A couple weeks ago I found a cute knitting pattern ebook that was originally $11.99 but was on sale for $2.99, so that's what gave me the idea :)
Have posted an intro and offer/contest before. You can also post them now before the contest ends.
Greetings! (: I just came across this subreddit, and I'm STOKED. I love crafting, and it's great to be joining a community of people who love crafting as much as I do! (: I just recently have gotten into crocheting, and I am an ADDICT so far.. lol(: If you have any questions, lemme know! :D
Hello Crafters! I am so happy to have found this subreddit. I love crafting. Crocheting is my absolute favorite. I have been crocheting for over 10 years but I only recently forced myself to read patterns. I have made a zig zag afghan and a wave afghan. I have to read the pattern and then find a youtube video to help me figure out what to stitch. But I am crocheting some really pretty pieces.
My son and I have been creating with Pearler Beads this summer too. He likes the Biggie Beads and I use the small ones. I just finished a Mario Plant that I "potted" in a clay pot I painted green. I also made a complete breakfast set that I hot glued magnets to and sent to my Redditgifts Magnet Giftee.
I have started painting with acrylics but have only made 2 paintings so far. I also enjoy cross-stitching. And sometimes I paint miniatures for my husband's Warhammer game. But my first love is crocheting. I am 32 and live in Bellevue, Nebraska.
Hi! My name is Ariella! I am a 22 yro F. My birthday is February 16th, and I live in the U.S. I am married and I have a 3 mo. old kitten names Veena . She is a cuddly, stubborn, pain in my butt.
My hobbies are Metal Smithing, Pottery, Herbalism, Hiking, Playing Video games and Board games.
I am excited to become a part of a healthy crafty community :)
Here is something to get conversations rolling.. What is your favorite season, and why??
Please come join my new subreddit, /r/Gifting :)
After the holidays, I'll be giving away some craft supplies back on RAOC too.
Hey guys! I'm new here, but not to reddit. I love any and everything cats, books, and crafts. I'm currently trying to learn how to sew, but don't have any of the supplies. I've been branching out more and hopefully can find some friends with the sane interests. I've done some stamping and stenciling, jewelry and beadwork, and am now hoping to get into the clothes and sewing area. I'd love to learn how to make a handmade backpack/messenger bag. Crafting has been so fun and relaxing for me, plus a sense of accomplishment from finishing a project. I'm so excited to be in a subreddit that feels the same. So please, anything from questions, comments, and even your own diy tutorials, are gladly appreciated.
I live in Hot Springs, AR and love meeting crafty people. I got into making little stone fairy houses for garden decorations back in the 90's. Along with learning a lot, my passion for Fairies and Dragons has grown. I now also build Fairy Doll Houses.
I'm always looking for broken jewelry, colored glass or stained glass, broken plates, driftwood. A lot of that stuff I can find for free or real cheap, but what I use to put them together is where I spend most of my money. I've learned never to use hot glue or super glue. Down in the south you can have some really hot days and those two glues don't hold up well in the heat.
I am a veteran on disability. That puts me with more time on my hands than I got money. Making crafts keeps me sane.

I'm a little bit bad at introductions :p but here goes anyway!
I love making things, I will try nearly every craft.
But my favorites are anything with fiber, I love spinning, crochet and knitting. I still have to learn weaving though.
I'm a costume design student, and I know how to sew, and I also love that, sometimes I can't choose between that and yarn. :)
Anyway, nice to meet you all.
Hi my name is Shelby and I absolutely love to craft, now with that said I am not always the best and sometimes I let my impatience get the best of me but I will always salvage the project or turn it into something new. I make a lot of things that I don't always know what to do with and now I found the perfect place :)
This is only the 2nd blanket I've made and this one is a lot bigger. I'm not close to being done yet and its shedding. Anyone else have this problem?
I found some free ebooks about crocheting. Thought I'd share the news.
number one

enjoy!
My name is Hayley. I am woefully terrible at crafting, but I am trying to teach myself a few things.
I am always happy to make new friends and I hope to see some awesome crafts from this sub!
Have the best day!
Hi! I'm Nel. I currently watercolor, sew, and make greeting cards. Currently, I want to learn calligraphy and to knit or crochet. I love DIY in all it's forms and make most of my own holiday decorations and gifts. I also make or grow a lot of my own food. I'm saving up to get a decent sewing machine so I can begin to make my own clothes, blankets, etc. Ask me anything you want to know.I'm an open book :)
So recently I got my mother to get the courage up and finally try to sell the stuff she makes. I think she does an amazing job but her confidence isn't great on them. However, I wanted to show them off to you guys because I know you appreciate crafted things :)
What do you guys think of her crafts? :)
What are you making? Is it for you or as gifts? Let's hear it all :D
Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Symbol
Breaking Bad - Walter White/Heisenberg Characters
I will be making more soon. I want to create more BrBa items and I want to finish the South Park characters as well.
Hey just a quickie about me, been crafting for under a year. My first major craft project was candles. I love making candle and still do, started with sewing and other crafts and JUST started crewel work (which is so much fun!) So yeah that's me :)
Hi! I recently got a box of gulf wax (it only has 3 bars in it though) and I do not know what to do with it. I want to do something crafty, but I don't have a whole lot and I can't seem to think of anything to do with it. This seemed like a good outlet to find ideas though!
Hi! Names Courtney and I'm a crafty person at heart who gets little time and money to craft! When I do I like cross stitch and wacky DIY stuff. I've spent hours on stumbleupon.com searching for crafty ideas and Christmas is my favorite time because I get to craft lots of meaningful things!
Anyways enough about me! What do you all craft!?
Hi all! I have never visited here before! Seems like a nice community! I was actually sent this way by some friends in a different Random Acts Subreddit. I have some beads that I found when I was cleaning/moving and I have no use for them. They are all sorts and I will send them where ever (within reason). If anyone is interested let me know!
