My friend and I have started a podcast to discuss the growing population of folks who are, or soon will be, gaming in their retirement years. We reckon this will make a whole new market segment for the games industry. The podcast is called Horace Goes Podcasting: For Gamers with Pong Memories. in NYC, we don't have real bike lanes but rather just markings on the streets and some streets have partition cones but cars come onto them anyways. This means teaching a 8yr old to bike safely is challenging, even with a child who's quick, can maneuver swiftly. Keeping reasonable distance from parked cars, watching not just left/right but left-rear and right-rear for cars ignoring rules, seeing when lights specific for bike lanes turns red, watching pedestrians who suddenly come onto the street, lots of action! My child's not been doing too well - no major mistakes but I see him miss a few things that could lead to risks on the road. I know it comes with age but have you ever considered any specific video games to build greater awareness and also be able to process multiple inputs at once? I've kept video games out of the house and kids only get it at friend's homes but reconsidering that. If you have specific titles and also a console recommendation, I'd appreciate that - Thanks!

Was wondering if there are any sites or places where we can swap games that we’ve finished? I just finished ghosts of Tsushima on ps5 and wanted to get another game. It’s a rip off to sell and buy with GameStop and I’d rather just swap it for another older game as I’ve not played most of the games in the past 10+ years. Maybe something like Skyrim or grab or something along those lines. Any ideas?

Hi All, this is my first time posting on r/RedditDads and just joined today. But I am currently looking to join a Minecraft Java server where it is people that have the same time constraints as me with regards to the kids/demestic duties.

I have played on a couple of open public servers and they are a little bit too fast paced and populated with a mix of grade school children to adults. I often get along with the adults that I meet on there, but it is geared towards being on constantly which is impossible.

So, looking to see if any parents have laidback servers running where you can hop on once or twice a week, and chat with some adults.

I've just been in a very rough mental state, the last few weeks, with a lot going on....

I know I shouldn't be, as very little of it actually affects me directly, but you know me...I overthink EVERYthing!

Maybe I'm just in a gaming rut, which doesn't make a lot of sense, but it would certainly explain some things; I'd try a few new titles, but not much out there really grabs my attention....

I just don't...deal with stress well...being Autistic, and all; starting to seriously consider something my primary care physician talked to me about and getting onto a generic form of Strattera...wouldn't even be that pricey, honestly, but I keep asking myself if it's worth a lot of the questions I may get asked when people know.

Trying to not ramble, but there's a lot going on in my head, and I dunno how to properly get it out, ugh....

Any dads here play R6 on PC? Got back into the game due to a recent work injury that gave me some time off and only have my brother to play with (only weekends due to opposite work schedules). This is NOT a super competitive league, but I would like to make it s super active league.

ideally i think a 48 hour Sim league is long enough. meaning after every 48 hours I will simulate (at 9 PM EST on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday)

32 team user leagues are very hard to run, but if everybody just gets on once a day at night or once every other day at night, it should be easy enough

I do have some friends in Denver and Detroit that are working on different time schedules so please, DM me for passwords and discord so you can schedule your night games and get your discord member bonus.

I'm sharing this feeling as a dad feel free to tweak, You know that feeling when you're at home after a busy Shindig and you've offloaded everything out of the vehicle including the partner and the Off-spring as you've finished settling into your clean home(side note: Try your best and Leave the house Clean especiallyif you'regoing away the feeling of returning to a Clean House or a Space you know you cleaned well) you've finished packing the leftover bevys into the places and you look back, Everyone is Napping, there's a Lull in the home its like a state of suspended animation. Wow...literally 25 failed attempts to get into my Microsoft account over the last 3 hours from a single location in a region/state called Baden-Wurttemberg in Germany; all IPs involved tracing to the exact same latitude and longitude, and nearly the same one that's been making repeated attempts on an irregular basis over the last 3 or so months; again I've got 2FA on, and I know I'm safe(email and phone notifications for failed attempts and new logins from unfamiliar locations), but I'm wondering what set off this onslaught of attempts....

Suspect some kind of bot-net, but who knows.... shrug

There's a pattern to the current/ongoing wave...; attempt is made every 4 minutes for a period of 28 minutes...it pauses for 30 minutes, then restarts...got to be some kind of automated system.

Again, the account is very safe and secure, but jeez, who/what did I get the attention of??
