Again I’m done talking to idealogues man. They say shit like “I can generalize men however I want because I have a list of resources that back me up…” blah blah blah blah blah blah. Guess what doofus? Evopsychtards and Red Pill overdosers say the exact same thing when they pull up evolutionary psychology to say dumb shit like women are nothing but hypergamous opportunists who only see men as resources to be extracted. Fuck me dude it’s hypocrisy. I don’t care how many statistics you can pull up to justify why your generalization of an entire gender is A-OK while generalizing your gender is not.
So I was scrolling tinder, as one does, and I realized that there was a hyper specific trend in women, and lack of trend in men, that could be reversed pretty easily. Most importantly, this trend is subtle, and isn't too groundbreaking (I think). In short, cow print. I see a lot of people (specifically those who identify as female/feminine) wearing cow print tops or whatever.
I was curious, so I did some digging for cow print clothes for male identities, and came up with really large standard print design, and clothes specifically geared towards Korean males, who at the sites that I saw, weren't super duper masculine. There could be one exception to this rule however that I have thought of, and that's cowboy attire. Then again, I know very little about that culture in general, so I may be wrong.
Now as for the why. Why is cow print geared towards females? Wait, it can't be.... that obvious... Right? It's not... THAT right...? Like the super duper obvious comparison? If so.... That's kinda..... Uuhhh.... If you understand what I'm saying, then in terms of how we see gender that might have some disturbing implications...
Anywho, what do you think?
It will be too long winded to post here. It’s going to cover what I call the unholy trinity of modern gender ideology. Feminism, Red Pillism, and Traditionalism. I now feel that these faulty ideologies each have a warped view of the historical and modern reality of gender relationships and are only based on cherry picked truths stretched way out of proportion. Everyone gets whacked with my fury in it, I leave no one unscathed. Everyone is now guilty of the modern divide between the genders and they need to be called out.
I would like to hear from anyone still lurking in the comments of RR theory, if there is any. Whichever side you fall on, what is your major beef in the gender war? What do you hate most about whatever or whoever in this major conflict? I don’t care who you are. I speak as someone who has gone through all three of these ideologies at certain points in my life. And I have come to realize recently that I have been heavily lied to by them all. So I have no attachment to any of these worldviews anymore. Maybe sympathy, but not attachment. Say whatever you want no matter how angry it is. I want to see what people think.
As to why I’m posting this here? I think RR theory is the most appropriate place for it. The purple pill Reddit is too antagonistic. It’s not helping solve the conflict between the genders. It’s just fanning the flames more. And I’m not going to a place dominated by feminist or red pill thought. That won’t help either.
I (as a tall dude) know a lot of dudes who are insecure about their height. However on r/RoleReversal I see a lot of posts about short guys making me wonder to what degree people into RoleReversal have differing preferences in comparison to the rest of the population.
I'm pretty curious as I've seen the RR subreddit bring up talking points for both sides of the debate (feminists points vs male rights activist points) and the few posts I could find discussing these issues seems to be more split than I'd thought.
For me a certain amount of shared values with my partner is important. Since I've always held such oddball beliefs I've always wondered what political leanings this oddball group would have as that would give me a better understanding of my odds of finding someone.
People have correctly pointed out that domestic violence of all sorts against women and children will increase dramatically during the coronavirus epidemic. I'm not mad about that. What I'm sad about is the fact that people are still ignoring/denying the fact that men are also abused at nearly the same rates and in all the same ways that women are, and that they are still coming up with deceptive or disturbing rationalizations for that. And this has carried over into the COVID epidemic, with people piling up all their empathy and concern on one gender over another. Does anyone really have any reason to believe that abuse of men will not also dramatically increase? I don't think it really matters if they have a reason though, they never really needed one in order to continue being this apathetic.
Here is a link to a video with some proof that men are just in need of concern and help when it comes to domestic violence and that even researchers themselves are somewhat biased when it comes to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwB4iJs__Bo. It has some criticism of radical feminists but I think a feminist truly interested in equality should bear it and accept the criticism. This misrepresentation and misuse of data and research has gone on for a long time with patriarchal chauvinists, hyper-traditionalists, and radical feminists and there is going to be a huge reckoning for the lies one day if people don't start treating this issue with some consistency and authentic concern.
I've heard people say that RR is just a way to have a relationship, others have said it's more like an identity, some have claimed that it's related in some way to LGBT. What is RR to you?
I've noticed that RR is somewhat interesting to some trans people. I'm not trans myself, but I'd like to know if you are, what is your relationship to RR? Same if you're gay or a lesbian.
Does anyone have any suggestions for good books about gender and sexuality to read that could have an RR interpretation?
While I haven't yet read any of these, I've been told some good starting points are Judith Butler's undoing gender, Foucault's History of sexuality and Bell Hook's The Will to Change: Men, Masculinity, and Love
I have anxiety and possibly autism. I feel like the anxiety has been caused in part by never being able to feel comfortable in who I really am. I've also heard complaints from some that all sub boys seem to have mental health issues. Does anyone else feel similarly to this? What's everyone's relationship to mental health here? What can be done to help people in RR with mental health issues?
