apologizes to Bran, he goes to apologize to Dany for killing her father and offer her his undying loyalty. At first she considers executing him, but then when she sees how genuinely penitent he is, she decides to spare him, but still keeps him at an arm’s length.

-Instead of the medieval Mean Girls cat fight we got between Dany and Sansa, it’s better that the two do initially distrust one another, then soon end up liking one another.

-I’ll also build up the romance between Jon and Dany much more. When they’re not in uniform trying to command their armies, they’re off in private just talking about each other. They both talk about where they got their scars, Jon talks about Ygritte and Dany talks about Khal Drogo and their unborn child.

-Jon also introduces Dany to his faithful dire wolf Ghost. Ghost is scared of Dany at first, since she’s covered in the scent of dragons, then soon starts liking her after he gets used to the smell.

-Dany is pregnant with Jon’s child.

-The last scene of episode 3 is the Night King arriving at Winterfell with a small guard, which includes zombie Hodor. He says that he wishes to meet with the leaders to negotiate the terms of the coming war. (Also, in this version, the Night King can speak. He’s voiced by Michael Ansara.) He negotiates them with Dany, Jon, and Tyrion. The stakes they make out are simple: if our heroes win, the Night King will pull his forces behind whatever’s left of the wall and never set foot outside of it again. If the Night King wins, the people have two choices: join his ranks, or flee Westeros.

Episode 4 is the long night, which lasts the entire episode. The first ten minutes involve everyone scrambling to their posts. The battle plan is simple: the Starks place their archers along the walls, with two Dothraki swordsmen with dragon glass weapons posted between every archer in case any forces get onto the wall. The Unsullied are posted to guard every entrance into the city, and watchmen are posted on every crypt and graveyard should the Night King raise the dead. Bran has warged into any nearby wild animals to form a natural defense. Dany is flying overhead with Drogon and Rhaegal, and makes sure to keep close to the main city in case anyone has any well-placed ice spears. The women and children are placed into any safe houses, and horses are kept in close quarters in case there is ever need of an evacuation.

The battle begins ten minutes later when the Night King pulls up with the full force of the White Walkers and the wights behind him. He starts by sending in the ice spiders to draw some ladders up the wall. At first, the Dothraki screamers just hack them to pieces then push the ladders down easily. Soon, they are overwhelmed, and the spiders manage to pull the ladders up.

As the Dothraki screamers prepare to battle the wights, Mellisandre casts a spell which lights the dragon glass swords on fire. They easily cut through the undead, but face larger challenges when the White Walkers approach.

Daenerys burns as many of the upside armies possible, then soon faces the Night King on zombie Viserys. Drogon and Rhaegal are upset at seeing their dead brother, and are forced to battle him. The second Dance of Dragons begins.

Drogon and Rhaegal manage to ground Viserys, but don’t have the heart to kill him. The Night Long escapes, and continues his advance on foot.

Giant wights, along with zombie polar bears, are sent to break down the city gates. Bran uses the animals as best as he can to stop their assault, but the giants are too tough to be taken down, and they break down the front gate.

As the Night King enters the city followed closely by zombie Hodor and several other White Walkers, he sees Jon and Greyworm.

“Azor Ahai! We meet again,” he greets him, then motions for zombie Hodor to kill Greyworm. While they struggle, Jon and the Night King begin their sword fight. They both end up taking chunks out of each other. The Night King has several deep gashes in his shoulders, and Jon looses the tips of several fingers on his left hand. Arya is seen creeping over the rooftops watching the battle.

“I guess you weren’t all what the prophecy sad you would be,” the Night King chuckled as he raised his sword to slay Jon. Before the blade could fall, however, Arya leaps down from the rooftop with a knife ready to stab him. The Night King effortlessly catches Arya by the wrist and dangles her so they’re at eye level.

Arya drops the knife into her other hand to stab the Night King, but he simply drops his sword then catches the knife before she can, leaving her defenseless.

“It’s a finely crafted blade,” the Night King remarks as he brings it back, then quickly slices Arya’s arm off below the elbow. “Cuts nicely too.”

He tosses the dagger aside then picks his sword back up. As he goes to bring the sword down on Arya, Jon blocks it, but struggles to keep his sword up as his grip is slippery with blood and he’s missing several fingers.

They fight again, this time Jon is aided by Greyworm, who defeated zombie Hodor. The Hound slips in and takes wounded Arya to safety. Eventually, after the fight escalates, Dany flies in on Drogon, closely followed by Rhaegal.

“Dracarys! Quick! ” Jon yells without thinking, pointing at the Night King. Dany goes to relay his command, but before she can say a word, Drogon and Rhaegal burn the spot the Night King is standing in. As the flames clear, the Night King stands unharmed. He seems just as surprised as everyone else that he’s immune to dragon fire, but Dany is surprised that Jon could control the dragons.

Panic ensues among our heroes as, one by one, the ice giants break down the rest of the entrances and the wights flood the city. Winterfell is lost.

Our heroes are just lucky there was no major attack from the rear, giving them time to clear out the civilians and the surviving soldiers.

Episodes 5-8 chronicle their fleeing south as winter follows closely behind. They barricade themselves in whatever cities are available, but given how crude their defenses are, as they are short on time, the Night King pushes through them. Each time they leave another city, they have to take more survivors with them.

Around episode 6, Dany suggests that they move the survivors to Essos. A few of the Dothraki chieftains who are there support this as they are excited to return home, but others aren’t as they don’t want Essos to become overcrowded by the Westeros refugees. Eventually, they give way, and the council decides to move the survivors to Essos.

Another scene I’ll add is Dany going to the makeshift hospital to visit Arya. She pretty much fangirls over Dany the whole time, then Dany promises that once they arrive in Essos, she’ll have the smithies there build her a new arm, possible carved from dragon glass.

Episode 9 begins with our survivors on the front gates of a geographically correct King’s Landing. Tyrion is sent to negotiate with Cersei. He warns her that the Night King is coming and that they have to move the survivors to Essos as soon as possible. Cersei relents, saying the Night King will fail against we defenses, and orders the people to leave.

To show the people she isn’t kidding, she orders a warning shot fired into the crowd. Sadly, Missandei is the one who was shot, and she died almost instantly. Dany vows revenge, but knows that the people must come first.

Eventually, Bran suggests that they attack the city and move the people out before the Night King arrives. They hastily put together a plan, and move to attack the city.

Drogon and Rhaegal are sent to burn the wall defenses specifically the scorpions, then the gates. This will allow the armies to move in and begin the evacuation. Then Dany will fly over to the docks with Jaime and give the Iron Fleet an ultimatum: help us get the people out of Westeros, or get out of our way. Most of the Golden Company there decides to side with Jaime, but a few squadrons try to kill them. They are effortlessly burned by Rhaegal.

The Golden Company, this time with elephants, moves to prepare the ships for takeoff, and more of them move into the city to aid the evacuation.

The final scene of the episode is Dany and the fleet setting sail with all of the survivors. Dany looks back longingly at the throne she is forced to abandon. Jon assures her that they will be back to reclaim it one day. As she goes to the helm of the ship, she realizes that Tyrion is gone. After asking around, she learns that Jaime and Brienne are gone as well.

Episode 10 begins with the Night King, sitting on to of zombie Viserys, watching the fleet depart. He chuckled to himself, then takes off to begin burning down King’s Landing with ice fire. Cersei watches the chaos from her window.

Jaime and Brienne are sprinting through the halls of the Red Keep, when they run into Euron. Brienne holds him off while Jaime continues to Cersei.

He goes to Cersei and begs her to come with them to Essos while there’s still a chance. She tries to kill him instead, and he is forced to kill her. He briefly mourns for her, then goes to leave with Brienne. As he’s going out, however, he sees a crib in the corner of the room. He looks in and sees him and Cersei’s child, sleeping peacefully despite the chaos. He slowly picks her up and carries her outside. As gems leaving, we see him pass by Brienne, who is missing a chunk of her left foot, but alive. Euron’s corpse is next to her, wit his guys spilled all over the floor. Jaime gives the baby to Brienne, then carries them both outside to where Tyrion is waiting with a boat.

Dany is sitting next to Bran, who has just informed her of what happened between Jaime and Cersei, and Brienne and Euron, and that he, Tyrion, an injured Brienne, and a baby are on a boat to join the rest of the fleet.

As the three sail away, they watch behind them as the Night King uses zombie Viserys to destroy the Red Keep. Dany and the others watch the explosion happen from a distance.

“Well so much for revenge,” Dany wittily thinks to herself, trying to comfort herself, but only finds herself sadder as she begins to weep. Ghost comes up beside her and tries to comfort her, then Sansa, and then Jon.

The final scene is the Night King entering the ruins of the Red Keep, where the Iron Throne still sits intact. It’s snowing heavily all round him, and the atmosphere is eerily similar to Dany’s vision. He approaches the throne, and lays a hand on the armrest.

“Hello, old friend,” he says contently, then sits down.

Winter has come to Werteros. The Night King has won.

Season 9 will take place 5 years into the future, and chronicle Jon and Daenerys working together to reclaim the throne.

Here.

The retarded wight hunt doesn't happen. Instead, Sam blows the Horn of Winter when at Oldtown (The horn he found at the fist of the first men). It causes the wall to fall.

The AotD marches on Winterfell. The main cast there makes actual battle preparations.

Battle preparations fail. In the battle for Winterfell, every main character except for Jon, Bran, Dany, Jaime, and Arya dies.

They fly to Kings Landing. Cersei pretends to welcome them in, then arrests them and throws them all in cells, except for Dany who escapes on Drogon. All 3 of her dragons are still alive.

The AotD arrives at KL. Cersei has a plan, but we don't know what it is.

Dany is burning the AotD outside KL. Cersei leaves the gates open, and the AotD overruns the city.

Dany flies the the Red Kep, and during the confusion attempts to free the prisoners. She's only able to free Jaime, and is then taken captive herself.

Jaime goes to kill Cersei. When he gets to the throne room, Cersei is telling Qyburn to "Burn them all." He has flashbacks to killing Aerys. He kills Qyburn before he's able to give any orders, and then strangles Cersei. The Mountain runs him through, and Cersei and Jaime die in each other's arms.

The AotD is still overrunning the city. Dany's 3 dragons are still all alive. They are attempting to burn the dead, when their fire triggers the wildfire caches. They explode, and everyone in KL dies, and the dragons are knocked out of the sky and killed by the impact.

We see the city burning and the corpses of all the characters. From the rubble of Kings Landing, we see the Night King walk away, smiling.

The end.

My plot fixed

Firstly, dany used 3 dragons to attack Jamie at kingsroad. Also the wight hunt beyond the wall never happened. Instead, Jon decides to make a stand at the wall and leaves dragonstone the same way he did at 7x05. Jorah goes with him to fight for his house and see what’s true and what’s not for dany. Once they arrive at the wall Jon sends a raven to Sansa to send the northmen at eastwatch but she sends the knights of the vale instead. Jorah sees that every creature beyond the wall (birds, fishes ) are all wights and after a conversation with beric and thoros of myr he realizes the significance of the threat. So he sends dany a raven. Jon sent raven to castle black for more men. He talks to everyone about dany and her dragon as their only hope but most of them look afraid of the dragons and they make a parallel between dany as fire and nk as ice both very dangerous. After a week the battle for the wall starts. Jon and his squad with an knights of the vale pass the gate with purpose to kill ww but they end up like they did in frozen lake. Royce dies. They understand that if u kill nk everyone will be dead. Dany appears after Jorahs letter and viserion dies. Ww and nk turn back and the living have a temporary win. They capture some wights that get pass the wall into the keep and they decide to sail south to show cercei and ask from Tyrion back to dragonstone to manage the meeting. Jon escapes with the help of uncle Ben but he rides Rhaegal instead of a horse as the only way to survive. Dany have a dialogue with him after she mourns for viserion and telling him that is very strange that he rode Rhaegal bc only Valyrian blood can ride dragons. He tells her about maester Aemon. Season has 10 eps. Sansa asking for the whole north to retreat at Winterfell, sending young Ned to bring his people and inform her uncle in the riverlands that she need his help for the upcoming battle. Tyrion meets with Jamie and they agree for the dragonpit meeting. Nk turns Viserion. No foreshadowing for pregnant dany but showing how much she loves her dragons. More dialogue between the characters in time of the traveling. ending is the same as does the whole ep of 7x07 plus Davos finds Gendry. Bron decides to go with tyrion .

Now the last season. Ep 1. Queens Arrival. the same but Tormund rides with the survivors of the eastwatch after nks attack to castle black to inform the others. Many refuse to leave bc they gave an oath but Edd goes and they see from away the dragon attacking the castle black.

Ep 2. Winterfell. starts the same way but until Theons arrival. we have a scene with dany and Arya , a scene with dany and gost , and one with Sansa talking about the fact that her uncle won’t join them . Cercei scene where she decide to send the half of the golden company with the elephants to the north to create massive chaos. Also she asks quiburn about what hound said to the mountain in dragonspit and they talk about wildfire too . Snowing in kl. Sansa and the hound scene in this ep. Dany making gendry lord in this ep. last scene nk inside neds umber castle with wights killing everyone. Ned makes an attempt to stab him in the back with dragon glass but he fails ending up to serve him. Ep 3. A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms. Tormund and the others arrive in winterfell and the things happen like they did in real ep 2 but cercei has the miscarriage and in the war counsil, Bran tells everyone that nk was made by cotf to kill human and that’s what hes doing . Nk was a man that never wanted this but he is cursed to kill . That make his ultimate goal an endless night but also to kill the three eyed raven as a revenge bc he gave the cotf the ability to curse them . When they ask him how he can be killed he says that he doesn’t know and that the last time he rode south he was only eliminated beyond the wall. Ep3 end with the ending of the real ep2. Ep4. The Long Night. The battle of winterfell .it’s much bigger and climatic. +direwolves, bran uses his powers, wight hodor, ww fighting, ice spiders, Sam in the crypts, more red priests, flamethrowers inside the castle , wight animals, but it ends after dany tries to burn the nk and nk ressurects everyone. Ep5. The Battle of Winterfell. half of golden company arrives making a good stand. They kill Viserion with their New weapon. Arya try to kill nk with the dagger as she did but the dagger shatters and Melisandre becomes a sacrifice to allow her to escape with bran. The people of the crypts escape from a secret passageway . Kinvara tells Jon “there is power in the kings Blood” and give him a chance to flee with the renaming army . Dany after crying above Jorah she understands that she has to leave this place so she rides drogon away. Edd, Lyanna , Theon the way they died Tormund dies against a wight bear, Beric by a ww, Jamie dies by a ww and he ends up in Briennes hug, pod dies by wights, karstark girl by protecting bran , Gilly n Lil Sam die by wights, Rhaegal by the fall after the battle for the skies ,Bron to save tyrion and missandei in the crypts protecting children.

Ep6. The Last of The Starks. After the battle Danys army goes back to dragonstone and it is very small (some Dothrakis and some Unsullied) uncapable to fight alone against cercei. Dany cuts her braid to show her sadness for her lost dothraki horde and her personal defeat. The remaining of those who fought in Winterfell golden company tells to dany that cercei hadn’t inform them for the army of the dead but they can’t fight against her bc of their oath and the leave . Dany talks with greyworm about missandei. Jon and his northern army with the people of the crypts and Arya with bran go first from the riverlands and edmure decides to follow them south . Jon asks if Davos would know anything about kings blood power and Davos talks to him about Melisandres sacrifices and how they worked and that he is probably alive bc of sheerins death. Jon tells Sansa Arya about his real parentage . Sam also tells him the story of azor ahai. Jon Arya bran and Sansa Arrives in dragonpit. Sansa tells Tyrion about Jon and he tells Varys proposing a marriage. Jon meets with dany private, he rejects her and they discuss that they are relatives and that they must focus in killing the nk. In the war counsil Jon makes clear that they need the capital to protect the citizens and have walls to fight against the dead . Dany is angry bc cercei betrayed them and tried to kill them all and she inform her counsel that she will burn whatever it needs to take the throne . Varys tells her also about the wildfire that might be under the city. Arya suggests to sneak and kill cercei , Jon n Tyrion are negative but she goes with the queens order.(dany and Arya seems to go well with each other) Tyrion asks from dany to go outside the gates of kings landing and tells cercei to surrender and that Jamie is dead with the hope that she will as he does but instead cercei tries to kill him.

Ep 7. Volanqur. starts the same. Dany is a completely mess. She gets rejected from Jon again and she reminds him that she lost everything for him. Cercei invites the citizens inside the gates of the red keep and lies to euron that she carries his son . Tyrion leaves with a boat to go save Cercei and Jamie’s unborn child from Arya. Varys tells that to Dany and she is very angry deciding not to wait for Arya to kill her (bc tyrion may save cercei and she wants cercei dead) and attacking immeatly the city . She calls yara too. Varys try to prevent her from that bc of the wildfire but she threatens him so he turns against her and betray her by sending ravens to everyone for who Jon is and trying to convince Jon to turn against her and stop her bc he is the true king . Jon tells Dany and she burns Varys. Bran tells them the nk is near. In kl Arya arrives with the hound while the golden company and the Lannister army gets ready inside the city. They go inside the red keep from the hidden passage Arya had once used. Tyrion follows. Arya and the hound kills some guards first and then arrive in the throne room where cercei is. The clagewnboel starts after a thank you from Arya to the hound and Arya is chasing cercei in the red keep while she also kills any guard that stand ahead her. Arya has killed every soldier and cercei is locked in her room with quiburn. Then Jamie’s voice asks from cercei to open . She does and she looks at jamie .she hugs him . After cercei s cry Arya takes off the mask and tells Cercei who she is. Cercei grabs a knife but Quiburn attacks Arya first with a crossbow and shot her in her arm. While Arya kills Quiburn, Cercei turns to flee. Arya in her way to cercei sees that the hound is losing and decides to help him. The hound burns the mountains face as the only way to die. Arya gives a merciful end to the hound and his wounds. Cercei meets Tyrion in the map room but she does not trust him. She believes he’s there to kill her so she attacks him with the knife ending up to make Tyrion to choke her . Outside the gates , the north armies , edmure Tully’s man, Dothraki , unsullied, robin arryn with his men and Jon Davos and gendry are ready to attack. In the black water bay yara getting ready to face her uncle . Also a storm is coming.

Ep8. The Iron Throne. Tyrion lies next to cercei crying . Arya listens the bells and realizes the armies are ready to attack so she starts running to prevent them. Dany attacks with drogon first in the ships . She burns a lot of them and she continues with the walls and their weapons against the dragon. Nothing can stop her. She burns down the gate. The Dothraki attacks the city . Dany stops and watches from ahead. Yara kills Euron. The armies are equivalent . She looks at her soldiers dying. Jon try to prevent the rapes and kills of woman and children. A good strategy from the Lannister army doesn’t allow the unsullied to take the red keep. Arya struggles to get out of the walls of the red keep bc of the citizens. Dany sees the upcoming storm. She makes a decision. She starts burning the Lannister army and the golden company before there no one left to fight the dead. She burns down the walls of the red keep. Arya tries to escape the dragonfire. Who should be King in our version of GOT ending? Dany, Bran, Jon, Cersei, Jaime? I don’t even know

My Alternate Ending for the Iron Throne plot

This is a continuation to my alternate ending to the White Walker plot, so read that first if you haven’t. https://www.reddit.com/r/RewriteGameOfThrones/comments/cjlq35/my_alternate_ending_for_the_white_walker_plot/

This is my alternate ending for the Iron Throne plot. These changes aren’t as extensive as the ones in the last rewrite, as I personally believed the Iron Throne storyline ended in a relatively fulfilling way. I did this for fun, I am not trying to do a better job than D&D. So here goes:

Episode 4 remains mostly the same. One smaller change I’d make is that Yara accompanies Danys army to Kings Landing. She is saddened upon learning about Theons death, but is also proud that he took the Night King with him. My main change to the episode is to the part where Rhaegal died. Instead of the whole Iron Fleet hiding behind a rock, they engage Danys forces head on in a naval battle. At first Dany has the upper hand due to her dragons, but she is so preoccupied with the battle that she fails to notice Eurons personal ship hiding behind the rock, leading to Rhaegal getting shot by Euron and killed. The rest of the episode remains the same.

Episode 5 again remains mostly the same, the only characters who’s stories are different are Dany, Arya, Cersei, Euron and Yara. Drogon burns Kings Landing during the battle, laying waste to the once beautiful city. However, despite all of the death and destruction, Cersei doesn’t ring the bells, she refuses to surrender to Dany. Dany realises this, and stops destroying the city, it was never her goal to hurt innocent civilians. However, her thoughts stray to what Cersei did to Missandei, and what Euron did to Rhaegal. A close up of Dany’s face shows her hatred and growing madness overpower her better nature. Dany then goes on to attack Kings Landing even more savagely than before, slowly burning it to the ground.

In this version it is Yara that fights Euron on the beach instead of Jaime. Euron pulls out a dagger behind his back and taunts Yara, asking her where her coward of a brother is. Euron lunges suddenly at Yara, catching her off guard. Euron lands a cut across Yaras face. They grapple for the dagger, Yara manages to disarm Euron, knocking the dagger into the sand. Yara and Euron trade punches and kicks, however it is apparent that Euron is the better warrior. Euron lands a solid punch across Yaras jaw, knocking her to the ground. Euron grabs Yaras hair and pulls her head up to show her the destruction Dany is wreaking. He taunts her, asking her if this is the kind of Queen she serves. Yara headbutts Euron, Euron staggers away from her, cursing her under his breath. Yara throws herself at Euron, grabbing the dagger off the ground and stabbing him in the stomach. Euron falls to his knees, blood poring from his wound. He opens his mouth to taunt Yara one last time, but she forces his head under the water, holding him under till he drowns.

When the Hound confronts The Mountain, he doesn’t kill the rest of the Queens guard. Instead, they go with Cersei after Quyburn is killed. The Cleganebowl remains the same. As Cersei and her Queens guard are trying to get out of the red keep, they are spotted by Arya. Arya stalks Cersei, hiding in the shadows. Arya takes out the Queens Guard one by one, disappearing into the shadows again after each kill. In the end it is only Cersei left standing. Arya slowly approaches Cersei, backing her against a wall. Arya holds her dagger against Cersei’s throat, and tells her about how she’s wanted to do this ever since the death of her father, how every things she’s done since then was so she could get back at the woman who ruined her life. Cersei stares at Arya defiantly, trying not to show any fear. Arya then lowers her blade, holding it against Cersei’s stomach. Arya then remembers what the Hound told her in his last moments, and sheaths her dagger, deciding not to give up her life for revenge as he had done. Arya looks at Cersei and tells her that to live with the fact that her own children are dead because of her lust for power. Arya exits, leaving Cersei in tears. The camera alternates between shots of Arya trying to escape King Landing and Jaime trying to make it to Cersei. Jaime and Cerseis deaths remain the same. I would also change the title of this episode to ‘A Dragons Fury’

Episode 6 again remains mostly the same, a part from a couple small changes. Jon’s confrontation with Dany remains mostly the same. The only difference is that Jon stabs her with Longclaw. After Dany takes her last breath, Jon removes the sword from her stomach, sparks fly from her wound. A close up of Longclaw reveals that the blade burns with flickering tongues of flame. Drogon burning the Iron Throne and flying off with Danys body remains the same. Greyworm and a few Unsullied enter with their weapons drawn, having heard Drogons roar. Jon is too sad and devastated to even acknowledge them at first. Greyworm sees the blood on the ground, the looks at Jon, unsure what happened. Jon raises Lightbringer, and drops it on the ground. Jon puts his hands up and gets on his knees without even saying a word, his eyes filled with tears.

The rest of the episode remains that same. If you have read my rewrite of the White Walker plot, you’ll know that Bran becoming king, could potentially mean that the Night King ended up winning after all.

The music swells as we see each of the remaining Starks prepare for their new lives. Jon Snow, the Stark Bastard, The White Wolf, the Lord Commander of the Nights Watch, The King in the North, The Targaryen Wolf, The True Heir to the Iron Throne, The Prince that was Promised rides into the sunset, finally free, never looking back.

(It took me a while to write this so any commentary and thoughts would mean a lot to me)

My Alternate Ending for the White Walker plot

This is my alternate ending for the White Walker plot. Most changes are to episode 3 with a few small change to episodes 1 and 2. Not all of these ideas are mine, some are inspired by other theories and rewrites that I have read. I did this for fun, I am not trying to do a better job than D&D. So here goes:

Episode 2 stays mostly the same. The only difference is that at the end Melisandre approaches Jon and tells him the it is time for him to learn the truth about the Night King. She shows him something in the flames, the audience doesn’t see what it is, but Jon’s eyes widen with shock and terror. Melisandre tells Jon that he must not tell anyone, especially Bran.

Episode 3 remains the same untill the last half hour. The only characters who's stories are different are Jon, Bran, Arya, Theon and Beric. The dragon battle between Jon, Dany and the Night King remains the same. Arya being chased through the castle remains mostly the same, except it is only the Hound that saves her, without Beric. They don't run into Melissandre and instead go to save the helpless people in the crypts. Arya clears out the wights in the crypt with ease, the Hound is impressed with her skill but is also mad that she didn’t leave any for him. At one point, Sansa kills a Wight with her dagger, Arya sees this and has a proud sister moment.

During the battle, Bran looks into the past to figure out how to beat the Night King. He sees a Stark ancestor standing up to the dead with a dragon glass sword (Implied to be Azor Ahai). He also goes back to the time of the Mad King and tries to convince him to prepare for the threat of the White Walkers. This goes horribly wrong, the Mad King begins to repeat 'Burn them all' and becomes obsessed with burning people. Bran returns to the present, exhausted.

Jorahs and Lyannas deaths remain the same, as does most of the main battle. The living are being overwhelmed by the sheer number of Wights. Jon is fighting his way through the battle. His choice to not save Sam is more emphasised, to show Jons story of choosing duty over love. Jon ducks behind a rock to avoid the blue flames of Viserion. He is joined by Beric, who tells him to get to the godswood. Before Jon can say a word, Beric runs at Viserion giving Jon time to get past. Beric dies.

Brans bodyguards are getting overwhelmed by the wights. Bran, now desperate, wargs back to when the Night King was created. Theons sacrifice plays out the same. Theon goes down, his eyes wide, grabbing at the dragon glass spear in his stomach.

In the past vision, Bran is standing in a field when he is grabbed by the Children of the Forest and tied to a weirwood tree. A dragon glass dagger is stabbed into his heart and his eyes turn blue. Bran didn't listen to the previous Three Eyed Raven’s warning of getting too enamoured with the past and paid the price. Bran opens his eyes to see the Night King standing over him. There is nothing of Bran left in the Night King, not really. The Night King is only here to ensure his creation because he has learned his lesson; to never tamper with the past. A voice calls out Brans name.

Jon runs through the godswood, strangely The White Walkers allow him to pass. Jon repeats 'Bran!' looking at the Night King. Jon knows of Brans fate. Jon pleads with the monster that used to be his brother to stop. The Night King ignores Jon, not even turning around. Jon means nothing to him. The Night King draws his blade and raises it, to stop Bran from going back into the past again to change his fate.

Jon lunges at the Night King. The Night King lazily parries the blow and knocks Jon to the ground with ease. Jon gets back up and attacks the Night King again, desperate to keep him away from Bran. Despite being outmatched, Jon keeps fighting, even managing to disarm the Night King. However, the Night King is too much for Jon in the end, grabbing Jon by the throat and lifting him into the air. As the Night King chokes the life out of Jon, the camera shows various beloved characters being overwhelmed by Wights, facing their doom.

Theon thrusts what's left of his dragon glass spear into the Night Kings back, piecing his heart. The White Walkers burst into shards of ice, the Wights crumble. The Night King lets go of Jon and falls against the weirwood tree. The blue glow leaves the Night Kings eyes. The Night King looks up at Jon and Theon without speaking a word, his real eyes, Brans eyes say a silent thank you. The Night King bursts into shards of ice.

Theon collapses, Jon catches him. Bran forgives Theon, telling him that he is a good man. Theon dies in Jons arms, redeemed not just as a Greyjoy but as a Stark.

Melissandre walks up to Jon, telling him that while the Great Other has been defeated, the Long Night is not yet over. She turns and walks away. Jon asks her where she is going, she tells him that she has played her part, but he has yet to play his. Melissandre takes off her neckless. Time catches up to her as she walks into the sunrise one last time.

Two questions just to start: Jon’s resurrection and Stannis.

  1. there was insufficient explanation for why they wanted to bring him back. Davos had the idea, but why? He hardly knew him. It can’t just be cuz they’re sad. And surely there’s a good swordsman left who understands the threat that needs to be addressed. So why do we bring him back...what’s the motivation?

  2. Stannis or no Stannis...that is, do we keep him dead, or keep him alive to preserve the complexity he might bring to the table in the dispute for the throne. I’d like to see him play a role in the war with the dead, but maybe that’s too much.

What people clearly can’t understand about Jon’s character:

Dear people, what apparently you can’t understand is that as long as you continue to think about Jon Snow as a poor fool that can’t do anything on his own the show itself will never improve. What the show is lacking is a figure you as spectators can trust and immerse yourself in. This guy was probably the main hero of the show and it was written since season 6 like shit. Tired, afraid, even less skilled in combat, 0 intelligence, almost none charisma. And yet everyone in the show especially think this is the leader they needed, when in reality a person like that would be ignored and nobody would take him seriously, the spectator is highly confused for this psychologically, because we don’t want dumb leaders and politicians in real life (despite the fact that they exist unfortunately). However Jon Snow is too much weak, the credibility is none.

To really fix all plot points you need to start from the beginning of all: The Battle of the Bastards. Have Jon beat Ramsay on his own with brilliant tactic. Have him proclaiming himself King Jon Stark to unite the North. In season 7 have Jon fighting against Cersei and kill her in the end to unite the entire realm, have him and Daenerys marry for political alliance. Remove R+L=J. It’s crap and complicate things unnecessarily. Jon is the son of Ned and Ashara Dayne. He becomes Jon Stark. Season 8 is all focused of the White Walkers battle and Lore, lots of Lore and informations are discovered on the White Walkers, Jon and Daenerys travel all the kingdoms united to find those informations while everybody is preparing for a great battle at King’s Landing and Winterfell, more places are also preparing for battle. Main force is in the capital though. Happy ending, enemies are defeated. Jon and Daenerys are king and queen.

This would have made the best show ever, nobody would have complain about this ending. The writers decided to go for controversy instead. And they disappointed all.

Jon’s death...

Before Jon’s resurrected, what if he wargs into Ghost? I know he’s not depicted as a warg in the show, but would that matter? Could we justify it anyway? Imagine how being murdered and then being stuck in Ghost for a day or two might change his character in really interesting ways...

What i would change

For me i would change the deaths into more meaining full ones, no one really died a good death but lyanna mormont. It would of been cool to see jon being able to control viserion after HE killed the NK, i love arya shes the best but jon should of killed him. KL would of still been burnt down but not by dany entirely, but by wild fire Cersie had, dany burns the red keep and that sets off the fire. Sandor and Arya still go to KL sandor survives and he finds arya on the ground covered in ash and helps her escape but also trying to help people. Cersie and jamie have a trial, She and Sansa have one last stand off and jamie is the one to kill cersei. Idk what would happen to dany coz i really dont care about her character 😂 Sansa is still Queen of the North, Arya either goes sailing but with Gendry, or she and gendry join brother hood without banners since arya never wants to be a lady, but she does love gendry and so does he. :D thats my take anyway

Stannis kills the night king

Mothers mercy and the episodes leading up to that never happens, Stannis follows route of book, Battle of bastards happen because John thinks Stannis is dead and Bolton’s think he’s tied down, just as John loses, instead of the knights of the vale it’s stannis’s cav, Sansa does somethin idk, kings landing same thing with sept of Baelor and Tommen getting cucked. Daenerys comes and demands Stannis and John surrender, same thing happens where johns like: but I’m da king of da norf and somethin somethin, boom season 8, after a uneasy truce; battle of winter fell: actually good tactics, still end of Dothraki (they actually die this time), Stannis + John vs Night King, Stannis gives John lightbringer he kills Night King

Stannis and John March on Kings Landing; no ambush with the ships so Dany arrives faster

Kings landing falls in like an hour; armed battle between Unsullied vs north man and Stannis men, unsullied win and John kills Daenerys. Stannis is present at the great council

1 hour long episode of every noble in Westeros bending tha knee

Rate this out of 10

How much should be changed?

Personally I think that if you were to rewrite GOT ending you would need to change parts of season 7 and 8, not just 8. The other question is whether more seasons are needed
