For the record I’ve owned the stock for about a year now and have some 2026 leaps I bought last year, but I wonder what the spread is for short positions given how high short interest is and where covering becomes necessary to prevent margin calls.
These guys are the must watch for all Rocket Lab investors.
Hi, what cause RKLB gain 8% ? The earning delay or Archimede ?
The value of being hyper vertically integrated is a point worth making about Rocket Lab too.
Edit: Oops! My clipboard from my iPad got transfer to my Mac. Sorry. The link is correct now.
Thoughts on our RKLB becoming profitable in 2025?
I personally think so but I am also a big believer in this company since we have an order backlog of over 1 billion and a valuation below 2 billion. In the space sector, this seems very solid when other companies cannot keep up.
Seeing people in here confused about the covered calls for the last equity raise.
In a nutshell without getting too technical if the share price raises above a certain value the loan holders can call shares and dilute the stock via issuance and selling of more shares make money against the equity raise.
The call option that rocket lab purchased protects shareholders so if the stock skyrockets share holders don’t get shafted so upside is protected vs if it didn’t exist the loan holder could make much more money off the share price wherever it lands.
That’s the simplest explanation.
If you’re feeling spicy here you go, it’s dense.
I've noticed a fair number of people on here fret over the day to day stock price or how many launches are going to happen this quarter. I can't speak for others but i bought(and continue to buy) this stock fully expecting it to be 5+ years before there are significant returns. I believe in the Mission of Rocket Lab and in the leadership of Peter Beck and the competent team to deliver on their goals and really become a titan of the growing Space Industry. If you're investing in RL because you think it's a meme stock and you'll get some "free tendies" you're really doing yourself a disservice in the long term. Nothing easy is ever good and patience will be rewarded. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk 😂
Love this company…🚀🚀🚀
Will she buy again today?
The CEO has just confirmed the existence of the famed single major reaction wheels megaconstellation customer while talking about upping the Sinclair Planetary's reaction wheels production:
"And we have one customer now that's consuming, this year, they'll consume over two thousand wheels."

EDIT: The second interview with the CEO and the CFO by DaveG discusses this contract, too.
"We can't really talk too much about that but I, you know, would say that, correct me if I'm wrong but we're on track for like 2000 wheels this year or something like that (...) we can apply that scale manufacturing to those other smaller volume orders and get the cost reductions that go on with. It should be a material margin enhancer to all the rest of the business as well. It's not just, you know, helpful that we're getting, that we have this megaconstellation customer (...) Is the revenue being recognized from that deal like this year? Yes."

Probably not a good sign...
I am watching for increasing institutional ownership as it will lead to positive price action. Saw this a week ago, but it is the only place that displays such a high %.
Any ideas or explanations?
Rocketlab's $150m (120m still optional at this point) solar contract is a multi year contract for a defense prime. It is therefore likely a product of the recent SDA tranche contract round, and in that case is it likely that as the larger primes are awarded large parts of the $25bn tranche budget over the next 5 years, Rocket Lab will remain subcontracted as the solar provider for this particular prime? This could expand quite substantially beyond $150m.
Reasonable to infer that this contract includes around or over 30% profit margins based on Spice's comments regarding new contracts today, although maybe uncertainty here is the reason the whole bundle has not been picked up yet.
For me key takeaways include: -Missing launch number of 22 -Seems Neutron will be delayed -Other competitors are not in as good of a position as Rocket Lab -Backlogs wont seem to push away business -still too early to give color to SDA contract
Give me some insight on anything I missed. Have a great day everyone
