I think it was from the 30’s or 40’s & was set in a house where the figurines, toys etc came alive. There was a bad character that played with a box of matches and started a fire. I remember a small figure of Caesar or a Roman man being very bossy, and there were 3 wise monkeys there too. That’s about all I can remember, but it was scary to me as a little kid and I defo watched it several times over the years. Any ideas welcome!
I'm not sure if this was on the Cartoon Network, but I was hoping someone might recognize this:
I'm looking for a TV show episode that my boyfriend and I saw in the late 80s or early 90s. As time passed, we forgot what show it was from. At that time, we watched a lot of animated shows. Does anybody recognize this? Here's what I remember:
A person goes to an office or something to speak to someone, I think a man. The man has this item* in his office that he either shows to the main person or just has on display. The man leaves the office for a few minutes. While the man is gone, the item starts to speak and says to the main person in a frantic, fast-paced tone of voice: "You gotta get me out of here! This guy's crazy!!". The item goes on and on about the crazy stuff the man does to him -- I don't remember for sure exactly what it says, but it was along the lines of how the man keeps it prisoner and I guess overworks or mistreats it. The item speaks extremely fast, carrying on and on.
As soon as the man returns, the item shuts up, and it's like none of this ever happened -- until the man steps out again, and the item starts ranting all over again, saying pretty much the exact same stuff.
Finally, the item convinces the main person to rescue it. So he somehow gets the item away from the man and takes it home, or to his own office, or wherever.
Then, some time later, we see the main person talking to someone, and the item is nearby. As soon as the main person leaves the room, the item starts saying the same stuff to the new person, this time complaining about the main person who rescued it: "You gotta get me outta here, this guy's crazy!!!"
*I'm calling it the "item" because for years, i thought it was a dummy or possibly a doll, but since I haven't been able to find it, I wonder if it might have been something else, like perhaps a dog or maybe a bird, or an object of some kind. Mainly it was something that would not normally carry on a conversation on its own.
I don't remember for sure, but I think this was a small segment of the bigger plot or a side story -- I don't know if the entire episode was all about this, or if the series always involved this character.
Thank you so much for your help!!!
I remember seeing as a child, probably around 1995-1999) a very strange commercial/bumper in Cartoon Network. I'm in Mexico so this was in spanish. It was a mixture of stop motion and maybe some cheap vfx. It was space themed and there was this voice over saying something about the "pioneers" ("los pioneros" in spanish, i don't know if the english version said pioneers), these pioneers were discovering something.
I get the feeling it said something about colonizing another planet.
It had the style of Mr Spim's Cartoon Theater (which you can see here: https://youtu.be/ZVYB-iORDS4 )
Hey there, folks! As a devoted fan of the '90s and early 2000s Cartoon Network, I've put together an in-depth analysis of the iconic characters and shows from that era. I'd love to hear your thoughts on whether these shows should get a reboot, a sequel, or be preserved as they are. Check it out here

I miss boomerang airing Hanna Barbara movies like the whole gang and the spruce goose. Penelope pitstop on the wacky racers on weekend mornings, looney toons the originals, yogi bear, the Jetsons, the Flintstones. At night Dexter's lab, courage the cowardly dog, and powderpuff girls I remember was the 8:00-10pm timeslots. What can you do to watch them now a days other than YouTube?
Hellk eveybody in the 1980/90's there was a cartoon intro or end credits that had a scene Discobolus does anyone know what that cartoon was.?
