RULES

1. Be nice.

Our community is built around supporting and appreciating nail art, no matter the artist's current skill level.

Do be kind with constructive criticism, don't comment anything that is needlessly rude, or hurtful.

Critiques or comments including harassment, slurs, and -isms are off the table and will result in an instant permaban.

Engaging in the same type of behavior in retaliation is also not acceptable and will end with everyone involved being banned. Report inflammatory comments. Instead of engaging we recommend you block users that make you feel uncomfortable, but haven't necessarily broken rules.

2. List polishes and products.

Include a list of polishes and products used as a comment below your post, or in the post's title. Posts without lists will be removed after 6 hours. Polish/Product FAQ

If you are a professional nail technician posting your own work products are still required.

If your nails were done by someone else or at a salon, tag the post with “Salon (list N/A)”. Product lists are not required for posts with this flair.

If your post was originally removed by the bot for account age/karma reasons, please message the mods and we will manually approve your post. You will have six hours from then to post your product list.

3. Tag and flair your posts appropriately.

The following tags are MANDATORY if they apply to your post:

• NSFW: "Not Safe For Work (NSFW)" content includes any images with blood, realistic gore, or nails painted/sculpted to portray nudity or sexual content. Final ruling is up to mod discretion.
• Promotional/PR: If your post contains any products that you received for free/as a gift/in exchange for making social media content about it, you MUST use the Promotional/PR flair. See rule 8 for more information.
• Sponsored: If you benefit monetarily in any way (you were paid to post about the brand/product, you are the brand owner, etc.) you MUST use the Sponsored flair. See rule 9 for more information.
• Salon (List N/A): If your nails were done by someone else, whether at a salon or not.
• Not My Nails: If posting someone else’s work as an inspo pic, or to ask how a certain look was accomplished, etc.

All other flairs are optional. Flairs can be added to posts after posting by editing the submission. If you're having difficulty tagging your submission ask the mods for help.

4. No BST posts.

No buy/sell/trade (BST) allowed. Please visit r/RedditLaqueristaSwap for that. Please do not message the mods of this sub for help with that sub as we do not have the same mod teams.

5. Credit other people’s work.

Do not try to pass off other people’s work as your own. If your post is not your own original work, use the “Not My Nails” tag, and either name or link to the original artist.

6. Megathread content belongs in the megathreads.

The following content is not allowed as standalone posts and belongs in one of our megathreads:

• PPU content (except manicures done with PPU polish)
• HHC content (except manicures done with HHC polish)
• Cart Posts
• Hauls
• Polish/swatch collections and/or storage unless you are posting to ask a specific question. If posting just to show what you have, it goes in the megathread.

Sale announcements are allowed as standalone posts, EXCEPT from October 1st to January 31st where we will have a “Holiday Deals” megathread. Before posting a sale announcement, please make sure there are no posts already up about the same sale. Duplicate posts about the same sale will be removed.

The “Where Are The Megathreads?” thread lists every megathread that we currently have running. You can also find the list of all the megathreads in the sidebar. No, we cannot pin them all to the top of the subreddit. Reddit does not have that function.

7. Explicit comments and post titles aren't welcome.

Appreciate nails/nail art WITHOUT mentioning explicit, graphic, or sexual terms. Referring to things as hot, sexy, etc. is not allowed. Please report any explicit or harassing behavior that you see in this subreddit. THAT SAID, please do not message us over DMs, follows, etc. as there’s nothing we can do about those (see rule 11).

NSFW nail art is allowed, but the post must be flagged as NSFW and the post must contain a SFW title.

8. This is a nail related subreddit, only share nail related content.

This subreddit is about nails: your nails, others' nails, nail art, nail care, nail issues, nail progress, nail product reviews, tutorials, etc. Non nail-related posts are not allowed.

9. Shameless advertising is not welcome.

All non-text posts must be an image/video directly uploaded to reddit (i.reddit.com, imgur, etc.). Links to your social media accounts are allowed within the comments of your post only.

Outside links to products and stores are allowed when appropriate within the context of your post or comment, however promoting products or posting solely for financial gain is not (including marketing/data collection surveys). DO NOT spam posts or comments linking to your blog, discount codes, referral links, etc., unless necessary.

E.g.: “I love that product, where did you get it?” would be the appropriate time to share links to the seller's page, or your own page. As mentioned above you must mention if you are directly benefiting from users clicking/purchasing through this link.

You must mention IN THE POST TITLE if you received products for free (including if the product is from your own brand) or are being compensated per FTC regulations. Mod Post with links to FTC regulations

You must also use the appropriate “SPONSORED” or "PROMOTIONAL/PR" tag for all parent content that contains sponsored or promotional content (see rule 3).

You must mention if your outside link is a referral/discount link.

You must mention if you're linking to your own store.

Failure to follow this rule will result in any or all of the following: an immediate ban, a ban and block on all links to your company/source within our subreddit, and your account will be reported to the Reddit Admins.

10. No asking for medical advice.

Examples of what is/isn't allowed can be found here.

11. Posts are publicly viewable.

Anything that gets posted to this subreddit is available for anyone on the internet to view and consume however they wish. It is not necessary to be a subscriber of this subreddit to view images posted here. It is not even necessary to have a Reddit account to view anything posted here. By posting here, you do so at your own risk.

Any comments made within the sub that make you feel uncomfortable should be reported to subreddit moderators, who will respond accordingly. Unwanted DMs should be reported to Reddit admins. Please do NOT report these to the subreddit moderators; we have no control over anything that happens outside of the sub.

Additionally, Reddit supplies user data to AI developers, which means that users' pictures can be scraped and sold to be used to train AI datasets. Again, post at your own risk.
