“I understand it from Jos’s point of view because it is his son. Is there any bias? No, of course not. I wasn’t the only one to think that Max was over the top in Mexico. Lando Norris and [...] Zak Brown thought so too.
Personal opinion: turn 8 was more than justified for Max however turn 4 seemed kinda harsh especially considering that Lando overtook Max usually it was 10s while the offender got to keep the position (and in Austin it was 5s while keeping the position). Other drivers during the same race were not penalized.
Moreover in Austria, the defensive move Max did was done many times in the past including Lando or Max-Sainz where the person on the outside move over to the kerbs, which Lando didnt do. The touch was also very light and we have seen plenty of wheel banging this weekend. So seemed like they penalized the consequences? Furthermore they took ages to give the penalty for track limits and he did push Max off track 1.5 times aswell, obviously that wasnt an issue.
And this weekend Lando just completely cut turn 2 when he went off at turn 1, just losing 1 position, so he clearly gained a lot by going off track. Had he just gone deep in turn 1 but not gone off track he would have lost more.
And then he didnt get a fine for the start infringement. (yeah a reprimand)
Pin got 20s for not seing the chequered flag and Bustamante got a 10s stop and go for being over the line, requiring an extra formation lap and failing to start from the pitlane, which imo Lando should have been requiered to aswell (pitlane start)
Just curious, what needs to happen in the final 3 races for RBR to come out on top?
I’m guessing no one is talking about this bc Checo won’t be able to podium 3x, but even if Max and Checo double podium all 3 races, what would McLaren and Ferrari have to do to lose their leads?
I'm looking to pick up a warm Red Bull Racing outer layer ahead of the Las Vegas GP. I hear it's cold during the race and wanted to know from people who have been what is recommended.

Controversial take, but I think this race proves that F1 doesn't care all that much about safety if it conflicts with prioritizing the Brits/ the "title fight". For starters, the first incident I want to get to is Lance Stoll. They waved the red 40 seconds after he crashed. In the wet, this could've easily been a Suzuka 2014 situation. In this scenario Lance Stroll is the tractor. Someone could've easily crashed into him and made it a much, much worse situation. Delaying that red was just madness. Secondly, the start infringement. What if marshals were still out there clearing the debris and someone just crashed into them, which is a very easy thing to do since the track was wet. There was no advantaged gained, but they need to at least reprimand them with something.
Sorry about my rant, but what has the FIA become
Man this triple header really just showed all aspects of Max’s racing, Austin showed off his defensive driving, Mexico his aggression (and how sometimes it gets the better of him), and Brazil his offensive driving + wet weather race craft. What a weekend, what a triple header.
How do we think the rest of the races will pan out? Norris need like a 20 point gap on Max each weekend for the rest of the season to win the WDC so i doubt hes going to get it unless Max DNFs a few times but I suppose the threat is still there.
The FIA has fined Norris 5k. So, how do we feel about this? Feels like blatant favoritism to me, not following an aborted start procedure. I mean when you get a bigger fine for swearing than ignoring a race procedure?
So not only did lando, russel etc run the aborted start lap, they only got a measly 5000£ fine? Which is ridiculous considering they got to warm there tires up more etc… if it was verstappen we both know It would of been a way harsher penalty, jeez they are doing everything to keep lando in this thing, or maybe they realised that today, max punished them way to much and they had to go easy on them with the punishments…

What a statement and drive from him!
Meanwhile lando...
A couple of weeks ago, I posted about "which is Max Verstappen's greatest victory?" After today, this one might just top the list. This wet race was a true test, separating the men from the boys and proving Ayrton Senna's point: in the rain, the cars are equal. Though Verstappen caught a bit of luck with the red flag, he still tore through the field with incredible skill. Congratulations to my GOAT!
Will definitely go down in the history books as one of the great races , what a drive from Max!
He’s obviously the better driver. :eye roll:
Second corner Yuki is in front of Norris.. yet Norris rejoining the track in front of Yuki.
