RULES:

  1. Remember the human. Very few spambots post here - there's always another human person on the other side of the screen.
  2. Keep your criticism constructive. Nobody's saying you have to like what you see (art is subjective!), but if you don't like a post, try to understand what OP's going for, and assist them.
  3. Original submissions only. Posted designs must be your own work (with some exceptions)
  4. Design Guidelines: Posts that do not follow the design guidelines will be removed.
  5. Redesign Guidelines: Redesigns of existing race tracks must also follow the redesign guidelines or be removed.
  6. Memes and bandwagoning: /r/RTD is not a meme sub. Low-effort jokes, low-effort memes, and bandwagoning will be removed.
  7. Unofficial Competition Guidelines: If your competition idea is too big for an RTD Challenge, setting up your own competition is allowed, with restrictions.
  8. Don't make "this looks like X circuit" comments. Comments like "This looks like/reminds me of X Circuit/gives me X vibes" aren't useful or constructive, and most of the time any superficial similarity in top-down layout is meaningless - with elevation, length, width, camber etc. taken into account the circuits will drive and race completely differently. If you see a similarity, expand upon why you think they're similar, and why that similarity is important. Comments that are just "looks like X" will be removed.
  9. Don't escalate conflicts. If something doesn't comply with the above rules, please report it. If a post has been removed, don't add to the comments. Trying to own/get back at a troll or a spammer doesn't do any good.
  10. Misinformation/Fake News: While detail and realism are acceptable (even encouraged!), attempting to present content from RTD as a real circuit on other platforms is not allowed.
  11. Moderator discretion applies. Trying to rules lawyer your post back into existence won't work when you're breaking the spirit of the rules. Publicly making a scene over moderator action is a bad look and could call for further action from the mods.

Unnamed Track 1

This is my first design, I'll work on trying to improve the quality, anyway, I hope you like it.

Full course features 12 corners while the short layout features 9 corners.

The track is run clockwise.

Kart Track Layout - Feedback Appreciated

This is the first version of the track, so it’s not perfect and some details are missing, but I just wanted t know what you guys think. I made this karting track as an addition to a gp track I’m working on. The main layout is ~947m and 13 turns, the medium layout is ~575m and 7 turns, and the short layout is ~438m and 6 turns.

What do you think what things are changes at Goiânia for MotoGP

Since MotoGP has Brazil on its provisional calendar for 2026 to 2030. What layout changes would you do for safety changes and or better racing?

How do you add elevation change on a 2D surface?

How would you add elevation change details on a track design if it's not 3D. I've seen a lot of different ways, so I was wondering what you do, and whether you think it's clear. Thanks!

Twin Cities Club Circuits (first try at road courses)

I think I got the scaling okay? Probably too wide as usual but having to draw it with my finger makes it kind of hard to make that kind of thing consistent and look good. Comparing it to the highway though I think it’s good enough.

Full size club days every other Friday and Karts every other Sunday on alternate weeks. Every Saturday INEX Legend racing is held as well.

The karting track has multiple layouts for local, Pro, and event rental use. The extended full mile layout is reserved for professional karting however.

Hope I did the challenge right, had to extend the kart circuit with that top bit afterwards to meet the length requirements. Also the first time doing a road course so any feedback on that would be nice. I’ll post another oval soon.

Twin Hills Motorsport Park | RTD Challenge #54 [REUPLOAD]

The Twin Hills Motorsport Park is a new venture of a local family with lots of racing pedigree. The South Circuit (On the left) is a 1,76 km (1,1 miles) clockwise circuit with 12 turns and 4 different configurations that's used for minor club racing events and karting. The North Circuit (On the right) is a 2 km (1,24 miles) clockwise circuit with 14 turns and 5 different configurations that's used for greater events with lots of cars. A great characteristic of the complex is that you can pay and enter with your own car in both circuits kinda like you can do in the Nurburgring.

[NOTE: This is a reupload of another post I did because I discovered that the South Circuit was slightly shorter than it should for the it to count as a valid entry in the challenge]

Hope you like :)
