welcome to our Sub. We as Hindus are trying to gain and spread wisdom, one scripture at a time. feel free to join in discussion about the depth and wisdom of some of the oldest scriptures in existence.
Om Shanti.

Someone on a previous thread has said that they don’t prefer As It Is when they are studying Bhagavad Gita. Here is one of the ones that I use, since nobody has provided another translation.
https://www.holy-bhagavad-gita.org
It is always good to have multiple translations when reading something from Sanskrit, anyways, so this should help those who like As It Is or have their own book anyways.
i know you people have a lot of questions as to how are we going to move ahead with this and what exactly are my reasons for doing this.
"REASON":
VISION: well read and balanced individuals who take on the world with a well reasoned and thought out philosophy that's deeply rooted in faith and improved upon by experiences and conscience of common folks.
"ROADMAP":
BOOK OF THE MONTH: this is going to be the pinned post for the month clearly telling anyone visiting the Sub as to which scripture are we going through. you'll be free to post your experience and thoughts about it so that others can discuss and benefit from it.
SUGGESTION THREAD: Every third week, there will be a post asking you people for suggestion as to what scripture should be taken for next book of the month. if you find suggestion of some other user interesting, simply upvote them. 4 Books with most suggestions will go to the voting thread.
VOTING THREAD: Last week of every month, Voting thread will be up. Of the 4 Scriptures from the suggestion thread, you people will vote for the one you want should be taken next. the one with highest votes will be the scripture for the next Month.
RESOURCES THREAD: a thread where you'll get the PDF(and possibly an EPUB) version of the Book of the month in the beginning of the month so that all of you at least have the resource to go through.
SUMMARY THREAD: Everyone reading is encouraged to make their person notes, preferably in digital format and once we're done with book of the month, send it to Mods. we'll host all the summaries in a Summary thread for anyone who skipped reading for some reasons.
FINAL WORD: i would ask all of you to read the scriptures by yourself. take out half an hour everyday atleast for reading. Hindus don't leech value, they give value and that's what i'd expect from all of you. Be better than your excuse of "i'll read tommorow or i'll start tommorow". OM SHANTI
Since this is the first sub i've tried created, i would be glad if you people can provide valuable assistance and suggestions to set it in motion. feel free to invite Hindus you know of on my behalf. Shubhaarambh karte hain.
